Eleven Days Later

"Haa!! I win!! For the next two days, I want you both to follow my every command!!" The silver-haired girl turned her face in triumph, earning a groan from Raiden and Morgana both.

All three people have been playing cards for the day, with stakes stacked high.

Whoever lost the card game had to follow every command of the winner for the next two days, no matter how absurd it was.

"It’s not fair, I say!! Both of you have teamed up against me!! I demand a rematch." Raiden demanded with an indignant expression on his face.

"Hehehe, stupid big brother!! There is no such thing as a rematch. Just accept your loss gracefully, don’t lose face in front of the President." Sylvia gloated triumphantly as she looked at her big brother.

She had gotten home last night to spend the weekend at home, and to her surprise, she found her school president staying at her house!!

A thousand types of absurd scenarios started running through her mind as soon as she saw her, like being kidnapped, blackmailed, or knocked up.

The more she thought about it, the more frightened she got, thinking it was over for her and her little family. Her brother had finally committed a crime in desperation, and now all of their family will go to jail for his crime.

Thankfully, Raiden walked in at that moment, explaining the situation with Morgana chipping in on the side, clearing her misunderstanding.

After that, both girls have gotten along really well and even formed an alliance against Raiden.

"Fine, fine!! You win this time!! But next time, I’ll win, and I’ll make you clean all the toilets!! Just wait and see!!" Raiden fired back.

"That will never happen, now go and cook something tasty for us!! I am feeling like Falafel!! Go!!" Raiden rolled up his sleeves in anger, before going to the kitchen.

Seeing his disappear behind the door while muttering something under his breath, both girls looked at each other before bursting into laughter,

"President, your idea for this game was brilliant!! Now we can make that stupid big brother of mine serve us for the next two days and live like a king!!" Sylvia spoke with excitement.

"Hey!! I heard that!!" An angry voice echoed out from the kitchen.

"Good!!! I wanted you to hear that!! What can you do about it?!!" Sylvia fired back without missing a beat.

"Hehe, alright, let’s not push him too hard now, Sylvia. Who knows when he might snap and not do anything at all." Morgana replied in a small voice with a smile.

"He dares to go back on his words?! Don’t worry about that, President, as if he dares to do so, I will tell Aunt he has been bullying me. Let me tell you a secret." Sylvia lowered her voice and looked around her as if checking for eavesdroppers before whispering in Morgana’s ear.

"You know, my brother has actually been single for his whole life! If you ever want to push him down, I will support you as a sister-in-law!! Go for it!! He is the type of guy who will follow your every command. I know you like him~" She whispered in her ear, making Morgana’s entire face turn red.

"You little brat, you dare to tease me!! Just wait, see how I take care of you!!" Morgana lunged at Sylvia furiously, and started tickling her sides.

"Hehehehe, stop it!! Stop it, sister-in-law!!" Sylvia called out in between laughter.

"You still dare to call me sister-in-law?! Watch how I take care of you!!" Morgana redoubled her efforts, leaving Sylvia as a giggling mess.

Sylvia found a chance and ran away, causing Morgana to chase after her.

"Girls, heh~" Raiden, who was preparing food in the kitchen, shook his head and got back to preparing food.

The number of people in his house increased a lot, and so did the amount of food they needed to consume. Due to this, he had been gaining proficiency in cooking rapidly.

After dinner, both Raiden and Morgana took a walk in the night together, looking at the peaceful meadows in silence.

Ever since she came here, it has become their daily ritual. After dinner, they took a walk in nature together, just the two of them.

Seeing Morgana not speaking, Raiden didn’t say anything either, enjoying the comfortable silence.

He glanced at her face from the corner of his eyes and was instantly taken in by it.

She had set her hair free for the evening, as they floated in the air behind her softly, with the moonlight directly falling onto her.

She had no makeup on her face, just a small smile as she looked in the distance, which somehow made her look even more beautiful under the moonlight.

For a second, Raiden forgot about everything else and got mesmerised by the sight.

’So beautiful~’

"Thank you, Raiden."

"Huh?!"

Morgana turned towards him as she smiled, with her eyes turning into crescent moons.

"I said thank you, Raiden. Thank you for taking me in."

Looking at her face, Raiden’s heart started to beat really, really fast.

He took a deep breath, trying to control himself as he spoke.

"I didn’t really do anything. Why are you thanking me for? Besides, I took you in because of your money. You don’t need to thank me." He turned his face forward, trying to avoid looking at her.

"Hehehe, whatever the reason was, you still took me in when I had nowhere else to go. That is enough for me." An amused smile appeared on her face as she saw him getting flustered.

"I never told you the real reason why I ran away from home, did I?"

"So you did run away from home!! I was right!!" Raiden exclaimed.

"You are focusing on the wrong thing here!! I am confessing my heartfelt feelings, okay?! Just shut up and listen!!" Morgana snapped at him, instantly making him quiet.

"You know, how Cinder suffered such a serious injury in the match, right?? Well, as soon as we got back home, we were thrown into different kinds of hospitals and doctors. We were locked up in a small hospital room, eating drugs and running tests every day. And I had nobody to talk to during that time. I haven’t seen my dad for the past two years, and my mom and grandpa are always busy with work. It felt really suffocating, staying in that gloomy place all by myself. I was really, really, lonely, ya know..."

Raiden didn’t say anything, just listening to her silently.

"And you know what was worse?? The treatment wasn’t working. Cinder didn’t get better at all. If anything, both she and I felt even more suffocated staying at that place. So I ran away from home!! I had no other place to go or no idea what to do. But you still took us into your home in a heartbeat and treated us like family. Thank you for that."

Morgana stopped in the middle of the clearing as she stood in front of Raiden, making his heart skip a beat.

"You know, these past few days, they have been the happiest days of my life. I never felt so free in the past. Raiden, I..." Morgana closed her eyes as she moved closer to him.

Seeing the absolutely flawless face get close and feeling the hot breath on his face, Raiden’s heart started thumping so loudly he felt like it might leap out of his chest!!

Just as their lips were about to touch...

"Oh no!! What is that!! I think Sylvia is calling me!! I-I’ll come back later!!"

"Raiden!!! You—!! Such a blockhead!!"
