Ysera had experienced quite the stressful evening.

The red-haired human girl had arrived just like the strong human had explained.....

And Ysera was simply going to bite off just one or two of her limbs and call it a day.

That would make the acting seem more real.

But this human girl was like a human-shaped rat....

running around so fast, and not allowing Ysera to do as she planned... It wasn’t like she was going to kill her or anything like that. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

And why was she so fast..... Ysera wondered until she caught sight of the artifact around her neck, which shed some light on how someone who was clearly only at the master realm would be able to escape her so many times.

Still, she couldn’t run forever, and it’s just a matter of time before Ysera gets her maws on her.

Ysera couldn’t bear to see the look of disappointment that would be on the strong human’s face when he finds out that she couldn’t handle someone who was only at the master realm....

It would be too embarrassing, and might even make the strong human change his mind about her, which would not be good. So, she needs to do a good job.

But the agile human girl won’t just stay in one place and let Ysera bite her limb off... and was continuously running around the cave, screaming.

That’s when Ysera noticed, almost too late were the red-haired human girl was currently running off to....

A place she had overlooked since she thought she would have the human girl under control as soon as she appeared.

Luckily, Ysera noticed in time, and using her skill, she destroyed the entrance of her own cave, sealing herself and the red-haired human girl inside.

After the damage was done, did Ysera begin to ponder just how she would be able to go in and out of her cave abode going forward.... And how the strong human would even gain entrance...

But she chose to push back those unimportant thoughts... what mattered most was doing the best job she could and making a good impression.

Ysera then saw the aura of this red-haired girl suddenly transform into something that gave even her a little concern, but when she saw her channeling fire, she disregarded that concern entirely.

As a descendant of the water serpent tribe, Ysera takes far less damage from fire, and considering she was also so much stronger than the girl, she doubted her simple flames would have any effect on her.

Ysera was wrong.

Those were not simple flames at all. And in her arrogance, she had failed to take proper safety measures earlier to protect herself from it.

It was like the flames were alive and were burning straight into her skin, ignoring almost all of her defenses.

It wasn’t until she channeled more than half her mana reserve to put up a water barrier, something she should have done from the beginning, in hindsight.... that the flames stopped being able to reach her.

Still, the damage was already done, and Ysera had suffered some bruises from this unassuming-looking red-haired human girl.

She thought she had learnt her lesson when she had dared to challenge that strong human; now she was starting to wonder if all humans were now this monstrous and unpredictable.

But it appears the lady had no further tricks up her sleeve, and after Ysera had slapped her around a few times over the necessary amount since she was so pissed she had taken some damage.... And also for the petty reason that the red-haired girl had actually referred to her as ugly earlier....

The human girl finally slumped to the floor and was no longer moving.

But Ysera was sure she was still alive since she was still breathing.

Happy that her job has been completed, and excited for the compliment that the strong human would give her....

Ysera waited patiently in the cave, with her thoughts occasionally drifting to how exactly he would reach them, now that she had sealed off the entire space with her own hands.

Right on cue....

Ysera felt the entire cave starting to shake and vibrate vigorously before the small mountain of rock and debris that was blocking the entrance burst out in a massive explosion, sending rocks and dust flying all through the space.

And through that reestablished opening, she saw the strong human walk through the clearing dust, with his hands folded behind his back. But this time, he had a shirt and shoes on.

Happy at the strong human’s arrival, Ysera attempted to run over, in order to lie flat and show her belly to the strong human in greeting, as is customary.

But she was all of a sudden experiencing deja vu for some reason.

A similar situation to what had happened to her the first time she had met the strong human was currently repeating itself...

With Ysera finding herself now airborne as a result of a massive hand made of sand slapping her across the face and throwing her through the cave, slamming thunderously against the cave walls.

BOOM!

"Sssssss....Stron...." Ysera was seeing stars all around as she attempted to call upon the strong human....

Maybe he did not recognize her... after all, there are a few other water serpents in the world of Arleria..... Even if she was the only one in the forest of no return.

But before the words could leave her mouth.... Ten other giant hands made of rocks this time, had materialized mid-air and began to beat the crap out of her.....

"Ssssss...!!!"

Ysera was alarmed... why was the strong human beating her up when she had done such a good job?

And these hits were different from the first time the strong human had beaten her up.... All her bones were almost entirely broken.

She was bleeding everywhere, and even as she brought up her water barrier, it was torn through instantly.

"Sssss.... It’s me str....." She attempted to plead her case to the strong human who was now at the corner of the cave, with the red-haired human girl in his arms.....

But another strike to her head knocked the words straight out of her, causing her to begin to go unconscious, and as she did, she heard the strong human speak for the first time since he had come in....and his tone sounded angry.

"You vile serpent!.... How dare you hurt my friend this way?!"

’Uh?..... Ssssss....what Ysera do wrong?’ was the last painful thought Ysera had before passing out from the inhumane pummeling.
