Chapter 141: Knight’s Bar

After a long silence, one of the elders finally turned to Wren.

"Wren... is it true?"

Wren met the elder’s gaze and nodded. "Yes, Father."

"But how is that possible?" The female elder from earlier could no longer maintain her composure. "Dense indigo? That’s something only recorded in the history books."

She turned toward the Clan Master once more. "Didn’t you once tell us that even the previous Clan Master could only wield pale indigo demon purging aura? Then how can someone suddenly appear out of nowhere with dense indigo demon purging aura? That’s ridiculous!"

The other elders exchanged uncertain glances. None of them knew what to say anymore. Everything they had heard sounded utterly impossible. Yet neither Hazel nor Wren had any reason to fabricate such a story.

The Clan Master remained silent for a moment before speaking. "Before we jump to the conclusion that someone really leaked our technique, we must first learn more about this young man."

He shifted his gaze to Hazel. "What did you say his name was?"

"Leon Bale," Hazel replied.

"Leon Bale..." The Clan Master repeated the name under his breath. "Very well. It’s decided. We’ll send someone to investigate him first."

"But, Master..." Wren suddenly interjected. "The demon purging aura belongs to our clan. He must have stolen it. Why waste time investigating? He’s nothing more than an outsider. There’s no way he can stand against a cultivator, yet he dared to steal from us."

The Clan Master slowly turned toward him.

His eyes were calm, yet carried unquestionable authority. "Since when did I start seeking advice from a junior?"

His gaze sharpened. "Wren... you haven’t forgotten where you’re standing, have you?"

His voice wasn’t loud. Nor was it aggressive.

Yet it sent a chill down Wren’s spine.

Without waiting for a reply, the Clan Master rose from his seat and walked out of the hall.

Wren lowered his head. His fists clenched tightly as he gritted his teeth, suppressing the anger burning inside him.

Meanwhile, back in Delvan...

Leon soon arrived at the location Henry had sent him. To his surprise, it was the very same gym he had visited shortly after awakening.

’Knight’s Bar.’

"If I had some money to spare, I could rent one of the training rooms and test my strength and speed again. And the gravity test as well. Who knows what kind of result I’d get now that I’m at A-Class level." He sighed.

Then, all of a sudden, an idea popped into his mind.

"Hey, System. Can I exchange Spirit Coins for real money?"

[Negative, Host. The System cannot transact anything that doesn’t exist within the System. However, the Host may use Spirit Coins to purchase weapons or artifacts from the System and sell them in exchange for money.]

"That’s actually a great idea." Leon’s eyes lit up.

[It is an option, Host. But not a wise one. Every weapon and artifact within the System is unique and extremely rare. Selling them for money would be a tremendous loss. Without understanding their true value, others would never pay what those weapons or artifacts are actually worth.]

"What a party pooper, System. You always get my hopes up only to crush them the next second."

The System didn’t respond.

"Whatever." Leon shrugged. "I don’t think the equipment in this gym can even measure the strength of an A-Class hunter. I’d probably have to visit a high-end gym or the Hunter Association for that. Besides, Mr. Cooper asked me to meet him whenever I had the time. I will inform him that I will be coming to the Hunter Association tomorrow after my college." With that, Leon started walking.

Just then...

Someone stepped within five meters of him.

Leon sensed it instantly. A pair of eyes was fixed on him. A hand cut through the air, reaching toward his back. His body reacted instinctively. He shifted to the side, effortlessly dodging the incoming hand.

"What the fuck, dude?" Henry’s surprised voice rang out behind him. "What was that just now?"

Leon turned around. "Uh... It’s you."

Although Spirit Zone allowed him to perceive everything within its range, it was still a newly awakened ability. He wasn’t yet accustomed to it. He could sense every movement with perfect clarity, but identifying a person solely from those movements wasn’t easy. After all, he wasn’t seeing with his eyes.

Henry continued staring at him with widened eyes, clearly waiting for an explanation.

"Nothing, man." Leon scratched the back of his head. "I just felt like someone was about to touch me."

"Whoa..." Henry looked at him in amazement. "Is this some kind of superpower, Leon? I wasn’t even trying to hit you. I was just going to tap your shoulder, yet you still sensed someone was about to interact with you."

"It’s no superpower. I just had a feeling someone was behind me. That’s all. Come on, let’s go."

"Are you sure it was just a hunch?" Henry narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "You’re not hiding something from your buddy, are you?"

Instead of answering, Leon simply wrapped an arm around Henry’s neck. "Let’s go."

"Wait, wait. I am sorry." Henry tried to free himself but Leon only tightened the lock.

Leon glanced at the other students walking behind them. The rest of the class was also heading toward the gym, accompanied by several teachers.

Leon greeted the teachers before dragging Henry inside.

"Oh my God, it’s Leon!" One of the girls clasped her hands in front of her chest, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Why are you acting like a little kid, idiot?" the girl beside her said, lightly smacking her on the head.

"Well, it’s Leon Bale we’re talking about. The Leon Bale. You know what he did, right?"

"Which one? The Nick one or the Gate one?"

"Both."

"Yeah, yeah, I know he’s cool and all. But why are you acting like this?"

"I don’t know..." She hesitated for a moment before whispering, "Do you think he has a girlfriend?"

"Probably not. But if you don’t want to make Cecilia your enemy, don’t even think about him."

"Like I care about her." The girl pouted.

"You should. You know what her family is capable of, don’t you?"

Hearing that, the excitement on the girl’s face immediately faded.

Meanwhile, Leon and Henry had just entered the gym when Leon’s eyes fell upon a familiar figure standing in front of the receptionist.

’Wait... what’s she doing here? She isn’t going to recognize me... right?’
