I Have Infinite Skill Points - Chapter 669: Locking onto the Target

Wang Lan had integrated Xiao Ai into the Skynet System. He was skeptical about the Skynet computer's processing ability, but Xiao Ai's cloud data processing capabilities were very advanced. Given enough hardware, Xiao Ai could place all of humanity under surveillance.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP—"

The next day at noon, an alarm suddenly sounded on Wang Lan's phone. Upon checking, he saw Xiao Ai had used Skynet to lock onto a suspect at a curry rice restaurant in Yunying Life Square.

"Get ready to move!" Wang Lan quickly stood, donned his combat suit, and gave the order.

Noon at Yunying Life Square was packed, mostly with nearby white-collar workers on their lunch break. Apparently, high-paying tech companies didn't arrange work meals or anything similar.

Four or five black sedans sped into Yunying, screeching to a halt.

Several security guards noticed the cars blocking the entrance and exit of Yunying Life Square. They stood up, intending to drive them away. However, upon seeing Wang Lan and the others emerge from the vehicles, the guards instantly recoiled, decisively turning away as if they hadn't seen a thing.

Upon entering the square, Wang Lan and Jiang Xinyu took the elevator while the others quickly climbed the stairs. Many people in the square watched Wang Lan's group curiously, whispering in twos and threes.

At the restaurant entrance, a staff member hurried over, beaming a welcoming smile.

"Welcome! How many in your party?"

"We're looking for someone."

After entering, Wang Lan made a beeline for table number seven. Perhaps it was a coincidence, or perhaps Moses had a particular obsession with the number seven; he had sat at table number seven last time and was doing so again.

Wang Lan sat directly opposite Moses, took his identification from his jacket, and placed it on the table. The middle-aged man across from him merely flicked an eyelid up, glanced at the identification, and silently continued his meal.

Just then, a commotion started in the restaurant. Tianjian Bureau special agents entered and began evacuating all the patrons. The restaurant owner opened his mouth to speak but ultimately said nothing.

"Don't worry," one of the agents said to the owner. "We're just evacuating the guests, not letting them escape. We'll try not to affect your business. Tianjian Bureau will reimburse you for any losses."

"Oh, okay, thank you..."

The middle-aged man continued to eat leisurely, finishing all the food on his table before contentedly patting his belly.

"Jade Country's Greedy Wolf, you truly live up to your reputation. The Saint Heir is dead, Sony fell by your hand, and now even I am your captive. But there's one thing I don't understand: I believed my Disguise Skill was unparalleled. How did you see through it?"

Wang Lan glanced down at the plate on the table. Realization dawned on Moses, and he chuckled softly.

"I am from India. Although I betrayed my country, I still harbor an indelible affection for it. That, perhaps, is the greatest flaw in my Disguise Skill. I know I'm no match for you. Do what you must."

"Where is Yulia?"

"The True God needs her, so naturally, she is by the True God's side."

"Where is Lucifer?"

"You think I can't read your mind if you don't speak?" Wang Lan said, placing a palm on Moses's forehead. "Sha Qiya is dead. The Skill Form in your minds should be gone, shouldn't it?"

"Sha Qiya's death only changed how the Skill Form is triggered; it doesn't mean it no longer exists. If I wish, I can still activate it at any time."

"BOOM—"

With a loud bang, Moses's head exploded without warning. Splattered brain matter and blood formed a cloud of crimson mist, frozen in midair. Wang Lan slowly stood. The blood mist before him coalesced into a sphere, which he gently carried to the trash can and disposed of.

"General Wang, he..."

"He was ruthless with others and even more so with himself. I always believed the Paradise Bird members were so fearless of death due to the Skill Form's control. I never expected Moses would rather die than cooperate." Wang Lan sighed deeply. It seemed Yulia might not be retrievable after all.

Just as he was about to turn, Wang Lan suddenly paused.

"Hm? What's this?" Wang Lan crouched beside Moses's corpse, examining the black residue under the man's shoe.

"This looks like coal dust."

"Have it analyzed thoroughly. We need to determine his origin."

The Tianjian Bureau sprang into action. An hour later, the latest report lay on Wang Lan's desk.

"General Wang, this is unprocessed mineral coal dust. Huzhou has seventeen coal mines, and the closest one to our current location is on Heiyun Mountain."

"How far is it?"

"Eighty kilometers as the crow flies."

"We've found it!" Wang Lan shot to his feet. "Chief Liu, request immediate support from the Five Emperors from our superiors! We're heading there first."

"General Wang, are you certain that's where Lucifer and the Demon Clan spies have their base?"

"Why else would Moses go to desolate Heiyun Mountain? Besides, I have a strong hunch they're all there."

Wang Lan, Jiang Xinyu, Liu Yuxin, and a group of Tianjian Bureau elite experts departed immediately. News of Moses's death wouldn't stay secret for long; if alerted, their enemies might evacuate again.

Heiyun Mountain was insignificant compared to other mountains in Huzhou, boasting only three solitary peaks. Yet, it had been famous since ancient times because the entire mountain range was a coal deposit. The mixture of pitch-black coal and hard rock formed these three dark peaks.

As a coal mountain, it should have been heavily mined until depleted. However, such isolated black mountains are rare, and Jade Country has no shortage of coal, so it has been preserved since ancient times.

Upon entering Heiyun Mountain's territory, Wang Lan's eyes snapped open. Instantly, his pupils turned blood-red, two pinwheels spinning within them.

Divine Might was a Space Power, making him extremely sensitive to spatial fluctuations. Under the gaze of his Kaleidoscope Vision, no place with spatial fluctuations could remain hidden.

"Found it!" Wang Lan exclaimed, accelerating towards the target. A group of men in security uniforms stood guard outside the entrance to the Different Dimensional Space.

When Wang Lan and his group landed, the uniformed men, wielding batons, stepped forward as if to reprimand them. However, as Liu Yuxin and the other Tianjian Bureau special agents also landed, the guards realized they were exposed. They instantly dropped their pretense and transformed into Demon Clan spies.

"Night Falling Snow!" Jiang Xinyu cried softly. A cold current instantly swept out, and she transformed into a vortex of frigid air, swiftly passing the five charging Demon Clan spies.

WHOOSH—

A chill wind swept past. The ferocious Demon Clan spies, who had been charging forward, suddenly froze mid-stride as if struck by a petrification spell. Jiang Xinyu's figure had already reappeared behind them.

The Frost Sword in her hand slowly dissolved into drifting snowflakes. A series of CRACKLING sounds followed, and the spies all shattered into ice fragments, utterly destroyed.

Face solemn, Wang Lan walked step by step towards the spatial rift. It was enveloped by some kind of sealing Skill Form, presumably to prevent its spatial fluctuations from being detected.

"I'll go in first," Wang Lan said. "If there's any danger, I'll retreat immediately. If I don't, you all come in."

With that, Wang Lan's figure flashed and entered the space. Outside, Jiang Xinyu and the others waited a few seconds, then also leaped into the spatial rift one by one, disappearing from sight.

It was a blood-red, ruined world. The ground beneath their feet was riddled with deep cracks. The terrifying, chaotic landscape alone was enough to send shivers down one's spine.

The sky was red, the world was red, but the earth was black. Apart from Wang Lan, Jiang Xinyu, and Liu Yuxin, the other Tianjian Bureau agents felt a physical discomfort the moment they entered.

Wang Lan turned to the agents. "You all head out first."

"General, we..."

"Don't force it. The air here is filled with something that affects the mind. Prolonged exposure will undoubtedly drive you mad. Go back out, secure the entrance, and brief the Five Emperors' experts when they arrive. Chief Liu, Xinyu, let's move!"

"ROAR—"

Suddenly, a mournful cry echoed. From beneath the ground, numerous gruesome, scaled hands, resembling those of humans, clawed their way out.

Before these creatures could fully emerge, Wang Lan unleashed an Earth Surge Lava attack.

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Lava flowed across the ground. Yet these terrifying creatures seemed unharmed, swimming through the molten rock as if it were water. They were incredibly fast, moving like afterimages. One shot towards Liu Yuxin, its fist aimed straight for his face.

Liu Yuxin crossed his arms, hastily activating a defensive Star Martial Skill.

"BOOM—"

A terrifying force struck. The defensive Star Martial Skill shattered instantly, and Liu Yuxin was sent flying backward.

Shock was frozen on Liu Yuxin's face. He stared in disbelief at the frantically screaming monster that had struck him. I'm a peak Star Sea realm Star Martial Warrior! Even without an honorary title, my strength is comparable to those who have one!

How could a random humanoid creature shatter my defense and send me flying? How could it be so strong? More and more of these creatures were continuously clawing their way out from deep underground.

Are the three of us going to die here?

"ROAR—"

Having landed a hit, the creature roared and lunged at Liu Yuxin again, its claws aiming for his face. Instantly, a shadow flitted past. The creature's roar died abruptly as it froze mid-air, then slowly split in two.

Wang Lan appeared beside Liu Yuxin. "Old Liu, been a while since you last trained?"

"I just wasn't prepared," Liu Yuxin mumbled, his face flushing red. As a peak Star Sea realm expert, being nearly killed instantly... it's too embarrassing.

Wang Lan's stance lowered slightly. His figure blurred and vanished from Liu Yuxin's sight. He moved with ghostly speed, like a flickering stream of light. In mere seconds, he flashed hundreds of times, each flicker accompanied by the death of a monster at his blade.

Against a speed-focused expert like Wang Lan, numbers were meaningless. No matter how many creatures there were, they couldn't withstand hundreds of kills per second.

In just one minute, the ground was littered with corpses. Against so many monsters, even a ten-thousand-strong Star Martial Army legion might have been wiped out. Even the elite Vermilion Bird Squad might not have survived.

But this time, Wang Lan alone was enough.

"Now I'm even more certain Lucifer is here," Wang Lan said. "And perhaps the Demon God Blood Pool as well."

"Let's go."

The three set off once more. In the distance, a solitary peak pierced the heavens. The Demonic Qi surging from it, like beacon smoke, guided Wang Lan. He's there. They're all there.
