The weird feeling of passing through the Rift was gone as soon as it came.

Mikhail blinked his eyes to adjust to the dim light of the new environment.

The inside of the Rift was unlike anything he had imagined before.

It was devoid of any type of greenery; there were trees, but they were charred completely black in colour.

The ground was made of fine soil that resembled dust and sand, entirely black in colour.

The sky was made of multiple rays of light that were intertwined with each other, there was an orange sun hanging at the edge and no stars.

Mikhail, who had explicitly felt the triggering of the Artifact of Destruction, was on high alert.

He looked around, expecting a horde of monsters, but to his surprise, there was nothing.

’Was I transferred to a different location?’

Mikhail wondered, but looking back, he found his teammates had all walked inside the Rift.

That left him confused, but he made sure not to let his guard down.

Just as the rest of his teammates were done admiring the place, an awkward silence followed.

They had all expected to find monsters inside, but there was nothing. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

After a few seconds, one of the nobles stepped forward. "What should we do now?"

He was on the taller side with short lavender hair and eyes.

As he asked, his gaze couldn’t help but shift towards the wine-red haired Aleena.

"My job is to assess you, not to be your guide." She replied with a slight smile. "You guys are on your own."

The noble looked away and focused on the students around him.

"What do you guys think?" He asked, folding his hands.

Without waiting for anyone’s reply, he suggested, "I know that there is a tear in space that would lead us back to the real world. Maybe we should find that."

"That tear can only be used once we completely kill off at least seventy percent of the monsters or kill the Boss Monster."

Another student chimed in, he was from the Commoners.

A young boy on the shorter side with black hair and eyes. Mikhail noticed his hands, which were as hairy as a grizzly bear’s, by which he held a big shield.

"Maybe we should kill as many monsters as possible before finding the exit space."

"Do you see any monsters here, retard?" The noble boy snapped. "How are we supposed to kill what we can’t see?"

"What did you call me, you piece of shit!"

The commoner snapped back as well, stepping forward.

Mikhail, who was looking from the side, couldn’t help but sigh. ’And they are my teammates.’

"Alright guys, stop."

Another commoner, who was a lady, quickly intervened.

She had a refined look with long black hair. She wore simple glasses over her eyes.

"How about we do this?" She said, looking at everyone. "We move towards the east and look for the tear in space or for monsters."

By east, the lady meant towards the sun, though she wasn’t sure if the sun was setting or rising.

The others had no objection to her plan, and even Mikhail was thinking along the same lines.

’I just hope there isn’t a problem.’

"Before we move, we should know each other’s skills." Patrick suggested. "Of course, if we want to act as a team."

The lady with glasses was the first to nod and step forward.

"My name is Stella. My class is Planter of Marchioness Rank. The two skills I learned are Healing and Plant Control."

The Marchioness was just the female version of Marquess.

’Her skill of plant control is not very useful here, but her healing skill puts her above most.’

Mikhail immediately assessed the lady and nodded inwardly.

The commoner with grizzly bear-like hands stepped forward next. "My name is James. I’m a Warden of Marquess Rank."

He didn’t specify his skills, but with his gear, Mikhail felt he was suitable for frontal warfare.

Next to step forward were the two nobles; one of them was a lady named Nelly and the boy was named Bert, both of them were of Count Rank.

Nelly was a Huntress who used a bow, and Bert was an assassin who used daggers as his weapon of choice.

Next, it was the weak-looking boy’s turn to step forward.

"My name is Patrick Samwell. A noble from the South. My class is Mutated Tamer, and this is my companion Veltam."

Saying so, he pointed at the owl who was perched on a black tree.

’A mutated class, huh?’

Mikhail had heard of it, they were classes that had been enhanced by their bloodlines.

Mikhail stepped forward and said monotonously, "I’m the same as Patrick. A Viscount class Tamer, and this is Methew."

The other teammates looked at both of them with doubtful expressions.

"Two Tamers in the same group..." even the wine-haired Aleena was perplexed.

Finally, it was the noble’s turn who had taken the initiative to lead.

"My name is Jasper Kaspersky." There was a sense of superiority in his tone. "I am a Consul of Duke Rank. My skills are Distribution and Disorder."

The names of his skills told everything one needed to know.

Still having a big smile plastered on his face, Jasper took out a small cylindrical object with a cone-like head from his pocket.

He imbued his mana into the object, and it instantly turned into a long spear with engravings on it.

Mikhail immediately got interested in the item.

He even wondered if he could snatch the spear from him.

’Would he get angry if I take the weapon after his death?’

Mikhail mused inwardly without showing any emotion on his face.

Jasper nodded his head, seemingly satisfied. "And as the one with the highest class, I will be the leader."

Saying so, he gave James a cold look, the boy who had argued with him.

None of them had any problem, and Mikhail was happy someone was taking the risk.

"Alright!" Jasper said loudly. "Let’s move now."

He took the lead and began to walk towards the sun.

Mikhail and the others followed behind him.

After thinking for a few seconds, Mikhail summoned his status screen.
