I Got Cheated On and Ended Up in A Beast World
Chapter 87 - Eighty Seven: Satisfied Qin Mo
The courtyard outside the cottage was completely quiet after Lin Wan went back inside, but the tension was still very thick.
The old elders and high ministers from the Beast City stood in a tight group near the porch steps.
They kept whispering to each other, their long robes rustling as they moved around nervously.
Now that they knew King Qin Mo was alive and well, their greedy political minds turned to a new question: the royal babies. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
The Grand Elder stepped forward, his long white beard twitching.
He looked toward the closed cottage door with a lot of curiosity. Because the giant lightning storm during the birth had messed up their tracking magic
Qin Mo stood right at the top of the steps, his tall body completely blocking the front door.
The silver flags of his army fluttered behind him, but his face looked incredibly cold and dangerous.
The moment the Grand Elder took a step closer, Qin Mo’s eyes narrowed into angry slits..
"Your Majesty," the Grand Elder said, bowing so low his forehead almost touched the dirt to hide how nervous he was. "The army traveled a very long way across worlds to find you. According to the old laws of the Beast City, the ministers must officially check and bless the new royal babies to prove their bloodline. We humbly ask to see the cubs."
The air around the porch instantly became freezing cold. Qin Mo didn’t move an inch, and he didn’t look happy at all. He glared down at the kneeling elders.
"The babies are indoors," Qin Mo snapped, his voice so sharp it made the ministers jump. "They are too small and fragile to be brought out into the weather, and I will not let you pressure them with your heavy energy. If any of you tries to step across this door or asks me about this again, I will have you locked up for treason."
The Grand Elder swallowed hard and bowed even lower into the mud. "We deserve death, Your Majesty! We will not ask again!"
Inside the bedroom in the space, Lin Wan was sitting on the edge of the bed. She could hear every single word through her special senses. Her brain immediately started planning. She knew the elders were nosy, and staying out in this area was becoming dangerous for her kids.
"It’s time to pack up and return," Lin Wan said calmly, looking up.
she looked at the two males. "This village is too small for us now. If we want to keep the triplets completely safe and build a real base, we need to go to the center of power. We are moving to the Beast City."
Long Zhan grunted, crossing his arms. "Fine. The snake’s territory must have better walls anyway. But we can’t just leave this place helpless. The Orycto tribe needs protection."
Just then, word came from the village outside the space. The local females had finished gathering their things, and a message was passed through the guards: Ember was pregnant.
Lin Wan’s eyes widened slightly. Ember, one of the few friends Lin wan had was officially having her first child. In this tough world, a pregnancy was a huge deal for any tribe.
This was also a good thing, the fact that, before she left, something good finally happened to the Orycto tribesmen, after all it seems she had always dragged them into one situation or another.
" A cub," Long Zhan muttered, thinking it over. " Her males men are going to be completely stressed out trying to protect her now."
"We will split the soldiers," Lin Wan ordered, looking at her three sleeping boys in the crib. "Long Zhan, tell one of your strongest dragon warriors and let Qin Mo’s beastsoldiers, some will have to stay behind. They will live here and act as a royal guard to protect Ember and the other village females. The rest of the army will line up and guard our carriages on the long road to the Beast City."
Long Zhan smiled widely, loving how smart and protective his female was. "Consider it done, Wanwan. My men will turn this valley into an absolute fortress before we take a single step."
By the third evening of preparing for the trip, the scary military mood in the valley finally started to relax.
To stop the local village men from being terrified of his giant army, Qin Mo ordered a big bonfire party.
The soldiers built massive, roaring bonfires in the cleared fields outside the village gates, lighting up the dark night sky with bright orange sparks.
They dug big pits to roast wild meat, turning the air delicious with the scent of sizzling game. Heavy barrels of sweet berry wine were rolled out from the supply wagons, and Qin Mo told his elite soldiers to loosen up, take off their heavy armor, put away their spears, and go hang out with the locals.
The party changed the mood of the entire valley very quickly. The females and even some females from nearby tribes who had heard about the grand army, gathered around the bright fires. They looked at the tall, strong silver-armored soldiers with starry eyes.
The soldiers had been afraid about the fire at first, but seeing how the locals here didn’t fear it, they got used to it, but albeit still didn’t come to close.
These action of millions of beastmales from the northern region getting used to the presence of fire, set in motion of the northern region undergoing a tremendous shift, although it won’t be so fast, but it’ll soon b time when they won’t have such a deep aversion to fire.
In this world, a strong and rich partner meant a safe life. Many of the village females realized how rich and safe the Beast City must be compared to their quiet rural valley.
They started laughing, dancing, and flirting with the soldiers. They chatted happily by the fire, hoping to find a good mate among the beast-soldiers and move to the capital for a luxurious, stable life.
Standing by the village gate, the old Chief watched the young people laughing and drinking wine together.
His hands shook a little as he held his cup, his old heart finally feeling completely relieved.
What he thought was going to be a scary invasion had turned into a wonderful chance for his small tribe to get strong protection and good family matches.
The fields were alive with music, chatter, and the happy mixing of two completely different worlds.
While the valley was loudly partying, the cottage up on the hill was completely quiet.
Late on the fourth night, while the party drums were still beating loudly in the distance, Qin Mo quietly walked into the bedroom inside the space.
Long Zhan had finally gone down to the lower camps to organize the heavy marching rows for the morning, leaving a rare, golden moment for the two of them to be alone.
Qin Mo walked up to the bed. Without saying anything, he gently wrapped Lin Wan in her thick white fur coat.
He picked her up carefully in his arms and used his rarely used mental power to teleport them to a hidden spot he had found a few days ago.
A golden light swallowed them, and they slipped out completely unnoticed.
When Lin Wan opened her eyes, they were standing at the mouth of a hidden cave high up on the mountain ridge.
She looked down and gasped softly. Below the cave was a giant field of beautiful purple flowers.
Under the bright full moon, the petals actually glowed, moving softly in the wind like a sea of shining purple lights.
Inside the cave, where the cold wind couldn’t reach, Qin Mo had laid down many layers of the softest, thickest white animal furs to make a warm, comfortable bed.
He gently set Lin Wan down on the furs. He knelt in front of her, his long silver hair falling over his shoulders like shiny silk.
His eyes burned with a deep, liquid heat under the purple moonlight.
"Qin Mo," Lin Wan said softly.
"Wanwan," he whispered, his voice deep and warm. He reached out with shaking fingers, gently opening the collar of her fur coat to expose her bare skin to the cool, glowing light. "For days, everyone has been shouting around us. The elders want laws, the dragon wants to fight me for you, and the army wants a crown. But right here... there is only you."
His silver snake tail slid out from his robes, slowly curling around her ankles, pulling her close in a warm, gentle grip.
He leaned in, his lips tasting hers with a soft, desperate hunger that quickly grew into something intense and consuming.
The touch of his skin against hers felt like liquid silver, melting away the cold guard she always kept around her heart.
As they came together on the soft furs, it was a beautiful, overwhelming dance of souls.
It wasn’t wild or frantic like beasts; it was a deep, breathtaking embrace under the glow of the purple flowers.
His ancient sovereign essence flowed into her, wrapping around her inner core like a warm tide, finally settling the deep, spiritual bond between them completely.
In the middle of this beautiful, breathtaking moment, a sudden, hilarious thought popped straight into Qin Mo’s mind.
He imagined that arrogant lizard Long Zhan coming back to an empty bed, sniffing the blankets, and realizing he had been completely tricked.
The thought of the dragon’s face turning completely purple with rage made Qin Mo want to laugh out loud right against Lin Wan’s neck.
A small, victorious smirk curved his lips into her skin, making him hold his female even tighter, thoroughly enjoying the sweet taste of his secret victory.
A few hours later, as the purple flowers began to fade in the early morning light, the spatial rift opened again.
They slipped back into the cottage bedroom silently, long before the dragon could ever realize his nest had been raided.
On the morning of the fifth day, the giant city of leather tents was packed away by the millions of soldiers.
The long rows of heavily guarded royal carriages and armored soldiers lined up perfectly in the mountain passes, their weapons shining in the morning sun.
Deep inside the safe hidden space, the triplets were sleeping soundly with Lanying.
