Chapter 93: Chapter Ninety-Three

The three little cuties were completely spent, their eyes drooping heavily as they let out tiny, exhausted sighs, burying their wet noses deep into her clothes. "Tomorrow, both of you are going to help me clean up all the mud you splashed near the mansion. Let’s get them inside to rest; they need to sleep off all this energy."

Qin Mo and Long Zhan quickly climbed out of the spring lake, completely soaking wet and still throwing silent, childish glares at each other behind her back.

Yet, the moment they fell into step on either side of Lin Wan, their expressions turned fiercely protective, their eyes scanning the secure boundaries of The space like loyal guardians.

The small, chaotic family unit walked slowly back toward the warmth of the mansion, the heavy silence of the evening punctuated only by the deep, contented purring of the three sleeping silver cubs.

Back inside the cozy kitchen of the grand mansion, the heavy atmosphere of the outside world felt millions of miles away.

The three chubby silver leopard cubs were tucked safely away in their soft bedding inside the master room, sleeping so deeply that their tiny snores could be heard from the hallway.

Lin Wan stood by the large stone hearth, deciding to prepare some modern delicacies using the high grade ingredients stored inside the store to celebrate their first successful day in Beast City’s capital.

It didn’t take long for her quiet cooking session to be completely invaded by her two overbearing, overly eager beast husbands.

Qin Mo had smoothly tied a ridiculously bright pink apron around his slender waist, floating around the kitchen with elegant precision as he checked the temperature of the stone oven.

"Wanwan, please step back from the flames, the smoke might irritate your eyes. I have already infused the firewood with mild spiritual herbs to ensure the pastry bakes evenly and carries a sweet fragrance."

He smiled dotingly, completely unbothered by how absurd the domestic apron looked against his majestic, noble snake-king aura.

"Move out of the way, snake, you’re hovering like a annoying insect!" Long Zhan roared from the other side of the kitchen, his massive hands completely covered in white flour as he aggressively slammed a huge lump of dough onto the wooden table.

He was using so much brute strength that the heavy table groaned under his fists, sending a small cloud of white powder into the air.

"Wanwan, look at this! Is this enough kneading? This flour stuff is harder to fight than a rogue beast from the outer ridges! Look, I accidentally snapped the wooden rolling pin in half again!"

Qin Mo pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a sharp, irritated hiss as he stared at the flour-covered dragon.

"You uncultured, clumsy reptile... you are supposed to gently roll the dough, not execute it on a chopping block. You have gotten white powder over the clean stone floors and into my hair. Wanwan, please allow me to banish this brainless brute from the kitchen before he brings the entire ceiling down on our heads."

Lin Wan sighed, shaking her head with an amused smile as she deftly took a tray of perfectly shaped pastries and slid them into the oven.

"Long Zhan, stop using your explosive dragon aura on the baking ingredients, you’re going to make the bread taste like iron. Qin Mo, keep an eye on the crust; if it burns, both of you are going to spend the entire night scrubbing the soot off these walls."

Her words instantly brought peace to the kitchen, with Long Zhan submissively wiping his hands on a towel and Qin Mo turning back to the oven with absolute focus.

Within an hour, the rich, mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked treats and roasted spiritual meat completely filled the grand dining hall on the first floor of the mansion.

Lin Wan, Lanying, Qin Mo, and Long Zhan all sat together around the long, polished wooden table, sharing the hot meal like a true, unified family.

Lanying sat gracefully in her chair, her striking, beautiful blue eyes shining with absolute tranquility and deep joy as she watched the lively circus unfolding right in front of her.

The two fierce, world renowned supreme kings were currently competing like eager children to pile the absolute best cuts of meat onto Lin Wan’s plate. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Wanwan, try this piece, it is the tenderest cut and completely free of fat," Qin Mo murmured smoothly, using his chopsticks to place a delicately seasoned slice of meat right onto her dish.

"I personally selected it to help your physical energy recover after the long, tiring march to the capital. Do not eat those heavy, burnt lumps that the dragon threw into the fire."

Long Zhan bared his fangs, angrily shoving a massive, heavily sweetened pastry onto her plate, nearly knocking Qin Mo’s dish over in the process.

"Eat this instead, Wanwan! It’s packed with sugar, and sugar gives you real muscle and strength, not like those bitter weeds the snake keeps feeding you! Don’t listen to his fancy talk, a real female needs solid food to stay healthy!"

Lin Wan looked down at her plate, which was now piled so high with food that she could barely see the ceramic pattern underneath. She bit into a small piece of the pastry, a rare, soft warmth settling in her chest as she looked across the table.

"The food is perfect, both of you. Stop fighting before you knock the tea over. Lanying, how do you like the spiritual tea from the capital’s reserve, that Qin Mo brought it? Is the taste very different from what we had back in the valley? "

Lanying chuckled beautifully, her stunning blue eyes crinkling with deep warmth as she took a slow, elegant sip from her cup.

"The tea is absolutely wonderful, sweet Wanwan. But truth be told, the company is what makes it taste so sweet. This female has lived a long time, yet I have never seen two terrifying, invincible kings look so completely submissive and eager to please before a single female. Honestly I’m quite jealous of your luck."

The mention of the future and the cubs caused the playful, bickering atmosphere around the table to slowly shift, grounding them in the reality of their situation.

Even though The space was a safe haven, the outside world of the Beast Capital was crawling with political danger, and rivals, the Red Fox clan, and high elders who were constantly watching their every move.

Qin Mo’s expression gradually turned deadly serious, his posture straightening into that of a cold, unyielding sovereign as he set his teacup down.

"The High Elders will undoubtedly try to use any rumor of the cubs to create friction within the court. But I swear to you, Wanwan, I will execute anyone who dares to even look toward this mansion with malice."

Long Zhan slammed his heavy palm against the table, his violet eyes flashing with a ruthless, protective dragon light that could make lesser beasts drop dead from sheer terror.

"Let those old bastards try anything! and I will personally flatten this entire capital if anyone breathes a single word against you or my boys! We were there the night they were born, Wanwan. They are our sons now, and we will protect them with our lives, they don’t need Wang, me and that Damned snake is enough for them"

Lin Wan looked at both of them, her heart deeply touched by their fierce, unwavering loyalty to her and the children of her late beast-husband. "I know you both will. Thank you for standing by my side through this."

Once the meal was completely finished, Long Zhan and Qin Mo reluctantly excused themselves, heading downstairs toward the lower pavilions to finally unpack their heavy traveling luggage that had to be visible to the outside world and check on the palace guards stationed outside.

The bustling energy of the dining hall dissolved into a quiet, peaceful silence, leaving only Lin Wan and Lanying sitting together under the soft, ambient glow of the floating spiritual crystals.

Lanying’s beautiful blue eyes slowly lost their playful, teasing warmth, turning deeply serious and solemn as she reached across the polished wood to gently take Lin Wan’s hands in her own.

Lin Wan immediately noticed the sudden, heavy shift in the elder female’s demeanor, her brow furrowing slightly as she leaned closer.

"Lanying? What’s wrong? You look incredibly worried all of a sudden. Is something not to your liking with your room, or is The space’s energy making you uncomfortable?"

Lanying shook her head slowly, her striking blue eyes staring intensely into Lin Wan’s, her grip on her hands tightening with an urgent, heavy gravity. "No, sweet girl, everything inside this house is absolutely perfect. But now that the two kings have finally left the room, we must speak privately, female to female, about the true nature of your triplets."

Lanying’s voice dropped into a hushed, barely audible whisper as she glanced toward the closed doors, delivering a chilling warning that left the air heavy with tension.
