I Just Wanted to Raise My Son... Why Is Everyone Challenging Me?
Chapter 12: The Black Order.
But out of nowhere, a dark purple coloured mana started circling the dead body of the beast. The mana stopped at the tiger’s severed neck before slowly flowing into the corpse through the cut.
After a few moments, a strange tiger’s head began forming from the wound. It looked identical to the white tiger’s original head, except its fur was deep purple, while its eyes radiated immense bloodlust.
Kael read the movements of the tiger carefully. "The mana affinity of this beast rose from five-star to six. And the mana which I’m sensing through that head of its is that of dark mages."
Kael looked at Stephan, who was still on the ground, trying to get a hold of his body. "You know anything about this?"
"A-about what?"
"Such a fool." "Regarding the current situation."
Stephan’s gaze travelled towards the beast, and his body froze the moment he noticed the purple mana that was swirling around it. "That... that’s the doing of The Black Order."
"The Black Order? Whatever it is, I still don’t have enough time to spare on this beast."
The newly corrupted tiger lunged at Kael before he could do anything; the tiger’s fangs were almost able to reach Kael.
But before it could reach them, Kael’s mana wrapped around the beast and halted it mid-air. "You’ve gotten faster than before?"
"It doesn’t matter. You’re still nothing more than an ant."
Kael’s aura burst out from his body, enveloping him completely. Though invisible to everyone else, the crushing pressure was directed entirely at the tiger. Its fur instantly stood on end as fear overtook it, and a low growl escaped from its mouth.
Kael took a few steps forward and grabbed the tiger’s head with his firm grip. "I dislike the presence of corrupted mages and swordsmen."
Kael applied a small amount of force; his mana covered his hand entirely. The force was more than enough to crush the head of the tiger; the beast’s skin was crushed into small pieces. Its blood splashed across the ground, and some of it covered Kael’s clothes.
He let the body fall out of his grip. When the body made contact with the ground, a loud THUD sound echoed through the air.
Kael turned around as he looked at Stephan. "The deal which we made is now done."
"Don’t forget the promise you made, if any of you people come to my mansion once again."
He took a small pause, leaned next to Stephan’s face, and continued. "I’ll make sure to kill every single one of you."
Stephan’s body started to tremble, and the pain erupted through his muscles once again. "I-I’ll make sure of it."
After saying that, Kael started walking towards his mansion. When he reached there, he noticed that his clothes were a little too covered with blood.
"I can’t go in front of Sylas like this."
"He might get scared thinking that I did something bad."
He let out a sigh and removed the robe from his body. Tossing it onto the ground, he pointed a finger toward it and channeled his mana forward. The robe instantly burst into flames.
"I have to erase every trace of this; the nearby magical beasts might come here after sensing the scent of one of their own."
He entered the mansion, and he noticed that the outcast was still there waiting patiently for him to return.
When the outcast saw Kael, he rushed forward and stopped a few steps away from him. "Hey, what happened back there?"
"Did the count give them an order to kill us all?"
The outcast kept asking multiple questions, which made Kael annoyed; a vein popped through his temple as he clenched his fingers into a fist and smacked the head of the outcast.
"Nothing like that is going to happen, so shut up."
His head moved towards Sylas’s room. "Is he still sleeping?"
The outcast had his hand next to his head, rubbing it tirelessly. "Ouch!! Yes, he’s still sleeping."
Kael started walking inside the mansion, but before he entered. "What’s your name?"
A confused look appeared on the outcast’s face. "Huh? Pardon?"
"I asked for your name, not that."
"Uh... I’m Leon Wayle."
"Go and wake Sylas up for lunch."
"Yes, sir," Leon said as he straightened his back.
He rushed directly towards Sylas’s room, while Kael went to the living room.
When Leon reached Sylas’s room, he noticed that the door was large and beautifully decorated. The inside of the room was filled with everything a child could need, including a small bed that seemed to have been specially made for Sylas.
"The lord definitely cares about his son." He muttered as he looked around the room.
He looked at Sylas, who was sleeping peacefully, with one thumb of his remaining inside his mouth, as he sucked on it.
A blanket slightly larger than Sylas’s body was neatly draped over him. "Kids really do look cute when they’re sleeping."
He leaned in closer and patted Sylas’s head gently. "Sylas, wake up."
Sylas didn’t budge; he remained sleeping there. Leon tried once again, "Sylas, it’s time for food."
Sylas finally started showing some movement as he rolled off to the other side of the bed.
Leon picked Sylas up in his arms, gently touched his cheeks, and muttered to himself. "He resembles my younger siblings to a good extent."
A sigh escaped his lips. Before he could try to wake Sylas up, he suddenly felt a terrifying aura surge from behind him, as though a great evil had appeared at his back in absolute fury.
