The soft glow of the twin morning suns crested the horizon, bathing Ava, lying on her soft mattress, in its warmth.

She was still in her velvet night garment and had just confirmed the exit of the last of her roommates headed for the day’s training.

The excuse she had given for her uncharacteristic refusal to partake in the day’s training was that she was feeling under the weather and needed time to rest.

But Ava knew that was a lie.

She had not been able to sleep a wink the entire night and had been quite restless for the morning to come.

She was first disappointed that Caleb had suggested they move the timing of their date....

He then explained why....

He told her he had guests present, and he would rather move their special date to her own, more conducive accommodations.

Ava wasn’t sure where those ladies had disappeared to, but she knew he was talking about them, and she, too, did not want them interrupting what they were about to do.....

especially when Caleb had suggested they try some things she was nervously looking forward to.

What delighted Ava the most was that he suggested they reschedule their date for the next day, meaning he was also eager to see her again.

However, considering she shared her accommodations with the other female heroes, she had to wait for them all to leave for training... that way, she and Caleb would have the entire space to themselves until the afternoon, when the other girls would return.

She had been quite nervous when she went to Caleb’s place yesterday, not quite sure what to expect, or if her feelings would be reciprocated.

The promise they had made to be together might have been her most important cherished promise, but she wasn’t certain it was the same for him.

And considering the changes he had gone through... compounded with the fact that he had lost a great deal of his memory....

It was a miracle that he still felt the same as she did; otherwise, Ava wasn’t sure what she might have done if that wasn’t the case.

Excitedly, Ava jumped out of her mattress as her maidservant was already waiting on standby.

While she went and prepared for her date, she ordered her maidservant to prepare something fancy for when Caleb came over, so it would be like a proper date setting.

Ava felt like she had butterflies in her tummy as she pranced through their luxurious accommodations.

All the years of waiting and longing had made her almost consider the dreadful thought that Caleb never actually felt the way she did....

She rather felt that them being transmigrated to this new world was actually a good thing because it had finally brought them together.

About an hour or so later, Ava was now dressed up in a beautiful purple gown, while she patiently awaited the arrival of Caleb.

The fancy feast for their date, already well prepared and arranged on an ornate dinning table with two seats by Ava’s maidservant, as she soon excused herself for the rest of the day as directed by Ava.

A few extra minutes had passed since the designated time of Caleb’s arrival, and Ava was about to start panicking when she saw Caleb walk in through the entrance with his hands in his pockets....

and on his face he had that mesmerizing smile that made her heart flutter in rapid beats.

A blushing smile crept onto Ava’s cheeks as she stood to meet Caleb.

Saying nothing and not even being able to look him directly in the face, she simply grabbed him by the hand and pulled him towards the direction of the feast she had prepared.

Smiling, Caleb sat down on the opposite chair, while Ava took the other.

There was a stretch of silence between them before Ava spoke...

"I.... made breakfast..." she murmured without looking up.

"You did ?....."

"Of course.... I did." Ava countered defensively, now looking Caleb straight in the face as she blushed.

"Why don’t I believe you ?....."

".....Or should we call in your maidservant to confirm ?" Zorat teased jokingly as Ava grew silent for fear of being exposed.

"Somehow, you look even more beautiful today....." he complimented, as Ava murmured ’thank you’ in a blush.

Zorat had arrived late to his ’date’ with Ava for one simple reason.

Today wasn’t just about a ’date’; that would serve zero benefits to him.....

It was about fulfilling the desires of one very interesting young man he had marked as his next target...

So, Zorat had first gone to the training ground and left specific instructions to his new henchman, Broddy.....

And he just has to hope that Broddy can carry out said instructions smoothly without causing any unnecessary complications.

When he was done with setting that up, Zorat had come straight here, to meet the star of today’s showcase. Ava.

"You are not eating, Caleb.... Do you not like what’s prepared ...." Ava mumbled worriedly as she saw Caleb just staring at his food.

"I can have another plate made...."

"No...there’s nothing wrong with the food, Ava." Zorat interrupted slowly.

"Then....are you not hungry ?" Ava muttered, confused.

"Well, I am.....but I am hungry for something else." Zorat whispered as he gazed meaningfully at Ava...

He drew his shadowy gaze across her flawless neckline, down her heaving cleavages as a subtle smile curved the corner of his lips.

"wha....Caleb!...you scoundrel!..." Ava stammered into a flustered blush as she instantly read Caleb’s meaning, her heart rate skyrocketing with brand new sensations unraveling within her at Zorat’s persistent gaze.

"What can I say, Ava....."

"You look so appetizing today..." Zorat whispered sultrily as he drew his chair over to hers..... 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

with him now facing her directly, and his manly musk of fresh dew wood and something inexplicably enticing, enveloping Ava’s senses.....

Her blush deepened as she brought both hands to cover her face.... then in embarrassment, she murmured, blushing... "I.... I do ?"

"Yeah...." Zorat purred as he slowly removed her hands from her flustered face, revealing her glimmering large blue eyes that looked at him with such naked trust and vulnerability.

"....You do," he added endearingly.

Before Zorat could even go for another of his go-to lines.....

Ava’s lips came up to meet his, in a deep sensual kiss.
