The Invisibility Mushroom was a Tier Four Mutated Fungus. Although it was the same tier as Su Ze, it was incredibly fast, and Su Ze couldn’t catch it at all.

After all, it was a Mutated Fungus that had mastered a "Void" skill. It must be like Mr. Ya, specializing in escape.

Catching the Invisibility Mushroom was up to Mr. Ya.

Mr. Ya reacted instantly. With a WHOOSH, he shot out, blocking the Invisibility Mushroom’s path in a matter of breaths.

Guided by Su Ze’s electric currents, he could easily pinpoint the Invisibility Mushroom’s location.

Speaking of which, the Invisibility Mushroom’s defense was as formidable as Mr. Ya’s. It had been slashed by Su Ze’s sword and then continuously zapped by his currents, yet it acted as if nothing had happened.

However, it also shared Mr. Ya’s weakness: a one-dimensional attack pattern. When it had ambushed Su Ze just now, it had only known how to jab crudely.

CLANG!

Mr. Ya drew his iron shovel and brought it down relentlessly on the Invisibility Mushroom, raining blows that sent sparks flying and forcefully knocking it out of the air to the ground.

Mr. Ya landed, about to use the sharp edge of his shovel to hack the Invisibility Mushroom to pieces, when the surrounding Tier Four Mutated Fungi suddenly attacked him in unison to support their ally.

The Mutated Fungi spat out a massive cloud of spores, enveloping Mr. Ya like a thick smog.

"Watch out!"

Su Ze had sensed the spores in advance and shouted a warning.

Mr. Ya reacted just in time. A massive, double-sided turtle shell materialized around him. He retracted his limbs inside, letting the shell encase his entire body without any gaps, completely sealed.

Countless spores landed on the shell. Mycelia burrowed into it, drawing out nutrients. In an instant, the vibrant green shell began to dull and fade.

Meanwhile, the spores grew rapidly, sprouting into small mushrooms in the blink of an eye.

CRACK!

The turtle shell started to fracture.

Mr. Ya proactively abandoned the shell and scrambled out from within.

But taking advantage of the opportunity, the Invisibility Mushroom had recovered and was once again flying away.

Just as Mr. Ya was about to give chase, the crowd of giant Mutated Fungi attacked again, another volley of spores shooting toward him.

Seeing this, Su Ze immediately activated a combo of transformation skills: "Liquid Life," "Unyielding Will," and "Expansion," entering the fray as a giant dozens of meters tall.

He activated his Gravity Domain, using its pull to gather all the spores floating in the air into a single clump, preventing them from getting near him or Mr. Ya.

"You go after the Invisibility Mushroom. I’ll hold them off. I’ll use my Perception Tentacles to mark its location for you," Su Ze said to Mr. Ya.

Mr. Ya nodded. Still a bit worried about Su Ze, he left behind a Shadow Clone before breaking through the encirclement and chasing after the Invisibility Mushroom.

Su Ze unleashed a current of electricity to annihilate the clumped spores, then took a step forward. Each footfall made the earth tremble.

He arrived next to the hundred-meter-tall termite mushroom, wrapped his arms around it, and prepared to pull it out of the ground.

The great termite mushroom struggled desperately, its body rapidly shrinking as it continuously spewed all sorts of viscous, toxic liquids and parasitic spores.

The other Mutated Fungi also rushed to its aid, spitting out various corrosive spores. Su Ze fired off an Impact Cannon, absorbing all the toxic spores and slime, then shot a blast back from his liquid fingers.

The mix of various spores and toxic slime was released in a tremendous, high-pressure blast, which nearly sliced the hundred-meter termite mushroom in half at its waist, leaving less than ten percent of its mycelial connections intact.

These Mutated Fungi were similar to ranged-type human evolvers. They had a wide attack range, long reach, and their ranged attacks were not weak. However, they had few ways to counterattack once an enemy got in close.

You couldn’t exactly expect them to bludgeon people with their mushroom caps.

Moreover, they shared the same weakness as most Spiritual Plants: they were immobile and could not flee.

However, these Mutated Fungi were not easy to kill. The large mushrooms on the surface were merely their fruiting bodies; even if you broke them all, the fungi wouldn’t die.

Their true life force was rooted underground in a vast, intricate network of mycelia.

Su Ze fired another Needle Strike at the broken stump of the hundred-meter termite mushroom. With a loud BOOM, the massive mushroom collapsed and rapidly shrank.

But it wasn’t over. The stump of the great termite mushroom began to regrow rapidly as the underground mycelia continuously supplied it with nutrients.

’Let’s see what you’ve really got down there...’ Su Ze slammed a fist into the ground, caving it in and revealing a dense, tangled mass of mycelia.

It was like he had stirred up a hornet’s nest. The mycelia burst from the ground and coiled around Su Ze’s legs, their sharp tips piercing his liquid body and greedily drawing sustenance from him.

For these Mutated Fungi, Su Ze’s liquid body was the most easily absorbed form of nourishment.

"Needle Strike!"

Su Ze fired a "Needle Strike" at his own legs. It wasn’t to attack the mycelia attached to them, but to inject "Weakness Poison" into his legs.

Then, he decisively abandoned his legs, watching as they dissolved into two large puddles of liquid and were instantly absorbed by the mycelia.

And naturally, the "Weakness Poison" within his legs was absorbed by the mycelia as well.

Su Ze wasn’t sure if it would work, though. These Mutated Fungi were masters of poison themselves, so their own poison resistance was likely high. The Weakness Poison might not have much of an effect.

More mycelia coiled toward Su Ze. Suddenly, his vision blurred, and the world seemed to transform.

The giant Mutated Fungi were suddenly stretched out, each one growing to be hundreds of meters tall. But they only grew in height, becoming elongated and lanky.
