I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means
Chapter 1589 - 882: Facing the Divine Incarnation (2)
Of course, it was of no use to Lis.
He even felt like laughing a little.
After a long silence, Lis suddenly said with a smile:
"Perhaps what you say is true, but I did not expect that you, Spider Queen Rose, would kindly inform me?"
"Back in the Elf Capital, I was just a mere observer."
"But now, even you have to lower yourself to speak with me, don’t you?"
"It’s an honor, but I think this opportunity is better left to yourself!"
As Lis’ words fell, his figure flashed and disappeared from the spot.
His goal was achieved, and although he did not fear Spider Queen Rose, Lis did not wish to continue tangling with this troublesome existence.
He had done enough, and the rest could be left to the folks at the Church of the Gods!
Seeing Lis leave, Spider Queen Rose’s eyes flared with a sharp glint.
At this moment, Spider Queen Rose stood like an untouchable Dark God, proudly towering.
The eight enormous spider legs surrounding her body trembled slightly, like terrifying notes about to play in a dark symphony.
Each leg was thick and covered in hideous spikes, gleaming with a chilling dark light, seemingly able to easily shred anything daring to approach.
As the spider legs trembled, strands of black spider silk extended like surging dark currents from the joints of the legs.
These spider webs were not ordinary threads; they contained the evil and powerful force of Spider Queen Rose.
Swift as lightning, at a speed hard to capture by the naked eye, they slipped into the surrounding space.
So fast was this spread, akin to darkness itself instantly spreading; in the blink of an eye, layers upon layers of webs crazily extended into the surrounding space, like a massive, invisible net covering the entire area.
Their sole purpose was to find Lis’ trace.
Lis had originally planned to quickly leave through Space Transmission.
However, Spider Queen Rose’s action completely disrupted his rhythm.
Just as he was about to activate the Teleportation Magic, the surrounding space felt as if gripped by an invisible force, suddenly solidifying.
The flowing Magic Power seemed like a frozen stream, halted, and the prepared teleportation was mercilessly interrupted.
Lis only felt a strong resistance coming at him, making his body sway, almost losing balance.
But, after all, as a Demigod, Lis remained unfazed after the teleportation was interrupted.
Lis knew well the power of Spider Queen Rose’s incarnation was formidable, even as a Demigod, he didn’t want to easily confront this terrifying entity.
Lis quickly contemplated other means of leaving, scanning the solidified space for any loopholes.
However, before he could come up with a countermeasure, a sudden change arose.
Countless dense spider silk suddenly appeared out of nowhere around his body, seemingly traversing from another dimension, carrying endless malice and killing intent, crazily wrapping towards him.
The spider silk moved as if alive, deftly weaving, tying, and within moments, Lis was tightly bound.
Caught off guard, when Lis realized the danger, he was already wrapped up like a mummy by the spider silk.
His body was tightly restrained by the spider silk, unable to move, each silk seemed to contain the force of a thousand pounds, making it difficult for him to breathe.
More frightening was the various black Phantom Spiders crawling up his body.
These Phantom Spiders moved like ghosts through the gaps of the spider silk, emitting sharp hissing sounds.
Lis could feel the evil aura radiating from these Phantom Spiders.
They continuously gnawed at his Protective Magic Power, trying to invade his body and corrode his soul.
Suddenly, a sharp sword light flashed by like a meteor, breaking through this heavy darkness.
Lis appeared holding a green longsword, like a War God emerging from the darkness, forcibly cutting through the layers of steel-like spider webs surrounding his body and strode out.
At this moment, Lis looked solemn.
Due to Spider Queen Rose’s tight restrictions, he found it completely impossible to forcibly perform teleportation to leave this dangerous place.
Lis knew that although Spider Queen Rose was a Divine entity, given her current incarnation’s power, she couldn’t truly kill him.
Yet, she still chose to strike; there must be other motives behind this.
Lis astutely realized that Spider Queen Rose’s actions were likely intended to probe his trump cards, seeking out hidden strengths and secrets.
After all, with Clement dead, no one knew the details of their battle.
Precisely because of this, when facing Spider Queen Rose’s attack, Lis did not easily unleash his Domain of Chaos and Wisdom, nor did he utilize the Chaotic Power he controls.
He knew well that once these cards were prematurely exposed, he would fall into a highly passive situation in future confrontations.
At this point, the green longsword he tightly grasped was formed through the Power of Nature and Life Rules.
This force was utterly contrary to the dark evil power represented by Spider Queen Rose, mutually restraining each other, suited to handle the current predicament.
Lis’ eyes were like torches, firmly staring at the not distant Spider Queen Rose.
He fiercely swung the longsword, channeling all his Strength into it, then hurled it at Spider Queen Rose.
The longsword drew a swift arc through the air, crossing space in an instant, appearing before Spider Queen Rose like a specter.
The longsword carried a sharp, piercing intent, aiming directly at Spider Queen Rose’s heart, as if to pierce her thoroughly.
Spider Queen Rose’s cold and evil eyes flared with a hint of disdain as she stretched out a broad and powerful arm covered in black scales and easily caught the longsword.
At the moment she grasped the longsword, a formidable dark force surged from her hand, extending along the longsword.
However, this longsword forged with the Power of Nature and Life Rules was not so easily destroyed.
The sword shook violently, engaging in fierce combat with the dark force, emitting buzzing sounds.
But eventually, in the face of Spider Queen Rose’s terrifying might, the longsword was gradually corroded by the dark force, emitting crisp cracking sounds, disintegrating into countless fragments and vanishing in the air.
Yet, at the moment Spider Queen Rose crushed the sword, she suddenly realized that Lis had already vanished without a trace.
Indeed, Lis had submerged into the Shadow at the moment of throwing the sword, cleverly concealing his aura and trace.
He moved like a nimble specter through the darkness, seeking better opportunities.
Spider Queen Rose’s face turned cold, her already eerie visage became even more terrifying.
She emitted a sharp hiss, and immediately, an expansive domain of illusory spider webs spread crazily from her body to the surrounding area.
These illusory webs, as if alive, rapidly covered the entire space, forming a vast dark cage.
The webs flickered with sinister dark light, radiating a chilling evil aura, seemingly dragging anyone touched into endless dark Abyss.
Hiding within the Shadow, Lis sensed this bizarre domain of illusory webs reaching him; a powerful and uncanny force stabbed into his body like countless fine needles.
Lis cursed inwardly and, unable to avoid it, gritted his teeth, emerging sharply from the Shadow.
What a nuisance!
Lis felt true pressure at this moment.
In facing Spider Queen Rose, even attempting to flee was no simple task.
With just a probe, Lis understood that with his current power, it was difficult to counter Spider Queen Rose.
After all, the gap between them was a chasm between human and Divine.
Lis realized that even using the Domain of Chaos and Wisdom would have no effect.
Ultimately, the gap between them was indeed vast.
However...
This might still be not too bad an opportunity!
Let me personally experience the power of the Divine!
