Chapter 144: It Was Wonderful.

Azaria filled Zorat in on some eye-opening information regarding the upcoming hero’s summit event, and all that she knew about the roles they are meant to play in this world.

After giving Zorat all the information that was pertinent to him, they both had a proper wash in one of the rivers spaced sparsely around the Algove forest, washing out the accumulated dirt from their fights and tussles in the forest.

Azaria changed into something more appropriate, and after several minutes of trying to convince her, she finally agreed not to join their hero’s party on the journey.

She had planned to simply show up and say it was a coincidental meeting as she was hunting for Victor the fugitive.....

But Azaria wasn’t accounted as a variable when Zorat had planned for this journey, and more importantly....the less complicated the situations, the better.

So she decides to report back to the kingdom of Ursula and remain in wait for Zorat’s return.

It was an easy decision for Azaria, after all, her duties were concluded with the demons, and she sought a fresh start.....

Even if it was not the fresh start she had imagined, with her realizing how she truly felt, it was actually a better one in retrospect.

With that, Azaria kissed Zorat deeply for a lengthy duration... before vanishing from the forest in the direction of the Ursula Kingdom.

Their knight commander was coming with news Zorat had specifically told her to give to them.

Azaria didn’t share many details about herself since she assumed Zorat already knew, as he knew her full name. But that didn’t matter much for now; he could get it another time.

Azaria would be really useful to Zorat with her strength in the paragon realm and her being so smart.

There was, of course, a possibility of betrayal, but that possibility was also quite unlikely and illogical....

Zorat had more dirt on her than she had on him. No one would even believe her if she came out and said the hero of Item Box was secretly so powerful, since that’s all she knew about Zorat at this point. All else would be speculation without proof.

Having someone strong and someone who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty on his roster was always beneficial, and with the knight commander now conditioned, slowly, Zorat’s influence was spreading through the imperial palace like an infestation.

Stopping Azaria from killing Andrew needs no explanation.

If Andrew dies, his divine skill would leave his body, awaiting the next summoning of the blade hero, which will highly delay Zorat’s plans since it’s been nearly a month since his arrival in this world....

And someone way more powerful than the real him was on their way over to mess up all he had going for him, and there would be nothing he could do about it...since Zorat had tried.....

Several times in fact, and he had come to the eye-opening realization that no matter how much boost he gets to his strength.....

As long as he remains an authority being, he wouldn’t be able to actually challenge a dimensional level being.

Hehehe..... Not for long.

Zorat smiled as he changed into a fresh pair of pants from his spatial repertoire before casting his domain veil spell again and vanishing in the direction of the heroes’ campsite.

He passed through the attentive guards securing the perimeters for the night, and as he approached his own tent, he could already feel a presence inside, a presence he instantly recognized.

Releasing his spell right as he entered the tent, Zorat saw that Ava was already seated on his futon in her underwear and awaiting his arrival.

As soon as Zorat entered, she raised her head with a face full of worry as she jumped into Zorat’s arms.

"Where in the world have you been.... I was so worried!" she mumbled in a trembling voice, hugging Zorat tighter with her soft breast pressed flush against him through her light nightwear fabric.

The sweet scent of jasmine caressed Zorat’s senses as he hugged her back, folding her in as he comforted her.

That Ava was able to appear in his tent with not one of the guards on standby noticing a thing wasn’t surprising one bit.

Her stealth skills were growing at ridiculous speeds, and except for one, who was at the paragon realm or had a special sensing artifact, they wouldn’t see her coming at all.

Well, that’s only a matter of time, actually, and soon, even those at the paragon realm or those with the necessary artifacts won’t be able to see her coming until she strikes.

There was also her innate special skill, which, after Zorat had used his abyssal gaze on the other heroes, had confirmed that only she possessed an innate special skill that followed her arrival in this world amongst the heroes.

Interesting girl....

Zorat thought as he slowly caressed her head in soft, soothing motion before gently peeling her off him and leading her to sit on the futon. He realized she must have been in here for a while. How long, though, he wasn’t sure.

"You must have been waiting for a while... I just went out for some fresh air, that’s all, you don’t need to worry."

"You know you should have told me you were coming over, right?. Then I would have made some preparations, but you just showed up..... Unannounced." Zorat said, hinting meaningfully at the last part....

And he was satisfied to see Ava nod with a guilty expression on her face.

At least she’s starting to understand how weird the act of appearing in someone’s room without notice was. Which is saying a lot considering her nature. But Zorat has some experience.

Ava said nothing for a while and simply twiddled with her fingers, before suddenly saying with a little nervous smile.....

"We....we haven’t had a chance to talk... after...." She didn’t finish her statement as a crimson blush spread across her face, with her bringing her face back down in embarrassment at what she was hinting at.

Zorat grinned, seeing this as he said softly in response..."I know... what would you like to talk about, Ava?"

"Um.... I don’t know.... like ..." Ava was blushing harder being put on the spot like that.

As she spoke, she slowly brought her reddened face and beautiful ocean blue eyes to look straight at Zorat before adding nervously.... "Like... how was...it.... for you?"

"I mean...did you like it..... With me ?" she added with nervous vulnerability as she searched Zorat’s gaze.

Zorat realized this must have been on her mind for a while, as when he left her, she was still coming down from the thrill of her cathartic release and was still very out of it.

Zorat slowly brought his hand to hold Ava up by the chin as he whispered to her, smiling....

"It was wonderful, Ava."
