After Luna left my room, a long breath escaped my mouth as the burning sensation inside my body finally began to fade.

For a few seconds, I just sat on the floor without moving. My whole body was covered in sweat and my legs went numb because I sat for too long. But my body started to feel lighter. Then the system screen appeared in front of me.

I stared at the system screen for some time before revealing a small smile. "Qi gathering realm huh..."

I slowly tried getting up only to get hit by a disgusting smell.

"...What the hell?" This smell was coming from my body. I looked at my body in the mirror and saw black liquid coming out of my whole body.

"Damn, I need to take a shower. Thank God Luna isn’t here, or she would tease me alot." I started walking towards the direction of the shower. But then another system notification popped up. This time it was a quest.

Entering the academy was easy and also reaching the 2nd level of Qi gathering realm. I turned my focus towards the rewards.

"Hmm... a fancy sounding sword art and a storage ring." I was getting quite a lot of valuable things for basically doing nothing. The system was quite generous with the rewards.

Even those rich nobles treated sword arts and storage rings as treasures. But the system was just casually giving them to me.

"...Brother...I am coming inside." Luna’s sleepy voice came from outside my room. Before I could say no, the door pushed open. She started sniffing and immediately pinched her nose. "Why does you smell so bad?"

Instead of leaving my room, Luna climbed on my bed and wrapped herself in the blanket. I just shook my head, "Don’t touch my things while I’m taking a shower."

"I make no promises," she replied.

The moment I entered the bathroom, I started cleaning the black substance off of my body. I also used up the entire bottle of liquid soap and finally got rid of the smell.

"...This cultivation thing is ridiculous." I clenched my fist and felt strength flowing through my body. My strength increased a lot than what it was before. I’m already starting to feel like I could dominate the world.

After some minutes, I stepped out of the bathroom and changed into clean clothes. Luna was still lying on my bed while holding one of my books in her hand. But, why was she holding it upside down?

"I know. Big browther don’t need to tell me."

"Then why are you reading it like that?"

Luna looked at me for a few seconds like she was staring at a monkey. "I dwon’t know how to rewd. I’m jst looking."

"Wow...."

I quietly sat beside the window and looked outside. Rain was pouring heavily outside.Tomorrow is the entrance examination for Aether Academy. I wonder what the tests will be. They were never mentioned in the novel and were skipped.

Tomorrow will be the beginning of the story. I really don’t want to meet the main cast. But I also want them to follow the plot of the story. I need to help them from the background.

It feels so unreal that I would be meeting the guy I read about for two years on Earth. I watched how he fought his enemies, how he barely survived and how he stole the hearts of the women around him.

I looked at the time and realised it was way past Luna’s bedtime. "No, it’s already your time to sleep... go to your room now and sleep."

"Just for five minutes.. and I wanna sleep here to give you support for tomowrow." Luna said with sparkling eyes.

’Ugh.. don’t look at me with those eyes.. I can’t resist them.’ I took out my phone and gave it to her. "Fine..just five minutes and not a second more. But go to your room after that, I wanna be alone today."

"No, Luna will sleep here today. Luna has mom’s permission. Hehe..".

If mom gave her permission to sleep here then I could only helplessly sigh. "Fine." I can’t be bothered with it.

She must be having a bad dream, "Don’t worry big brother will always be there with you and protect you." I whispered. A small smile appeared on her face after I said that.

I leaned back, "Goodnight Luna." I need to be well prepared for tomorrow. I know I can’t get a high rank, but I still want to be in the middle ranks. So, for that I decided to sleep, because a good sleep will ensure a good rank for me.
