I Got Cheated On and Ended Up in A Beast World
Chapter 91 - Ninety- One: Spring lake
Qin Mo proudly led the way up the elegant wooden steps to his exclusive floor, the third floor of his palace, his silver robes rustling softly against the polished timber.
He gestured with a sweeping, graceful wave of his hand toward a magnificent set of carved double doors at the end of the long corridor.
As he pushed the heavy doors open, a massive, stunning bedroom was revealed to them, meticulously styled with dark polished wood, soft silk drapes, and a large, incredibly comfortable bed.
It turned out that the moment Qin Mo knew they were finally going to the capital, he had sent his elite guards racing ahead of the caravan to make preparations.
This room was one of them, as he had ordered his craftsmen to perfectly emulate the exact, cozy layout of Lin Wan’s bedroom inside The space.
He had spent days thinking of how to give her the best comfort, wanting nothing more than to please her after her long journey.
Qin Mo smiled elegantly, gesturing around the lavish room as he turned to face Lin Wan with a doting expression. "Wanwan, this is our private chamber, prepared entirely for your rest. Since this is my house, now your house, you will naturally stay here with me on the top floor, where the breeze is sweet and completely private. The brute is merely a guest in my capital, so he will be staying far away in the smaller guest pavilions downstairs on the first floor." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"What did you just say, you slippery underhanded worm?" Long Zhan instantly stepped right between them, his violet eyes flashing with furious jealousy as he dropped his heavy traveling bags onto the polished floor with a loud, aggressive thud.
He puffed out his massive chest, glaring down at the silver-haired snake king with a heavy scowl. "A guest? I am Wanwan’s beasthusband too, you lizard-brained reptile! I’m not sleeping anywhere near the ground level while my female is all the way up here on the third floor!"
Qin Mo scoffed lightly, brushing an invisible speck of dust from his silk sleeve. "This is a house of refinement, dragon. Your loud, clumsy footsteps will only disturb Wanwan’s peace. Downstairs is exactly where a heavy brute like you belongs, so do not make me repeat myself."
"In your dreams, snake!" Long Zhan roared, baring his sharp fangs as he stepped closer into Qin Mo’s personal space. "I’m moving my thick mountain furs right into this room, and you can go sleep outside on the wooden steps! Wanwan, tell this useless worm that he doesn’t get to decide where we sleep! Tell him I am staying right here to protect you from any more wild foxes!"
Lin Wan looked at the beautifully prepared room, then at the two bickering kings who were already snarling at each other’s throats over the sleeping arrangements.
Her face remained completely expressionless, her cool gaze dropping to the heavy bags on the floor before she pointed a single, cold finger toward the hallway. "Both of you, get out. Take your bags and go find your own separate rooms downstairs on the first floor right now."
Qin Mo’s elegant smile froze, and his hands twitched anxiously as he looked at her deadpan face, desperately wanting to argue his case. "But Wanwan, I had them build this bed specifically to match your tastes! Look at the silk, it is the softest in the entire northern realm! Surely you wouldn’t kick the master of the house out of his own bedroom?"
"I just did," Lin Wan replied, her voice dropping into a firm, no-nonsense tone. "I am locking this door because I won’t be staying out here in this room often anyway. We are going inside to see the babies right now, and I don’t want to hear another single word from either of you about who owns what floor."
Long Zhan smirked triumphantly, even as he picked up his bags to leave. "Haha! Did you hear that, snake? She kicked you out too! If I can’t stay here, you can’t either! Move your tail, worm, let’s go find our rooms downstairs like good little guests!"
"Silence, you brainless lizard!" Qin Mo hissed back, his fangs flashing in frustration as he was forced to step out into the corridor alongside the smirking dragon king. "Do not speak to me as if we are equals!"
After forcefully pushing the two grumbling, submissive kings out into the corridor, Lin Wan firmly turned the iron lock on the heavy wooden door behind them.
With a swift, quiet flick of her mind, she opened a spatial rift and pulled both Qin Mo and Long Zhan directly into the warm, secure environment of The space.
The heavy silence of the palace bedroom vanished instantly, replaced by the loud, chaotic thumping of tiny, frantic paws scrambling across the floorboards.
The three Snow white chubby and very much cute and soft cub, had fully broken out of their sleeping baskets.
They were currently running completely amok across the room in their cute, fluffy silver leopard forms. Lin Wan gasped as a tiny streak of silver fur darted directly between her ankles, nearly tripping her over.
"Oh! Catch them before they tear up the soft rugs! It seems they’ve completely outgrown their cribs, they grow so fast!"
"First child! Second Child! Third Child!Stop running this instant!" Qin Mo dropped straight down onto his knees, his majestic sovereign pride completely evaporating as he frantically tried to herd the tumbling balls of fur away from the furniture. "Wait, little ones! Do not bite your Uncle’s clothe! Wanwan, look at them, they are so fast! and also don’t listen to me"
Long Zhan laughed boisterously, his massive chest shaking with pure, unadulterated amusement as he stepped forward and easily caught one cub by the scruff of its neck. "Haha! Look at these boys go! They don’t care about your fancy ribbons, snake! They’ve got the true, wild strength of the leopard clan’s lineage, Wanwan! They don’t have a single lazy bone in them! Come here, you little troublemakers!"
The other two silver leopard cubs instantly saw the giant dragon king as a perfect climbing tree, scrambling up his thick leather boots and settling onto his massive shoulders with high-pitched, playful yips.
"See that, Wanwan?" Long Zhan bragged, turning around so she could see the cubs clinging to his hair. "They know a real warrior when they see one! They like me much better than the slippery worm!"
"They are merely using you as a scratching post, brute," Qin Mo countered smoothly, though his hands were still full trying to gently coax the third cub away from a wooden trunk. "Do not flatter yourself. They will ruin your thick hide soon enough."
Lin Wan sat down on the plush edge of the mattress, a soft smile finally breaking through her cold expression as she scooped the most hyperactive silver cub into her lap.
The little leopard bubbled happily at the mouth, his tiny claws digging playfully into her palms while his silver tail wagged back and forth like a fast pendulum.
Qin Mo and Long Zhan quickly sat cross-legged on the floor in front of her, completely covered in loose silver fur and baby drool, waiting with bated breath.
"From today on, they will officially take my surname, and we will use these cute nicknames to address them," Lin Wan announced softly, booping the oldest cub gently on his wet nose. "The oldest is Lin Jue, but we will call him Xiao Jue. The second child is Lin Rui, and his nickname is Xiao Rui. The youngest is Lin Chen, and we will call him Xiao Chen."
Qin Mo was deeply touched by the sight, his silver eyes shining with a soft, warm affection as he reached out to pet the second cub. "Lin Jue, Lin Rui, and Lin Chen... carrying your surname is their greatest honor, Wanwan. It sounds absolutely perfect. Xiao Rui, come here to your Uncle and stop chewing on that table leg. Your mother just gave you a beautiful name, you have to behave yourself."
"Let the boy chew whatever he wants!" Long Zhan grunted, reaching out to pat Xiao Chen on the head. "They are growing their teeth, snake! They need to bite things to become strong! Isn’t that right, Xiao Chen? You’re going to be a fierce warrior just like your father Long Zhan!"
’Father? Since when?!’ Qin Mo missed inwardly
The little cub, Xiao Rui, let out a tiny, high-pitched leopard hiss, ignoring Qin Mo’s hand entirely as he leaned forward and bit the snake king’s elegant finger with his sharp baby teeth.
Long Zhan threw his head back and roared with laughter, slapping his knee so hard the floorboards vibrated. "Pfft! Hahaha! Good boy, Xiao Rui! Bite the slippery worm! He thinks he’s a noble master in his big palace, but you already know he’s just a perfect target for your growing teeth!"
"You unmannered little reptile," Qin Mo muttered under his breath, though he didn’t pull his finger away, letting the cub chew on his knuckle while looking up at Lin Wan to show his endless patience. "He is quite fierce today, Wanwan. He clearly has a lot of energy after the journey."
Lanying sat comfortably in her rocking chair nearby, her beautiful, blue eyes shining with absolute joy and pride as she watched the lively, chaotic family circus unfold.
Lin Wan stood up and approached. "Lanying, thank you for watching over them during the final stretch. Is everything inside
The space to your liking? Do you need anything else?"
Lanying nodded warmly, a wide, loving smile gracing her face as she gestured toward the three silver cubs who were now playfully chasing each other’s tails around Long Zhan’s giant legs. "Everything is absolutely perfect, Wanwan. You have brought so much life to this old female’s eyes. I have never felt more comfortable. But remember, these sweet boys are special hybrids; they are leopards and mermaids all at once, and their traits must be balanced correctly."
"What do you mean by balanced, Mother Lanying?" Long Zhan asked, suddenly looking serious as he held Xiao Chen carefully in his massive hands. "They look like perfectly strong little leopards to me. Are they missing something?"
The old female pointed a trembling finger toward the screen of the palace memory outside. "They are thriving in their leopard forms, yes, but their other sides need nourishment too. You should take Xiao Jue, Xiao Rui, and Xiao Chen to the natural spring lake right behind the house later today. The thick, pure aquatic energy in that water will perfectly fill and awaken their mermaid side, ensuring their young bodies grow strong and balanced in all three forms."
"Lady Lanying speaks the truth," Qin Mo agreed instantly, dropping his petty bickering as he nodded submissively toward the elder.
"The spring lake behind the house is good, The water is incredibly pure and clean. It will be highly beneficial for their Other bloodline to nourish there."
"For once, the snake actually makes sense," Long Zhan muttered, standing up with a cub still perched happily on each of his shoulders. "Let’s go right now, Wanwan! I want to see my boys swim! I bet they can swim faster than any lazy snake can slither!"
Lin Wan looked down at her three rowdy, purring silver sons, a rare sense of peaceful anticipation settling over her as she prepared for the next task. "We will go to the Spring lake as soon as they settle down and eat"
