Help! I Think We Summoned A Demon King
Chapter 131: Such A Bad Mother
Liora has been having quite an experience.
Turns out, there was not just one... but two other gorgeous women staying with the honored one. Her daughter sure has her job cut out for her.
The first one, she was made to understand, was a guest, the origins of which were still unknown, and even the poor girl had lost her memory from a very severe accident that might have taken her life otherwise.
And since the honored hero happens to be the one who had saved her, she chose to stay at his place out of the other heroes, since she trusted him most.
But knowing who the hero really is, she understands there must be a good reason why he went out of his way to help this young lady, so she definitely should try her hardest to get along with her in the future, as they will be sharing the same space moving forward.
As for the other girl, she was, of all things, a maidservant. But she wasn’t acting like one, and talking quite freely with her master.
Though a maid, she’s just as beautiful as the other one. Though not as beautiful as her own daughter Lara, whom the honored one dotes so lovingly on.
She soon learns of the young manservant’s actual background as a former noble of the fallen high house of Seabloom. A real blast from the past.
Still, she was only a maidservant now.
One whose real family name was still an object of scorn around the capital.
That she would be so free around the honored one tells Liora that she must be quite important to him as well.
So Liora understood that she had to throw out all her rigid perception of status out the door if she intended to get along with everyone, just like her daughter was currently doing.
After the honored one was done with the introductions, he retreated into the underground space they had arrived in, leaving just them ladies to get familiar with themselves up top and freshen up.
Liora was happy to see that both girls were quite lovely, especially the daughter of the fallen Seablooms. They showed them where everything was and told them some simple dos and don’ts when it comes to the honored one.
After freshening up and changing into appropriate wear for the night, they enjoyed a lovely dinner and had a long chat that lasted a while.
But seeing as the hero was not returning back up yet, they all soon got into the mattresses to call it a night.
Florielle got into Myrra’s mattress, and they both shared hers, while Kaelara and her mother got into Zorat’s mattress and slept in his. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
That Florielle, instead of returning to her maidservant’s quarters, would sleep over, shed more light on her position here, to the observant LIora.
With less than an hour having passed since they all decided to turn in for the night, Liora, who wasn’t a deep sleeper, suddenly felt some movements coming from the other side of her mattress.
She opened her eyes to see her very own daughter quietly creep out of the mattress and went to open the hatch in the center of the cabin. Then she slowly went down the stairs as the hatch closed behind her.
Liora, seeing the current state of her daughter, could already guess what she might be up to, waking up this late into the night, and quietly descending down the underground space where the hero was currently alone.
After finding out the true identity of the hero.....
rather than being angry at her daughter, Liora was really, really proud.
And as she watched her disappear into that hatch, a different emotion was starting to stir up within her.
Liora was jealous.
Victor Malverin had been a marriage of convenience.
A union formed between two families of great influence for their mutual benefits.
They did grow to become accustomed to one another, but it was a loveless union that has never been anything different.
Even their sex life was dull and drab, and barely happened even once in a whole year, lasting only a couple of seconds.
But Victor was a competent man in other regards.
He was very ambitious and quite surgical with his machinations. All of which, as his wife, she had some fore knowledge about, even if she wasn’t directly involved.
But that’s it. And the man’s ambitions had nearly led to the execution of both her and her daughter.... until that person came to their rescue.
Liora had tried hard to deny what she had felt the moment he had come for them.
Her heart felt alive again after so many years of dullness, making her feel like she was back to her days as a young maiden.
Even though she appeared mature on the surface, inside in her mind and soul, she felt no different than any other young lady prone to infatuation and longing.
She knew, and her body knew that she craved that person badly.
But she felt really bad.
It felt wrong since this was the person her daughter shares some kind of relationship with.
So she had planned to talk to her daughter about all this come moring, only for her to see her Lara making such a bold move in the middle of the night.
Liora tussled and turned several times on the mattress, unable to go back to sleep as her thoughts ran wild.
Thoughts of how it must feel like to be with the hero... what her daughter would currently be experiencing... recollections of what she had written in her diary about how world-altering an experience with him was.
Liora wondered if her daughter was currently enjoying all that right now.
All this ran through her mind as her jealousy battled with her love for her daughter.
Quietly, Liora left her mattress as she went and placed her ears to the hatch, hoping to hear something, anything at all.....
But there was no sound. She wasn’t sure how the hero had made the place. But it was completely soundproof.
Liora quietly ran back guiltily, and entered the mattress again, embarrassed and strangely heated as she muttered, covering her face.... "I am such a bad mother."
