Chapter 1711: Chapter 1636: Twelve Star Ancestral Spirits

"Why don’t you go in and see for yourself?" Divine King’s Envoy Drofusky left a remark and vanished into the depths of the Small World.

"The 8th cell?" Huang Yi murmured, entering Heroes’ Prison once again.

Ten minutes later, he entered the 8th cell.

It was a monotonous desert, colored only in black and white, or a blend of the two in gray, lifeless, with black mist filling the air, eerie and terrifying.

Ahead stood an old signpost, pointing straight ahead, with a few blurry words carved on it—Nether Desert.

"Could it be related to criminals from the Underworld?" Huang Yi abruptly pondered, since the Underworld, also known as the Nether Realm, matched the name on this sign, and the black-and-white-gray scene reflected the style of the Underworld.

Huang Yi flapped the Sun-Chasing Dragon’s Wings, quickly flying towards the Nether Desert.

The sea of sand below raced backward, and ahead stretched endless dunes, as far as the eye could see, with no clue where the criminals here might be hiding.

"Boom!" Suddenly, an earthquake struck the sea of sand below, sending countless grains flying, as a massive sandstorm erupted across the heavens.

The ground appeared to draw near suddenly, as the quaking dunes below expanded rapidly in size, with details growing clearer, as if Huang Yi was plunging rapidly towards the earth, and about to impact.

But Huang Yi hadn’t altered his altitude!

In a flash, he realized—

The land had risen up!

A tremendous pressure enveloped Huang Yi, fiercer than the weight of Mount Tai crushing eggs, threatening to crush him dead.

Soon, Huang Yi made contact with the ground, an overwhelming power from below struck, allowing him to clearly sense an aura of heaven and earth, which astonished even someone of his strength.

Fortunately, he was the Prison Warden, although he could sense the immense strength, he wouldn’t be harmed by it.

Huang Yi flapped the Sun-Chasing Dragon’s Wings, swiftly soaring to greater heights, and upon reaching a certain altitude, glanced downward to reveal the truth.

It turned out, the so-called land was an unimaginably gigantic scorpion that had ascended into the sky, thus appearing as if the earth had risen.

"Who are you?" Huang Yi inquired, his voice booming like thunder throughout the desert.

"Death God! You better kill me, or if I get out, I will surely kill all your subordinates!" the giant scorpion below rasped in response, and just hearing its voice conveyed a chilling malice, as if once it escaped, it’d be like a scorpion lying in the sands, ready to strike with fatal precision.

"I’m not the Death God; the Death God is dead," Huang Yi replied solemnly.

"Dead?" The scorpion paused, shaken from its immense hatred, but soon barked again, "Yet you still carry the Death God’s aura; I won’t mistake it. You can deceive everyone else, but not me. You are the Death God, no matter what disguise you wear or how deep you hide, I can sense it!"

"I’m the reincarnation of the Death God, considered the New Generation of Grim Reaper. I have no grudge with you," Huang Yi revealed his identity. "I am Heaven Sent; call me God of Slaughter. If you’re willing to become a Guardian of The Second World and sign the Guardian Contract, I can grant your freedom immediately."

"Not the Death God himself?" Suddenly, the earth shrunk rapidly, the giant scorpion shrinking to the size comparable to Huang Yi, and flew into the sky, hovering in front of him.

It circled Huang Yi, carefully sensing, as if distinguishing his identity.

Its antennae quivered slightly, the large pincers opening and closing, and its stinger glistened with cold light.

"You’re the reincarnation of the Death God? However..." the scorpion hesitated, retreating several steps, raising its pincers defensively, "However, it seems you harbor a power that exceeds demigods!"

Huang Yi’s heart raced!

This scorpion seemed to have detected his Nefalem identity.

Nefalem’s Bloodline is a taboo in the Three Realms; when fully grown, it will surpass all demigods. If exposed, Huang Yi would face a joint hunt by The Gods and Hordes of Demons, leading to a life of unrest.

"Are you willing to sign the contract?" Huang Yi bypassed the topic, asking again.

"Dream on! I will never serve the Death God’s people; leave now! Don’t let me see you again!" the scorpion declared, burrowing back into the desert, vanishing completely.

Huang Yi frowned. This scorpion indeed possessed formidable strength, but its hatred towards the Death God ran too deep, and seeking a contract seemed impossible.

Moreover, its Perception Ability surpassed anyone Huang Yi had ever met, even detecting his Nefalem identity. If released, it might leak this information.

Huang Yi decided to abandon his efforts, but determined to uncover the scorpion’s identity.

He swiftly departed Heroes’ Prison, returning to the Colored Glaze Mini-World to find Divine King’s Envoy Drofusky.

"Who is the scorpion in the 8th cell?" Huang Yi asked bluntly.

Divine King’s Envoy Drofusky assessed Huang Yi, faintly smiling, "Seems you’ve been caught in its ire. I didn’t expect it to hold onto its grudge for so long; Scorpio indeed holds grudges as legends say!"

"Scorpio?!" Huang Yi paused, suddenly recalling something, "Sagittarius... Scorpio... Could it be, this is also a Creator Ancestral Spirit?"

Divine King’s Envoy Drofusky nodded, "Indeed! Like Sagittarius, it is one of the Twelve Star Ancestral Spirits."

"What are Star Ancestral Spirits?" Huang Yi asked curiously.

"Star Ancestral Spirits were born in the Land of Origin; there are twelve, corresponding to the Twelve Zodiacs, scattered throughout various universes. When His Majesty God King Xiyuan created, he attracted three Star Ancestral Spirits: one was Sagittarius, located in the Mortal Realm; one was Taurus, located in the Heaven Realm; the last one is the Scorpio in the 8th cell of Heroes’ Prison, which is Underworld Guardian."

Divine King’s Envoy Drofusky paused and continued, "In the past, the Death God sought to seize the Underworld King’s power, capturing several notable figures from the Underworld, of which Scorpio was among. But Scorpio isn’t the most powerful among those Underworld criminals; the most powerful is the one in the 3rd cell. When I served under God King Xiyuan, I was familiar with the major figures of the Three Realms. Upon entering prison, I sensed something familiar at the entrance of the 3rd cell, but I’m unsure who it might be; you’ll need to investigate yourself."

Huang Yi thoughtfully nodded, recalling the Envoy of the Underworld, Yi Mingfeng, whom was captured for the same reason.
