Heavenly Harem: Raising My Disciple With Infinite Dual Cultivation
Chapter 93: | Wu Forest
Lin Tian had fully recovered and was ready to take revenge on behalf of the Lingxian Sect against the Nadao Sect and the Wuwei Sect. Finding them wouldn’t be difficult; forcing another cultivator to talk about their whereabouts would be more than enough.
However, while he was working out his plan, he thought of Li Qingxue and the Yunlan Sect. It would be far more effective if he brought that woman along with him. She might know something about the two sects Lin Tian was now targeting.
"Are you... planning to leave, Master Lin?"
"Yeah," said Lin Tian, his attention fixed straight ahead, "I have to pay back the Nadao Sect and the Wuwei Sect."
Hearing that Lin Tian was about to attack another sect again shocked An Yue. She was worried that what Lin Tian was doing would end up causing even worse consequences for the Lingxian Sect.
But she couldn’t stop him either. Lin Tian had made up his mind about it, and as his disciple, An Yue had no right to say anything.
"Can I come with you, Master Lin?" An Yue asked.
Lin Tian went quiet, a little surprised after hearing that An Yue wanted to go with him. The man didn’t know and couldn’t guess what reason lay behind her wish.
But the look in her eyes hinted at seriousness and conviction. She showed no signs of fear or nervousness at all, even though she knew Lin Tian was planning to take on an entire sect.
There would be a lot of danger lurking ahead, but with An Yue staying by Lin Tian’s side, her safety could be guaranteed.
In the end, Lin Tian nodded in agreement with An Yue’s wish. For the time being, Lin Tian asked Ya Fei to go to An Xiao and asked that woman to lead the sect while he was away.
Ya Fei knew what she had to do. Lin Tian turned to the side, looking directly toward the rocky hill where Cao Ying was cultivating.
"Cao Ying."
Hearing Lin Tian call her name made Cao Ying open her eyes right away. In a flash of red light, Cao Ying left the stone cave and arrived at Lin Tian’s side.
"What is it, Lin Tian?" Cao Ying asked.
"I’m going to attack the Nadao Sect and the Wuwei Sect. I want you to come with me," Lin Tian answered.
"Both of those sects only have cultivators at the Early and Mid Nascent Soul level at best. I think you alone could handle them."
"No. You’re still coming, as a precaution."
Cao Ying let out a sigh, then gave a short sound of agreement. With the two of them combined, they could force the Nadao Sect and the Wuwei Sect to surrender quickly without having to destroy everything there.
Once they were ready, they flew away from the Lingxian Sect. Lin Tian let his spiritual qi feed into An Yue’s qi sword to make sure she could keep up with the flying speed of both Lin Tian and Cao Ying.
Cao Ying was a little taken aback when she saw An Yue, a Mid Foundation Establishment cultivator, coming along with Lin Tian to attack a sect. She asked about it right away.
"It’s pretty dangerous bringing An Yue with us. Are you sure?" Cao Ying asked.
"Yeah. I’m here to protect her. They won’t be able to hurt her," Lin Tian answered.
Seeing the confidence on Lin Tian’s face put Cao Ying at ease. They flew quickly across the sky on their way to the Nadao Sect.
Thanks to Cao Ying’s knowledge and understanding, Lin Tian was able to find out where the Wuwei Sect was located. Between the two sects, only the Wuwei Sect’s location was close to the Lingxian Sect.
They arrived at the dense Wu Forest, flying above it while staying on guard. Through Cao Ying’s qi aura vision, she was able to spot several cultivators keeping watch at various points throughout the forest.
"There are a few cultivators keeping watch in the Wu Forest. Their cultivation level’s about the same as An Yue’s," Cao Ying said.
"Stop!" shouted one of them, a Wuwei Sect cultivator wearing a dark green uniform robe.
Cao Ying and Lin Tian stopped flying, and so did An Yue. The man in front of them pressed his hands together and bowed respectfully.
"Greetings, Senior."
"Forgive my rudeness, but I’d had no choice but to stop you because you’ve entered the Wuwei Sect’s territory," the man said.
"If Senior’s willing, Senior may turn back."
Lin Tian stepped forward, walking along the sky floor above the Wu Forest. "I’ve got important business with the Wuwei Sect. Could you take me to your sect?"
The man looked like he broke into a cold sweat hearing Lin Tian’s request, unsure of how to respond. His sect leader’s orders were absolute, forbidding anyone without a sect invitation token from entering the Wuwei Sect’s territory.
"Could this Junior see your invitation token, Senior?"
"I don’t have one," Lin Tian answered.
"Then the Wuwei Sect Leader’s orders are clear about forbidding anyone without an invitation from entering the sect," the man said again.
Cao Ying sharpened her gaze hard, flames already rising in her palm. "Let’s just kill him. He’s wasting our time."
Lin Tian stopped her, then turned his head back to look at An Yue. Through his eyes, he read that the Wuwei Sect man had an Early Foundation Establishment cultivation base, his strength even weaker than Lin Tian had expected.
"This could be your chance to fight a cultivator from another sect, Yue’er."
An Yue was startled, then her eyes locked straight ahead. She flew past Lin Tian with a serious look on her face.
"Let’s make a deal. If An Yue beats you, we get to pass."
The man smiled smugly, confident he could defeat a woman like An Yue. "Sure."
"What should I do, Master Lin? This is my first one on one fight," An Yue asked.
"Read your opponent’s abilities, then think of the best technique to defeat them," Lin Tian answered.
An Yue took in what Lin Tian said. Her heart was pounding like crazy. The opponent in front of her was a disciple from another sect with a cultivation base nearly equal to her own.
There was a small hint of doubt in An Yue’s heart, but she knew she couldn’t let Lin Tian down. The techniques she’d been learning all this time would come in handy in a moment like this.
After steadying herself, An Yue opened her eyes and began activating her qi sword. Her opponent did the same, bringing out his own qi sword technique.
Two flying swords clashed in the sky as Lin Tian and Cao Ying waited behind, watching the fight.
"Her technique’s still limited, but her attacks are pretty strong," Cao Ying said.
"Yeah, you’re right."
Every time she completed a disciple task, she gained an improvement in her combat efficiency.
Now it was time to see whether An Yue’s training had been effective all along.
