Kevin turned his head when he heard the scream and noticed the door shut tightly.

"What?"

He asked loudly while he took the towel he had been using to dry his hair and wrapped it around his waist.

The door creaked open and the white haired boy peeked out with a flushed expression. "Why are you naked in the hall!?"

Kevin tilted his head and replied. "My room’s fan isn’t working properly." He pointed at the ceiling. "So I came here."

"You cannot walk around naked!!" Patrick snapped, almost screaming.

"Would you relax." Kevin replied, shrugging. "We are both guys here."

"...."

Patrick pursed his lips but in the end couldn’t say anything.

Opening the door, he walked out and stood in front of Kevin.

Due to their height difference, it became awkward when he tried to intimidate Kevin.

"We need some ground rules here." Patrick said in a deep voice. "Otherwise I will kick you out of the room."

"It’s not your room." Kevin said, looking down at him. "Besides, I am sleepy."

"Listen to me!"

Just as Kevin tried to turn around, Patrick tried to grab his hand but because of their positions his hand landed on the knot of the towel.

With a dramatic thud, the towel pooled around Kevin’s legs.

"...."

Patrick saw the ’monster’ once again...a little too closely this time.

In the early morning of Thursday, Mikhail freshened up, took a bath and had breakfast in the cafeteria.

There was nothing to do for the next two days so Mikhail decided to have a good look around the city.

After registering at the front gate, Mikhail walked out of the university along with Kevin.

Glancing at him, Mikhail couldn’t help but notice a mark on Kevin’s face.

Even though Mikhail had asked him about it, Kevin refused to answer.

’He definitely got slapped....’

Mikhail thought, wondering what he had done on the first day to get his face smacked.

Kevin also noticed his gaze and rubbed his cheek.

"Tell me." Kevin started the conversation. "How would you react if you saw my dick?"

Mikhail frowned and looked at him with disgust. "What type of question is this?"

"Just answer."

"...I wouldn’t react that much." Mikhail replied slowly. "Well, it also depends on the situation."

Kevin opened his mouth and closed it again. He seemed to be in a dilemma.

Mikhail ignored him after his weird question and reached a bus stop.

The capital city of Solara was divided mainly into seven different regions.

Everything around the courtroom, parliament and castle of the royal family was inside the King’s Ward.

Below it was the Queen’s Ward, which hosted the richest factory owners, company owners, nobles and members of parliament.

The two wards were known as the inner city, which covered almost half of the capital.

Then there were three areas divided by the three churches and their headquarters. Under those areas lived the devotees of the gods.

They were the Sun Metropolis, Moon Suburb and War Town.

They were the only three places where nobles and commoners could be found living together.

Lastly, there was the outer circle which consisted of Candlewood Borough and Hris Borough, where all the working class and lower-middle commoners lived.

The Imperial University wasn’t under any of these areas as it was a place of its own, granted unconditional freedom by the first King Julius Aegon I.

As the bus arrived at the stop, Mikhail and Kevin got inside and found a seat.

Their plan was to visit the Moon Suburb, which was west of the Imperial University.

"Do we really have to go there?" Kevin, who sat on the aisle, grumbled softly.

"Your mother asked you to visit the church headquarters first." Mikhail reminded him softly. "She made sure I bring you there."

Kevin muttered some colourful words which Mikhail ignored.

Sarah, Kevin’s mother, was a devotee of the Faceless Moon and really wanted Kevin to be the same.

’Too bad, her son isn’t someone the goddess would fancy.’

Mikhail thought to himself, looking out of the moving bus.

Unlike at night when everyone was mainly sleeping, Mikhail could finally see the sheer number of people in the city.

No matter where he looked, Mikhail found a lot of faces everywhere.

’Then again, the city has a population of over five million...’

Mikhail let out a sigh and waited for their destination.

---

After fifteen minutes, they finally arrived at the Moon Suburb.

The place was much cleaner than the outer city, with many warning signs hanging around.

Mikhail and Kevin stepped off the bus and their gaze immediately fell on the church headquarters.

The headquarters of the Faceless Moon church was called the Saintess Agatha Sanctuary.

It was built on the tomb of Saintess Agatha, one of the most well known devotees of the goddess.

The building was huge with a massive dome-like structure. The white arches on the side felt like they touched the sky.

Most of the outer marble had been eroded and turned black but the craftmanship over it hadn’t diminished.

A long line had formed in front of the Sanctuary as people of all ages stood outside.

Mikhail glanced at Kevin who was observing the scenery. "This will definitely take some time."

Kevin gave a short nod and grumbled. "We shouldn’t have come here."

Mikhail chuckled and patted his back. "Go and get your blessings, I will be waiting outside."

Kevin glanced at him and asked. "Are you not coming inside?"

’My class is Outer God. What if the goddess finds out and zaps me into oblivion?’

Mikhail grumbled inwardly as he turned around. "I will be inside the coffee house."

Kevin didn’t force him and just nodded before walking towards the line.

Mikhail walked inside the coffee house on the opposite side of the bus stop.

Inside was a cosy atmosphere with books about the Saintess on display for anyone to read.

Mikhail immediately got interested and walked closer.

Just then the owner turned around and looked at him with a smile. "Which coffee would you like me to serve?"

’Hm, bronze skin and tall height. Is he from the southern region as well?’

Mikhail looked at him silently and compared his look with Patrick’s.

’Patrick definitely isn’t from the south....’

He glanced at the menu and ordered. "A soul soothing coffee of the west."

"A wise choice." The man said, nodding his head. "Just give me ten minutes."

Mikhail nodded and picked up a book from the desk with the man’s permission.

He sat down on a comfortable sofa and opened the book while his eyes still lingered on the man.

The Aegon Kingdom wasn’t always the one to rule the southern side.

Those native to the land were mostly living under tribes and the rule of chieftains.

But when news spread about them holding valuable minerals, the Aegon Kingdom attacked them in the name of liberation.

’Disguising their greed under the pretext of freedom...’

Mikhail opened the book and at the same time the door of the coffee house opened up.

Two men walked inside wearing trench coats and baggy jeans.

They had a badge on their chests which bore the emblem of the Faceless Moon.

’Church officials...?’

Mikhail guessed as they walked towards him.
