The woman continued talking to herself.

"In that case, how about I kill that girl from earlier after we eat? You wouldn’t feel bad, would you? Hehe!"

The woman spoke of killing as casually as if she were swatting a mosquito.

Zhao Rui remained silent, still looking at his phone. The woman’s words and actions were bizarre, and he couldn’t quite figure out what this so-called "Witch Venerable" was.

Especially since even the Shaolin Temple was wary of her. She was clearly no saint.

Seeing Zhao Rui still quiet, the woman grew annoyed and walked straight out of the shop.

She returned after a short while.

Meanwhile, the commotion outside didn’t last long. Passersby just assumed someone had died suddenly, and soon enough, an ambulance came and took the body away.

"Guess what I was up to?"

"Since you were ignoring me, I went and killed a few people. Turns out you Blue Star people are so weak. Hehe!"

A satisfied smile appeared on the woman’s face.

Just then, the round-faced young waitress came over, her face wreathed in smiles, carrying a tray.

"Here you go, please enjoy your meal!"

The girl politely invited the two to eat, then nodded and turned to walk back to the kitchen.

The woman looked at the noodle-like food in the bowl and couldn’t help but swallow.

Seeing Zhao Rui had already started eating, she also began to slurp it down noisily.

Neither of them had eaten a proper meal in a long time.

They each polished off three servings before feeling somewhat full.

The round-faced girl was overjoyed watching them devour the food. When they finished, she walked over with a sweet smile and bowed in thanks.

She thanked them for enjoying her family’s cooking so much.

The woman sneered and pointed a finger at the girl’s head.

The girl remained oblivious, completely unaware that she was on the brink of death.

"Hundred Fragrance, sorry to bother you again!"

A man’s voice came from the doorway.

Hearing the voice, the girl hurried to the entrance to welcome the new customer inside.

"Were you planning on making a move just now?"

The woman gave Zhao Rui a half-smile, as if teasing him for his reaction was a particularly fun game.

"I’m full."

Zhao Rui stood up and walked straight out the door.

"Sir, you haven’t paid yet."

The girl was about to chase after him when the man she had just led in chuckled. "He’s a friend of mine. Put his bill on my tab."

"Is this what you people call dining and dashing?"

The woman sneered, giggled, and turned to follow him out the door.

"Don’t you want to experience the local culture of East Japan? Don’t you want to experience modern life on Blue Star?"

Zhao Rui stood atop a skyscraper that pierced the clouds, looking down on the bustling metropolis of East Asia.

"What you say does sound a little interesting."

"How should I address you?"

"You can call me Mo Ling’Er! And you?"

"My name is ’Old Driver’!"

"Alright, ’Old... Driver.’ I’ll play with you for a couple of days. Don’t even think about running. You can’t escape."

Mo Ling’Er gave a carefree smile, then suddenly looked up at the sky. Her ten fingers moved rapidly, forming different shapes as she chanted something under her breath.

Then, a faint, almost illusory, and mysterious sensation suddenly branded itself onto Zhao Rui.

Zhao Rui’s Divine Soul was incredibly sensitive. He quickly circulated his True Qi, trying to resist it.

But unexpectedly, the sensation of this mark ignored his True Qi and imprinted itself directly onto his Divine Soul.

"Detectable replicable Martial Arts: Soul-Chasing Seal (Divine Soul Witchcraft). Replicate?"

"Replicate!"

Zhao Rui’s expression darkened as he hurriedly chose to replicate it.

’Damn it, this woman is so treacherous,’ he thought. ’I was trying to buy time, lead this disaster eastward, and lure her into the Holy Lotus Sect’s lair.’

’But I didn’t expect her to be this smart, placing a Witchcraft spell on me.’

’Too bad for her, she never would have guessed I have a system that can replicate this Martial Art.’

Zhao Rui pretended not to notice and asked, "What are you looking at?"

"I’m looking at how low the sky is here. It’s so different from Gui Xu."

The woman said casually.

Zhao Rui remained silent, waiting for the woman to finish her act. Only then did he say, "Let’s go. Let’s see the city life here. It might be beyond your imagination."

"Is that so? I’ll be waiting with bated breath."

The woman smiled, a cunning glint in her eyes.

Zhao Rui slid straight down the glass wall of the skyscraper, recreating a classic scene from Big Brother Cheng Long in his past life.

He had to admit, it was pretty thrilling.

Seeing him do this, the woman followed suit, sliding down with her arms spread wide to feel the wind rushing past.

"Come on, let’s go to an izakaya for a drink!"

Zhao Rui landed, straightened his clothes, and then opened his phone’s navigation to walk toward a nearby bar.

’Might as well have some fun while I’m here.’

Once inside the izakaya, Zhao Rui found the most open spot and sat down.

He also ordered a huge amount of drinks.

"Ever had this before?"

Zhao Rui picked up a glass and handed it to the woman.

The woman nodded. "You think I know nothing? All of Stan is our territory now."

The woman said smugly.

"Oh, right. Why were you all willing to leave your home? Is it because the environment in Gui Xu is harsh?"

"Gui Xu is much better than this place. The mountains are high, the sky is high, and there are all sorts of magical things, a vast starry sky..."

A flicker of reminiscence passed through the woman’s eyes.

"Drink up. Let’s try this cocktail. I’ve never had one either!"

Zhao Rui downed his drink in one gulp and held up the empty glass toward the woman.

"It’s just alcohol."

The woman casually picked up her glass and downed it as well.

And so they drank, one glass after another.

After about an hour, five or six bottles were empty, startling the waiter who was bringing them drinks.

"I’m going to use the restroom."

Zhao Rui, his face flushed, stood up and walked toward the restroom in the back.

The woman wasn’t worried at all. A sneer played on her lips as she watched Zhao Rui disappear into the back.

"Hey beautiful, all alone?"

Not long after Zhao Rui left, just as the woman was about to open another bottle, a fat man walked over carrying a bottle of wine and sat in Zhao Rui’s seat.

"Beautiful, I just opened a bottle of vintage Anglando wine. Care to share a glass?"

The fat man placed the bottle on the table and said, looking rather pleased with himself.

The woman shot the fat man a look of disgust. Just as she was about to finish him off, her expression froze. She stood up in disbelief and stared toward the back of the bar.

"Beautiful!"

The woman didn’t understand what the fat man was saying, nor did she have time to deal with him. She could no longer feel the trace of the Witch Seal she had placed on Zhao Rui.

"Damn it!"

The woman casually slapped the fat man, sending him flying into a wall.

He collapsed in a heap of broken bones, like a pile of mud.

"AHH!"

A huge cry of terror instantly filled the bar.

"Noisy!"

The woman snorted coldly, and everyone near her instantly collapsed to the ground, their status unknown.

Then she kicked down the back wall and walked into the empty space behind the bar.

"Damn it! When I catch you, I’ll skin you alive and rip out your tendons to satisfy my rage."

The woman never would have imagined that her trump card, the one she was so proud of, had actually failed.

She looked around blankly. There was no sign of Zhao Rui anywhere.

Infuriated, the woman casually unleashed a blast of Powerful Qi that resembled a shockwave.

It instantly blasted the entire bar into a pile of rubble and a cloud of rising smoke and dust.

Such a huge commotion immediately attracted the attention of passersby.

They scattered in terror, though some of the bolder ones stood at a distance, pointing and staring at the woman.

The woman had no patience for them. With a single wave of her hand, these gossiping onlookers were sent flying.

"Who are you? How dare you cause trouble on my territory? Don’t you know we are from the Holy Lotus Sect?"

Just then, a sharp-eyed man holding a katana, followed by several subordinates also dressed in samurai-style clothing, rushed over from a distance.

When they got close, they all leaped up and surrounded the woman.

The woman didn’t even bother to glance at them. Her figure flickered, and she vanished from their sight.

"Report to our superiors immediately! We’ve found a suspected foreign Dharma Realm master."

The man with the katana was just about to report to his superior when his vision suddenly went black.

He and his underlings all collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
