Perhaps he’d have to wait until he completed his fifth, sixth, or even seventh evolution to completely expel the foul stench from his body.

Su Ze was quite philosophical about it. After all, you couldn’t smell the stench on him at all. You’d probably have to cut him open to catch a whiff of it on his internal organs.

’I should go see if Mr. Ya’s evolution was successful...’

Su Ze pushed the door open and walked out of his room, only to see Mr. Ya squatting right in front of his door.

"Boss!" Mr. Ya said excitedly. "You’re finally out."

One look at Mr. Ya told Su Ze that he had also evolved successfully. He smiled and said, "Come on, let’s go get a bath."

He was covered in sticky, foul-smelling sweat and was eager to wash it off.

Mr. Ya was practically buzzing with excitement. He said, "When we go back, we’re definitely going to give all of Dongli a huge shock!"

Dongli previously had only five Overlords in total. To suddenly gain two more would be a massive, pleasant surprise for the entire country.

"I’m actually more curious what the expressions on the faces of the people in Luofan Country will be when they find out you’ve become an Overlord," Su Ze said with a mischievous grin.

Back when Mr. Ya was in Luofan, he was unwelcome everywhere he went.

He was born in the slums and struggled to get into Luofan Academy, only to be denied a graduation certificate. To make matters worse, because he offended Moni, he was suppressed at every turn, which ultimately led to his family being ruined and killed.

He pleaded with every official department he could reach and sought out every "big shot" he could find, just seeking a bit of justice, but justice was nowhere to be found.

You could say he was forced out of Luofan.

Now that he was a Saint-level expert, it was a resounding slap in the face to the upper echelons of Luofan Country.

A genius, suppressed, ostracized, and humiliated at every turn in Luofan, was forced to leave his homeland. Yet, he shone brilliantly in a foreign country, becoming a Saint-level expert and another nation’s Guardian God in less than a year.

Meanwhile, Firoz from the family of Moni, the very woman who suppressed him—the one with the best hope of becoming a Saint-level expert—had died in the Divine Dice.

The higher-ups in Luofan Country were probably regretting it so much they could taste bile.

Especially since Luofan Country had just lost two Guardian Gods recently. Their strength had been greatly diminished, and it was a time when they desperately needed to replenish their ranks...

Su Ze even suspected that the power-fantasy plot he had casually made up when he first tricked Mr. Ya into coming to Dongli might actually come true.

"Just Became Saint-Level, My Countrymen Beg Me to Return."

However, Su Ze trusted Mr. Ya. He was completely disillusioned with Luofan Country and would never go back.

...

After his bath, Su Ze changed into a set of clean clothes and looked at himself in the mirror. After becoming a Saint-level expert, his aura had changed slightly. He was like a steep, perilous peak—imposing, yet possessing a sharp edge.

"Let’s go. It’s time to head back!" Su Ze called to Mr. Ya.

After more than a month in seclusion, it was time to get some sun and breathe some fresh air.

He pushed open the main door of the ship. A gentle breeze brushed his face, carrying the scent of flowers.

Su Ze and Mr. Ya slowly flew down to the ground and turned to look at the magnificent Mother Tree behind them.

"Not bad," the Mother Tree’s appreciative voice sounded in Su Ze’s mind.

"Mother Tree, I’ll be leaving for a while. I’ll come back to see you later," Su Ze said. "By the way, if I’m going to deal with the Shepherd King, do you have any good advice?"

"The Shepherd King?"

"He’s the guy who took a drop of Evolutionary Liquid from you last time."

"So it was him..." The Mother Tree fell silent for a moment before speaking again. "He is very dangerous. My advice is not to provoke him. Don’t let my investment go to waste."

"You have that little faith in me?" Su Ze chuckled, then said helplessly, "I have no choice. I have to go."

The Mother Tree paused for a few more seconds before saying, "Then be well-prepared. If you need my help with anything, don’t hesitate to ask."

"Don’t worry, I won’t hesitate."

After bidding farewell to the Mother Tree, Su Ze and Mr. Ya sped toward Dongli.

Su Ze could clearly feel that his own flight speed had increased by a large margin. But Mr. Ya’s improvement was even more dramatic. His flight speed had already surpassed that of any Saint-level Overlord Su Ze had ever seen.

"Dongli, welcome your new Guardian God!"
