I Got Cheated On and Ended Up in A Beast World
Chapter 81 - Eighty-One: Qin Mo and Kitty Apron
The night sky above the village square had settled into a quiet, starry expanse, but the damp earth still radiated the residual heat of the heavenly lightning.
Lin Wan stood on the wooden porch, her wrists still tingling slightly from the phantom warmth of the dual mate marks.
She turned her gaze back to Lanying, whose blue gauze wear fluttered gently in the cool evening breeze.
"Before we go to the cubs, you need to blindfold yourself," Lin Wan said, her voice dropping into a flat, businesslike tone.
She reached into her sleeve and pulled out a thick, wide strip of black cloth she had prepared earlier. "Tie your eyes tightly."
Lanying raised an eyebrow, a flicker of haughty Sea Sovereign pride flashing through her ocean-blue eyes.
But she looked at Lin Wan’s unreadable expression, remembered the absolute golden light of the heavenly Dao oath currently stamped onto her soul, and simply let out a soft hum.
She took the black cloth. She knew that even with her eyes completely tied, a cultivator of her level possessed senses so sharp that she could map out an entire continent through vibration and air pressure alone.
What she didn’t know was that no amount of sensory training or primitive beastworld logic would ever prepare her for what was about to happen.
She assumed they were simply walking into a hidden cave or a subterranean spatial array. Nothing would ever make Lanying think they were about to step entirely out of the beastworld dimension.
Once the black cloth was securely fastened around Lanying’s head, covering her eyes completely, Lin Wan stepped closer. She placed a cold, firm hand on Lanying’s wrist.
’Mansion master bedroom, entrance porch,’ Lin Wan commanded internally, locking her mind onto the spatial coordinates.
A sudden, violent shift in atmospheric pressure slammed into them.
For a split second, the heavy, humid scent of the tropical jungle and wet mud vanished entirely, replaced by a perfectly regulated, crisp air-conditioned breeze that carried the faint aroma of fresh vanilla and expensive laundry detergent.
Upon entering the space, Lanying’s entire body went completely rigid. Her instincts as a Sea Sovereign immediately flared, and she instinctively tried to spread her immense spiritual sense outward to access the surrounding environment, intending to map the walls and calculate the distance of the perimeter.
But the moment her divine energy left her forehead, it hit an invisible, absolute ceiling.
The space didn’t just suppress her power; it completely absorbed it, refusing to let her spiritual consciousness pierce the structure of the house.
Sensing the complete block, Lanying quietly reached up and pulled the black blindfold down around her neck. She looked around the bright, pristine environment before her, her jaw tightening as she turned her head toward Lin Wan.
Lin Wan was already standing a few feet away, looking right back at her. The contrast between them was striking.
Lin Wan’s expression remained perfectly unreadable, cold and analytical like a seasoned commander waiting for a reaction, while Lanying’s elegant face was a vivid map of intense curiosity and sheer amazement.
She stared at the smooth, white drywall, the modern glass light fixtures casting a steady, hum-free glow from the ceiling, and the polished hardwood floors beneath her leather boots.
They said absolutely nothing to each other.
The silence between the two women was heavy, but it wasn’t hostile; it was the mutual understanding of two powerful minds recognizing a completely different set of rules.
Having landed directly in front of the interior front porch area that led to the spacious sitting room, Lin Wan turned toward the wide double doors.
She could hear a muffled, chaotic racket vibrating through the panels. Shaking her head, Lin Wan turned the modern brass handle and pushed the door open, only to be instantly shocked into a sudden, breathless fit of laughter at the absolute disaster zone before her eyes.
The triplets had evidently given Qin Mo and Long Zhan a relentless, non-stop series of traumatic shocks over the last few hours.
The scene in the center of the plush, modern sitting room was pure madness. Long Zhan, the terrifying, unyielding Lord of the Northern Peaks, was currently sitting flat on his butt on a luxurious velvet rug, completely surrounded by three wiggling, crying infants.
He was desperately trying to feed the boys using modern formula bottles he had clearly pulled from the kitchen counters, but his draconic reflexes were failing him entirely.
The moment he removed his massive, calloused hands from one boy to adjust the bottle of another, that specific boy would immediately twist his tiny human torso and start crying at the absolute top of his lungs.
Long Zhan only had two arms; he couldn’t physically feed three greedy, rapidly shifting cubs at the exact same time.
He was sweating so profusely that his long, dark bangs were glued to his forehead, his violet eyes wide with a level of panic he had never shown in battle.
He hadn’t even noticed the front door opening, nor had he sensed Lin Wan’s presence enter the room.
"Qin Mo!" Long Zhan roared toward the hallway, his voice cracking with sheer desperation as First Son began to wail. "Get out here right now, damn snake! I am running out of limbs! First Son is rejecting the angle, and Third Son is trying to chew on the rug again!"
Qin Mo’s voice instantly shouted back from the distant kitchen, accompanied by the loud, metallic clack of the refrigerator door slamming shut. "Sort out the cubs yourself, stinky dragon! I am currently trying to figure out how to use this square metal fire-box thing! I need to ensure that when Wanwan comes back to us, there will be hot food waiting for her!"
Hearing those words, a sudden, warm spark touched Lin Wan’s chest. Despite the absolute absurdity of their situation, the fact that the elegant Snake King was currently battling modern kitchen appliances just to ensure she had a meal after labor touched her deeply.
But her tender emotional bubble was violently burst in the next second.
"You come out here and handle these three little demons, and I’ll go cook the damn pork!" Long Zhan shouted back, his large shoulders shaking as Second Son let out a high-pitched mewl.
A loud, mocking scoff erupted from the kitchen. "Humph! You and I both know I am the vastly better cook, lizard! If you touch that metal stove, you will likely burn the entire structure down to ash! Stay there and do your duty!"
"So what if I burn it?!" Long Zhan shouted back, his draconic temper flaring.
The sheer volume of his deep, roaring voice instantly spooked the three wiggling cubs resting on the cushions.
The triplets froze, their tiny human faces wrinkling up as they began sniffling in unison, their little chests heaving as they prepared to let out a coordinated, house-shattering scream.
Panicking at the thought of all three crying at once, Long Zhan did the next best thing his desperate mind could calculate.
He leaned forward, grabbed the hard plastic bottom of one formula bottle directly in his mouth, clamping his teeth around it to keep it steady.
Then, using his left and right hands to hold the other two bottles, he bent his massive upper body completely in half over the rug, lowering the nipples into the mouths of the three boys simultaneously.
It was a thoroughly ridiculous, deeply unscientific, and completely hilarious sight.
The supreme ruler of the Northern Peaks was currently acting as a human bottle rack, hovering on all fours like a scolded beast.
Behind him, Lanying and Lin Wan couldn’t contain themselves anymore. Both women burst out into loud, genuine laughter that echoed brightly off the high ceilings of the sitting room.
Hearing the sudden laughter, Long Zhan froze. He slowly turned his head around, the bottle still clamped firmly between his teeth, and his violet eyes locked onto Lin Wan standing by the door beside a strange, elegant female in blue gauze.
His face went an instantaneous, brilliant beet red right up to the tips of his ears.
Long Zhan awkwardly spit the bottle out of his mouth, catching it clumsily in his palm as he scrambled to his feet, trying to smooth down his wrinkled clothes while maintaining a shred of his majestic dignity.
He looked as if he wanted the hardwood floor to open up and swallow him whole.
The three cubs, following Long Zhan’s sudden movement, shifted their tiny ocean-blue eyes toward the doorway. The moment their gaze landed on Lin Wan, their little wails ceased instantly.
They began to babble happily, their tiny human arms reaching up into the air as they squirmed toward her scent.
"Oh, my babies," Lin Wan murmured, her cold facade completely melting away.
It was the very first time she was actually holding them properly since the chaotic delivery on the bed.
She rushed across the room, dropping directly onto her knees on the soft rug.
She gathered all three of them into her arms, pressing her face against their soft, warm skin as she smooched everyone, kissing their cheeks, their foreheads, and their tiny wiggling toes until they let out soft, bubbly gurgles of delight.
Lanying walked forward slowly, her blue gauze dress rustling quietly against the floor boards.
She stopped a few feet away from the rug, her ocean-blue eyes locked onto the three human infants.
