Chapter 5: CH.5 | Enjoy the City Night With Ya Fei

Night fell, and they all began to relax after a full day of cultivation.

An Yue mentioned that her body felt much more energized and refreshed.

Yun Yun and the others expressed the same feeling. During dinner, only Luo Mei gave no response.

Even though she didn’t respond to Lin Tian’s words, she smiled brightly while chatting with Yun Yun and Ji Xue.

Seeing that kind of reaction, Lin Tian began to think wildly.

Could it be... Luo Mei hates me?

"Senior Sister An Yue, can I ask for some money?" Ya Fei asked.

"What for?" An Yue replied.

"Yesterday I saw some nice clothes in the city. I’m interested and want to buy them," Ya Fei said.

Lin Tian fell silent for a moment. He was still concerned about his disciples’ safety.

His attention shifted to Ya Fei, and he wondered whether she also knew about Luo Mei’s condition of being too indifferent toward Lin Tian.

Dinner ended. As usual, they returned to the dorm to rest. But Ya Fei was different.

She waved goodbye and left Lingxian Sect.

Lin Tian remained in the front courtyard, watching her leave alone for the city.

After An Yue and the others arrived at their dorm, Lin Tian focused his gaze forward and moved in a flash of white light.

His goal was very simple, to follow and make sure Ya Fei stayed safe.

Luckily, she hasn’t learned aura detection yet, so she won’t realize I’m following her.

Lin Tian continued moving, walking step by step as he left the sect and arrived at Gui City.

From a distance, he saw Ya Fei arrive in the middle of the lively night crowd.

Several cultivators passed by, not caring about other people’s business.

Lin Tian arrived above Gui City and saw Ya Fei with a lazy expression entering one of the equipment shops.

It seemed she was only half-hearted about buying a weapon.

His hand waved to the side, and Lin Tian’s appearance changed from his sect robe into a luxurious white outfit.

He landed gently and activated a technique to conceal his cultivation base, making himself not stand out to others.

That was one of the most effective ways to draw out a merchant’s honesty.

Lin Tian entered and saw Ya Fei looking confused while choosing a weapon, her attention fixed on a sword and a dagger.

"You’d be better off taking that whip," Lin Tian said softly.

Ya Fei reflexively turned, her expression startled.

She saw Master Lin standing near her, wearing a golden robe, with long black hair and the same handsome face.

"Master—"

"My name is Tian Lin," Lin Tian replied.

Ya Fei froze for a moment when Lin Tian covered her mouth, then she nodded in response.

Instead of being afraid, Ya Fei was actually intrigued and addicted when Lin Tian’s hand touched her face.

"I like seeing a different side of you," Ya Fei said.

She reached out and took the whip according to Lin Tian’s suggestion, "I’ll choose this one, because Senior Tian Lin picked it for me."

Her change in attitude was very fast.

The whip cost 5 spirit stones, leaving 5 spirit stones remaining, and Ya Fei didn’t know whether she could buy the clothes with that amount.

However, she thought that she would definitely be stopped from buying other clothes since Master Lin was nearby.

The two of them walked out of the shop, walking side by side like a pair of lovers in the busy city at night.

Ya Fei’s steps stopped in front of a boutique, looking at a beautiful red dress.

Her eyes sparkled, but her smile was forced.

"I’ll buy it later when I have money," Ya Fei said softly.

Lin Tian came over and looked at Ya Fei. The woman looked awkward and uneasy.

"Wait... Master Lin. I didn’t plan to—"

"Do you want that red dress?"

Ya Fei was surprised, then looked forward again.

With a small nod, she honestly admitted that she wanted the red dress.

"My mother once bought me a red dress. And the one in this boutique... is the same as my mother’s," Ya Fei said softly.

"Then let’s buy it," Lin Tian said.

"B-But..."

Lin Tian entered and asked the boutique attendant to bring the red dress.

He told Ya Fei to try it on because he thought it would suit her beautiful face and blonde hair.

Coming out from one of the rooms, Ya Fei walked shyly.

The dress perfectly shaped her body, her waist slim, her hips just right, and her breasts standing out prominently.

Lin Tian’s eyes widened, then closed briefly to calm his mind.
