I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 98: Where Have I Seen That Sword?
"No, brother, don’t." Jenny cried out as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"What are you crying for, silly?" Leon said with a faint smile. "I’ll be back soon."
Jasper looked at Archie and nodded before heading into the mansion. David followed behind him. As the two of them passed Eira, who was still holding Jenny hostage, David couldn’t help but feel uneasy. He was worried she might suddenly attack them.
But Eira didn’t even spare them a glance.
It was as if she wasn’t worried in the slightest that Jasper might attack her while they were distracted.
Soon, the two disappeared into the mansion.
Almost fifteen minutes later, they returned.
The veins on Jasper’s forehead were visibly bulged. He was carrying Noah in his arms.
Noah was in a terrible state. His body was covered in injuries, and he was barely conscious.
Beside him was Meridith. Her cheeks were swollen and red. It was obvious she had been tortured.
"What the hell did you do to my brother?!" Jasper roared at Eira.
"Don’t look at me." Eira shrugged. "The person responsible for their condition is already lying over there."
Her gaze shifted toward Foxtrot’s corpse in the distance.
Jasper gritted his teeth, ready to act.
"Jasper." Archie called out to him and subtly shook his head, signaling him not to act rashly.
Jasper could only clench his fists and remain silent.
Noah was still poisoned. They needed the cure. Wendy and Meridith walked out on their own and joined the others.
"Now cure them first," Archie said.
Eira pulled out a small vial. "First, he needs to drink this." Her eyes landed on Leon. "Then I’ll hand over the cure."
"You must be dreaming if you think all your absurd demands will be fulfilled," Jasper said through gritted teeth.
Eira merely shrugged again. "Only I know how to cure them. If you think my demands are too much, suit yourself." A faint smile appeared beneath her veil. "You can go ahead and kill me."
Jasper raised a hand in anger, ready to crush her throat. But after a moment, he lowered it in frustration.
"It’s alright."
Everyone turned toward Leon.
"I’ll drink it."
"What?!" Shock appeared on every face present.
’Wanting to save his sister is definitely commendable. But this is the Poison Queen we’re talking about. Even touching her is dangerous.’ Everyone seemed to be thinking the same thing.
"Boy, are you sure about this?" Oliver asked, his brows furrowed.
"Yes." Leon answered calmly.
But inside his mind, he was thinking something entirely different. ’Poison is an elemental affinity, too. If I play this right, I’ll gain another immunity and another element I can use to cast magic with.’
Hearing his answer, even Eira was slightly taken aback. ’Shouldn’t he be trying to force me into submission instead? Is he a fool... Or does he think he can take me down whenever he wants?’
"A-Alright then..." Jasper said, feeling somewhat guilty. ’If you somehow survive this, I’ll definitely give you a high position in my guild,’ he thought.
Leon walked toward Eira and took the vial.
Eira chuckled softly. "You’ve got courage. I’ll give you that."
Leon didn’t bother responding. He pulled out the cork and drank the entire contents in a single gulp.
His decisiveness shocked Eira even more.
Meanwhile...
[Host has consumed a Grade 3 poison.]
[Poison Resistance is increasing.]

Notifications began flooding the panel.
Leon’s eyes lit up. At the same time, an excruciating pain spread throughout his body. It felt as if his internal organs were slowly rotting away. And in truth, they were.
Slowly. Relentlessly.
But...
’With my self-healing ability, I really want to see just how powerful her poison is.’ A faint smile appeared on Leon’s face.
But the very next moment, blood spilled from the corner of Leon’s mouth.
"Brother!" Jenny cried out in panic.
Leon slowly wiped away the blood. "Don’t worry. I’m fine."
Saying that, he turned toward Eira and looked her in the eyes. "Now cure them immediately. Or I’ll cut your head off this instant." His voice was cold.
Looking at the blood staining Leon’s lips, Eira laughed in amusement. ’And here I was getting worked up, thinking my leverage wasn’t enough. So he’s just putting on an act. Well, be my guest.’
She released Jenny and pulled out a short knife.
"What are you trying to do?!" Leon panicked and was about to lunge forward, thinking she was about to harm Jenny.
But to everyone’s surprise, Eira sliced a small cut across her palm. Blood immediately dripped from the wound.
"This is the cure." She quickly collected four drops of blood into a small vial. Then she held it up. "Here. One drop for each person."
She tossed the vial toward Leon.
"You have five minutes. After that, we’re leaving." A devious smile appeared on her face. "And those drops are only for them. If you want to survive, you’ll need something else to get rid of the poison you just drank."
’Damn it. She’s cunning,’ Archie thought.
Leon, however, wasn’t affected in the slightest. He caught the vial and walked over to Jenny.
"Here." He carefully fed her one drop of blood. ’If she truly intends to leave, then she has no reason to play tricks now. At least for them, this blood should really be the cure.’
Jenny looked at Leon worriedly but swallowed the drop. Almost instantly, the burning sensation inside her body began to fade.
"Did it work?" Leon asked, unable to hide the tension in his voice.
Jenny nodded. "Yes. I think it did."
Leon let out a sigh of relief. He then walked over and handed the vial to Jasper.
"You can take it from here." His gaze shifted toward Jenny. "I’ll have to leave her in your care. Please make sure she gets home safely."
Then he looked at the unconscious Noah.
"I hope he wakes up soon as well."
Jasper nodded and accepted the vial.
Leon then turned toward Eira.
"Let’s go."
"Good. You understand what you need to do if you want to live."
She began walking toward the exit. "Don’t worry. If I obtain what I’m looking for, I’ll give you your cure as well." But inwardly, she sneered. ’Keep dreaming, fool.’
Not far away, one of the A-Class hunters leaned closer to Archie and whispered,
"Guildmaster, now that we have the cure, maybe we should capture her. Only one life is at stake now. If we let her escape, countless lives could be endangered."
Archie’s expression darkened. "Don’t forget that all of you are still standing here alive because of him."
The hunter immediately lowered his head, too embarrassed to say another word.
Under everyone’s watchful gaze, Eira left with Leon.
Jenny stood there silently, tears still streaming down her cheeks. She wanted to help her brother. But even she knew she didn’t have the strength to do so right now.
Meanwhile, as Leon and Eira walked out of the Bowen estate and then left in a car, a figure suddenly appeared out of thin air.
It was none other than Alpha.
Blood was dripping from a massive sword wound in the left side of his chest. The injury looked severe, but somehow he was still alive.
"Where have I seen that sword before?" he muttered, his brows furrowing deeply. He lowered his head and fell into thought. A few moments later, something suddenly clicked.
"I remember now."
The next instant, his figure vanished once again, disappearing without a trace.
