Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 602: Pretty Lights And Sharp Sticks
The arena lights slowly brightened as Dahlia and Veyrion stepped onto the battlefield.
The crowd immediately became noisy.
Unlike Dahlia’s first opponent, Veyrion entered calmly and elegantly, his metallic silver skin shining beneath the arena lights.
Blue-white energy patterns flowed across his arms and neck like living circuits, giving him a refined and almost futuristic presence.
Dahlia walked in from the opposite side with both hands behind her head, looking completely relaxed.
The giant screen above them flashed.
[Second Round]
[Dahlia Draconia]
[Representative: God Gym]
[VS]
[Veyrion Calthis]
[Silverian Race]
Veyrion stared at Dahlia with a cold smile. "So you really made it here."
Dahlia grinned. "Obviously."
Veyrion slowly raised one hand, and faint blue-white energy gathered around his palm.
"Since you are participating in the Newbie Tournament, that means you only recently entered cosmic civilization."
His eyes narrowed slightly. "In other words, you still don’t understand how vast this universe truly is."
Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Are you giving me a lesson?"
Veyrion’s smile became more arrogant. "Consider it mercy."
The energy patterns across his body glowed brighter. "I will show you the difference between some unknown brute from a mysterious little force..."
His aura suddenly spread outward in sharp waves. "...and a noble genius of the Silverian Race."
The moment he spoke, the crowd reacted.
"Silverian Race!"
"That guy is from a top fifty race!"
"His energy control must be insane!"
Inside the private room, Slifera’s expression turned colder. "That arrogant bastard..."
Garion only grinned.
Back in the arena, Dahlia slowly lowered her hands from behind her head.
Then she smiled. "Good."
Veyrion frowned slightly. "Good?"
Dahlia cracked her neck lazily. "Yeah."
Her grin widened. "I was worried you’d be boring."
The announcer’s voice echoed loudly across the arena. "Begin!"
Veyrion’s blue-white energy exploded instantly. "Then watch carefully."
His body blurred forward as dozens of glowing energy threads spread from his fingers. "I’ll show you what real noble power looks like."
---
Veyrion’s body blurred forward as dozens of glowing energy threads spread from his fingers.
The threads moved like living wires, cutting through the air with terrifying precision.
[Silver Thread Bind]
In an instant, the blue-white threads wrapped around Dahlia’s arms, legs, waist, and neck.
Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Veyrion smiled coldly. "The Silverian Race does not fight like brainless brutes."
His fingers moved slightly.
The energy threads tightened.
CRACK!
The arena floor beneath Dahlia’s feet cracked as the threads tried to force her body down.
The crowd immediately became excited.
"He caught her!"
"That’s Silverian energy control!"
"Those threads can cut through armor if he tightens them enough!"
But Dahlia only looked down at the glowing threads wrapped around her body.
Then she grinned.
"Not bad."
Veyrion’s smile stiffened slightly.
Before he could react, Dahlia flexed her arms.
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!
Several energy threads shattered instantly.
Veyrion’s eyes narrowed. "So your body is tough."
His glowing patterns pulsed brighter. "Then let’s see how long you can endure."
He raised both hands, and several sharp energy rings appeared around him.
[Silver Arc Blades]
The rings spun violently before shooting toward Dahlia from every direction.
SHING! SHING! SHING!
The attacks struck her shoulders, arms, stomach, and back in rapid succession.
Dahlia didn’t dodge.
She stood there and let the blades slam into her body.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Small cuts appeared across her skin, and a thin line of blood ran down her arm.
The crowd gasped.
"She’s hurt!"
"Veyrion’s attacks actually pierced her defense!"
Veyrion smiled again. "Now do you understand?"
Dahlia glanced at the blood on her arm.
Then she slowly licked the corner of her lip and grinned. "A bit."
Veyrion’s expression darkened.
He immediately stepped back and pressed both palms together.
Blue-white energy gathered above him, forming a shining spear of compressed light.
[Silverian Piercing Lance]
The spear shot forward like lightning.
BOOOOOOM!!!
It struck Dahlia directly in the chest and pushed her back several steps for the first time.
Dust exploded around her body.
Inside the private viewing room, Slifera frowned slightly. "That’s one of the Silverian Race’s stronger focused attacks."
Elisa nodded. "It concentrates energy into one piercing point."
Garion only watched silently.
When the dust cleared, Dahlia was still standing.
Her top had been slightly torn, and a shallow wound appeared near her collarbone.
But her grin had only become wider.
Veyrion stared at her in disbelief. "You’re still standing?"
Dahlia rolled her shoulder and laughed. "Hahaha..."
Her dragon aura slowly began to rise. "Good. At least you can scratch me."
Veyrion’s expression darkened instantly.
Dahlia looked down at the shallow wound near her collarbone, then glanced back at him with a teasing grin. "But..."
She tilted her head slightly. "Is that all you got?"
The entire arena went quiet for a brief moment.
Then the crowd erupted.
"She’s mocking him again!"
"She got injured and still acts like that?!"
"Is her body made of monster bones or what?"
Veyrion’s blue-white energy patterns flashed sharply.
His pride had clearly been stabbed. "You really are an uncultured brute."
Dahlia smiled wider. "And you’re really good at talking."
Veyrion’s eyes turned cold. "Fine."
He slowly raised one hand, and a silver storage ring on his finger flashed.
The next moment, a long silver spear appeared in his hand.
The weapon looked elegant and sharp, covered in tiny glowing lines that connected perfectly with the energy patterns across his body.
Dahlia raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Oh? You use weapons too?"
Veyrion spun the spear once, and blue-white energy instantly flowed through the entire weapon. "Of course."
His tone became colder and more arrogant. "There is no rule saying weapons are forbidden."
Dahlia looked at the spear for a moment before grinning. "Good."
She cracked her neck lightly. "I was starting to worry you only had pretty lights."
Veyrion’s expression twisted slightly.
Without another word, he stepped forward.
The silver spear suddenly split into several glowing afterimages, each one aiming at Dahlia’s vital points.
[Silver Flow Spear Art]
SHING! SHING! SHING!
The attacks came fast and clean, far sharper than his earlier energy blades.
Dahlia blocked the first strike with her forearm, but the spear still left a thin cut across her skin.
The second strike stabbed toward her stomach.
She twisted slightly, letting it graze her side.
The third strike suddenly curved unnaturally, slashing toward her neck.
Dahlia’s eyes sharpened.
CLANG!
She caught the spear shaft with one hand and a smirk appeared on her face.
