How to Bring Common Sense to Xianxia World
Chapter 218: Myth Buster Cultivator Version-End
Yan Rongjun smiled as she looked around and saw the surrounding bandits trembling so hard that they no longer had the strength to stand.
"Change your damn pants and follow me!" Yan Rongjun commanded, but Wang Hu was still too shaken to move.
Yan Rongjun began to get annoyed as she looked at the trembling bandits and their leader.
"I said, change the damn pants and follow me!!" This time, her shout was mixed with powerful spiritual qi pressure, just enough to yank these people out of their frozen fear without killing them.
BOOM!
The force of her pressure blasted the bandits backward into the walls, crashing through them, while the roof above was blown apart. Decorations and weapons shattered into pieces. Even the iron parts of swords and halberds exploded apart, and black iron halberds forged from thousand-year iron were torn to pieces.
Wang Hu was shocked to his core by the scene.
Even though he was a bandit, he was experienced enough to distinguish between ordinary experts and heaven-shattering experts.
And the woman before him was clearly the latter. The fine control required to unleash such powerful spiritual qi, enough to tear black iron apart while leaving them with only bruises, was something none of the experts he knew could achieve.
"Yes! Yes, Ma’am!" Wang Hu replied, nearly screaming his throat raw.
He quickly rushed toward the trunk where he kept his clothes, but after searching for a bit, he could not find a usable pair of pants. He had just cleared out all of his old clothes a day ago.
Wang Hu glanced at the female expert and felt dread creeping into his heart. Without hesitation, he rushed toward the nearest lackey.
"Boss! Boss! What are you trying to do!? Boss! No! Why my pants!? I don’t like men, Boss! Arrrghhh! My pants!"
After the scream of the lackey, who sounded like his innocence had just been destroyed, Wang Hu returned and walked toward Yan Rongjun.
"You ready? Follow me!" With a huff, Yan Rongjun turned around and jumped into the crack in space she had torn open.
Wang Hu quickly followed behind her.
After a brief moment of darkness, Wang Hu found himself blinded by bright light from the environment, which had absolutely no shade. He had arrived at the experimental site where Wei Chen and the others were waiting.
Wang Hu looked around and saw the female expert standing behind Wei Chen. The two genius artificers were also looking at Wang Hu politely, almost like coworkers greeting one another.
"Ah! It seems we have our lucky guy!" Wei Chen said as he walked up to Wang Hu.
"Tell me, are you Mr. Wang Hu?" he asked.
"Ah! Yes, sir... I’m Wang Hu," Wang Hu nodded, trying to be as polite as possible, as he knew he could not fight against any of these people.
"Okay! Wang Hu, what’s your cultivation realm?" Wei Chen asked.
"It’s the Foundation Establishment Realm... sir. Peak stage," Wang Hu added the words "Peak Stage" as if saying them would make him seem stronger and less embarrassing.
"Oh! That’s fine. I asked for someone below the Nascent Soul Realm anyway. No need to be shy!" Wei Chen said as he patted Wang Hu’s shoulder.
Outside the screen, people looked at Wang Hu and his fish-out-of-water expression. Some chuckled or laughed at his awkward demeanor, while others simply looked forward to the experiment.
Especially the artificers. They wanted to witness the collapse themselves in hopes of gaining inspiration for their own research.
Wei Chen brought Wang Hu inside the secret realm toward the core pillar of the 1-kilometer-sized secret realm. Lian Cheng had already installed devices to measure the realm’s integrity and the power behind each strike.
"Okay, we’re ready, Mr. Wei." Lian Cheng nodded while giving a thumbs-up.
With that cue, Wei Chen turned toward Wang Hu.
"Mr. Wang, you only need to use your full power to strike this spot. It is the weakest point of the core array," he said while pointing at the red circle marked on the core pillar.
"Leave it to me, Mr. Wei!" Wang Hu nodded.
He had been dragged here while still confused, but he still wanted to show off a little.
He knew who Wei Chen was. He was one of the fans who had robbed U-Phones from others specifically so he could watch his idol’s broadcasts and enjoy all kinds of content every single day.
He knew how powerful the man named Wei Chen was, and he hoped that with a good performance, he might gain some favor from this powerful figure.
Maybe even become his disciple!
With that thought in mind, Wang Hu’s face grew solemn. He prepared his strike, channeling all of his strength. Then, with a flash of determination, he attacked.
BAM!
The sound was impressive, and the strike was perfect, but he did not feel like the core pillar had received much damage.
Wei Chen, who was watching the devices measuring the damage and the realm’s integrity, recorded the result before asking Lian Cheng,
"How is it?"
Lian Cheng shook his head. "Not good. He took about two and a half minutes to gather his strength. At this rate, this realm will collapse in around two and a half to two point six years."
"It’s that long?" Wei Chen asked.
Lian Cheng nodded. "This is already considered fast, because we built this secret realm purely for experimentation, so I didn’t invest much into the materials. It doesn’t even have a self-repair function. Otherwise, he could forget about destroying the realm within his lifetime."
Wei Chen nodded. "It seems we need to raise the stakes a little." He then walked toward Wang Hu.
"Mr. Wang, according to the readings, you would be able to destroy this realm in about two and a half years."
"What!?" Wang Hu was stunned. He knew it would take a long time, but he never imagined it would take that long!
"So, I decided to raise the stakes a little." Wei Chen then took out a pill bottle.
"This is a Core Formation Foundation Pill. It allows anyone at the peak of Foundation Establishment Realm to advance into the early stage of Core Formation Realm." Wei Chen handed the pill bottle to Wang Hu.
"Think of it as a gift."
Wang Hu accepted the bottle with both hands. He could hardly believe it. He finally had a chance to break through into the Core Formation Realm!
"Thank... thank you, Sir Wei!" Wang Hu thanked him before immediately dropping to his knees to kowtow.
"Oh, woah! Woah! Woah! No need to kowtow. Think of it as compensation for joining our broadcast! Now, could you please take the pill and break through?"
"Yes! Mr. Wei!" Wang Hu immediately accepted and swallowed the pill without hesitation. He then sat down on the ground and began concentrating.
The pill’s efficacy immediately began doing its job, increasing Wang Hu’s cultivation in mere minutes by more than what he had achieved through ten years of cultivation.
Crack... BOOM!
With a cracking sound, Wang Hu broke through into the Core Formation Realm. He felt as though his current strength could fight a hundred versions of his former self!
"Hahahaha! Prepare to be broken, you damn core pillar!" Wang Hu laughed loudly. Greater strength naturally brought greater confidence.
Wang Hu gathered his strength once again, this time much faster than before. Then he struck!
BOOOM!!
The strike landed directly on the weakest point of the core, but alas... even though the damage was far greater than before, it was still not enough to cause substantial damage.
"How is it, Mr. Artificer!?" Wang Hu asked gleefully. He thought he had performed pretty well with that strike.
Lian Cheng glanced at the readings on the measuring artifact.
"Hmm... better. I’d say around two days. At this pace, with one strike every two minutes and without lowering the power, the realm would be destroyed in two days."
Hearing this, Wei Chen nodded with a smile.
"So in this case, Mr. Lian, we can conclude that the theory about a weaker cultivator sneaking in to destroy the core realm out of revenge is completely busted!"
Lian Cheng nodded along with Jobs Ganglie.
"That’s right. It was never possible in the first place. A realm like this would definitely have alarm mechanisms to warn its inhabitants if the core were damaged. There is no way someone could sneak in and destroy it without the knowledge of the realm’s inhabitants. Not to mention that many powerful secret realms possess self-repair features," Lian Cheng explained then continued.
"In case anyone doesn’t know, we are talking about a 10,000-kilometer-type realm. The kind created by Pseudo Immortals. The strike threshold set by a Pseudo Immortal against a realm they created themselves is ten strikes, while a Great Ascension Realm cultivator would need around one full day of continuous full-power attacks against the core realm, which is still practically impossible to achieve."
"Because in this lower realm, those Great Ascension Realm experts are all trying their best to avoid the laws of Heaven and Earth forcing them to ascend, they would not be able to exert themselves too much."
