After a lot of convincing, both mother and daughter were finally able to calm Old Man Sol down.

Raiden, meanwhile, just made himself scarce and started to churn out dish after dish of food, fantastic-looking food.

By now, all the guests had already arrived and started mingling around, forming groups of their own.

"The food is here, everyone, dig in!!" Raiden’s shout attracted the attention of everyone as they all formed around the table, looking curiously at the food.

The first group was the youngest one, formed completely of girls.

It had Sylvia and her two little friends: Cindy and Iris, with Morgana and Aria following behind them.

"Wow, I didn’t know you could cook so well, Sylvia’s big brother. Do you maybe want to~" Iris clapped a hand over Cindy’s mouth as she glanced at Morgana, who was giving her a cold look.

"Hehehe." Cindy also realised her mistake as she gave a sheepish glance at the student council president. The fear of being dominated by her in school was still present in the hearts of these three girls.

Aria, on the other hand, had no such thoughts as she was happily eating the food.

"Wow, little brother. You are such a great cook! It’s better than the chefs I have at home. How did you learn to cook such amazing meals? Did you go to culinary school or something?"

"Hehe, Nothing like that. It is all just part of my natural talent, ya know. I can’t really help it. No matter what kind of things I choose to do, I somehow end up becoming the best at that." Hearing Raiden boast like this, Sylvia and Morgana immediately gave him looks filled with disdain.

"Oh?? So why didn’t that talent blossom in the school where you almost failed to graduate??" An amused voice rang out from behind him, causing Raiden to choke on his drink and turn back.

From that side, three mature beauties were walking together, each looking striking in their own ways.

Yuna, who spoke with an amused smile on her face, was twirling a champagne glass in her hands as she threw a contemptuous glance at him.

"Now, now, don’t be so hard on Mr Raiden. He is successfully running a business these days, after all. Even though he is over 100 million in debt and doesn’t know how to make proper Terra Blocks, he is still a successful businessman nonetheless."

Raiden felt a few invisible arrows go through his heart every time Maple spoke, causing a strained smile to appear on his face.

"Oh my dear son-in-law~, are you feeling okay? Do you want me to call Father here to check on you? He is an excellent doctor. I’m sure he will take good care of you." Isadora had a devilish smile as she spoke.

"Ahem, don’t mind that, ladies. Please try the food I made, I am sure it will blow you away."

"Oh?? Are you that confident?" Yuna picked up a small plate before taking a slice of pizza, folding the tip elegantly, and eating it.

As soon as she did, her eyes lit up. She wasn’t able to stop herself from picking up another piece of food and eating it.

Just as she was enjoying it, she felt a peculiar gaze fall upon her, causing her to turn around and freeze in her tracks.

"Ahem, not bad. You are barely considered average in cooking. I’ve had much better food elsewhere." Despite saying so, she did not stop eating, causing Raiden to smile with amusement.

Intrigued by her reaction, both Maple and Isadora also tried different foods. Their eyes lit up at the taste.

"Well, how is it, Mom? It’s good, isn’t it?" Morgana lifted her head with pride.

"No wonder he was able to swindle you away. It was due to this delicious food, huh."

"No, that’s not it, he didn’t swindle me away, I..." Morgana’s face turned red as she tried to defend herself.

Raiden felt like he wasn’t safe while staying here, so he picked up two bowls of ramen and peanuts. He toasted them with some spices before bringing them to the table, which was a little further away from the crowd.

Over there, two old men sat in front of each other, drinking whisky they had produced themselves, talking casually.

"I say, my granddaughter is the best, she created a handcrafted scarf for me to wear in the winter, see!!" Old Man Tobias showed off a new red and white scarf, causing Old Man Sol to scowl.

"Bullshit, my granddaughter is clearly better, she brought this rare 100-year-old whisky for me from Archon City. The gift from your granddaughter doesn’t even compare."

"Tch, Tch, Tch. It’s not about the value of the gift; it’s about the thoughts and efforts they put into it. Your granddaughter is clearly more interested in that guy than you. You are not even her favourite person anymore! Hahaha!!"

"You—" Old Man Sol slammed the table and stood up, glaring at Tobias, who just smirked in reply.

Just as they were about to get more heated, Raiden interrupted them with a cough, causing both of them to turn and glare at him.

"What?!"

"Food!! I bet you guys must be getting pretty hungry, so I brought some food over for you. Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen, and some snacks for the drinks. Please enjoy." Raiden quickly put the food in front of them, causing old man Sol to glare at him.

"Humph. Take it away, I don’t want to eat anything made by your hands!!"

"Why? Are you scared of eating spicy food in your old age? Maybe it will cause you to finally kick the bucket!!" Tobias teased from the side. This young man had finally reunited him with his granddaughter, so the least he could do was help him with this stubborn old man.

"Who is scared of who, you old fogey, bring it on!!"

Just like that, Old Man Sol was baited into eating the food as both of them competed against each other.

Just as Raiden was about to flatter his great-grandfather-in-law, another hum sounded from overhead as a sleek-looking silver object appeared on top of his head once again.

"Morgana, my love!! I am here for you!!!"
