Chapter 77: Chapter 77 Teaching

The sensation was clear. The young trainees felt the ground reverberate and shake under their feet, and the deep, fist-shaped indentations clearly marked the enhanced power. The contrast between the two demonstrations was stark, showing the amplified effect of the Aura Force on their physical strikes.

The elves and dwarves were visibly impressed, their eyes widening as they observed the impact. They could sense the raw power and precision that the Aura Force brought to their actions, making it clear how much more effective and powerful the strikes could become with its aid.

"Now, training Aura Force might take a bit of time and a lot of focus, it will be better if you all are trained directly by a single person, but our numbers aren’t enough," Iri added. "Each one of us will teach five of you, and you are free to choose who you are going to learn from."

Allowing them to choose their instructors could significantly enhance the learning experience by creating a more comfortable and supportive environment. When individuals select instructors they feel at ease with, they are more likely to discuss their challenges and ask questions openly. This openness helps reduce anxiety and fosters a positive learning atmosphere where trainees are not afraid to express their difficulties, making it easier for them to absorb and apply new concepts.

The ability to choose also increases motivation and engagement. Trainees who connect with their instructors on a personal level or find their teaching style compatible are often more enthusiastic and committed to the learning process. This personal connection can lead to greater investment in the training, as trainees are more likely to actively participate and put in the effort needed to master the skills being taught.

It took a bit, but eventually, the kids looked at each other and made their moves... unsurprisingly, Iri was the first to be chosen... four elf boys and one girl chose her, and the others looked a bit annoyed since they lost their chance. The others hurried up to select the older warriors even though they were all under eighteen.

"Dearest sister, were you planning that all along?" Raiden thought. "To be surrounded by pretty boys? My opinion of you dropped a lot."

Despite the joke, Raiden knew that things would be pretty troublesome for him... As one would expect, he was one the last to be picked. He was the youngest, so he wasn’t that impressive, and his black hair didn’t help him.

When Raiden looked at his trainees, he also confirmed that they had their own problems, too... they were three elves, two boys and one girl, and two dwarves, a boy and girl. They looked only a bit older than him, but their lack of confidence and cast-down eyes made them look younger.

"Well, whatever... let’s just do my job here," Raiden said.

Raiden’s primary focus was on his work and objectives rather than on forming friendships. As such, he did not get to know the trainees or ask for their names. His attention was firmly on his own goals and responsibilities, which were central to his mission.

Additionally, Raiden was also vigilant about monitoring Iri’s actions. He was concerned about Iri potentially deciding to stay with her group of admirers and create a reverse harem. Raiden’s oversight was intended to ensure that Iri remained focused on their shared goals rather than becoming sidetracked by personal relationships or distractions.

"Heya, my name is Raiden, and I am going to teach you guys for a while," Raiden said, but then he realized that he didn’t have any training methods or lessons ready. "... As you saw before, Aura Force can be used to enhance your overall strength, but it can also boost your skill, senses, and overall mental and physical capabilities. The more you use it, the more you will be able to use it for longer periods of time."

Raiden looked around while explaining that, and they paid attention to him, but when he looked at them, they reverted their gaze... that would be annoying if it happens all the time, but he decided to endure it.

"Usually, controlling forces come naturally with years of training, but this should be easier for you as well despite that," Raiden said. "Start by doing squats until you can’t move your legs."

The group’s reaction was one of surprise when they realized that learning "Force" involved something as straightforward as doing squats rather than engaging in some esoteric or mystical practice they might have expected. They had anticipated that mastering this skill would require complex or obscure methods, not simple physical exercises.

Despite their initial surprise, the group did not voice any complaints. They quickly understood that their expectations might have been misplaced, and they recognized the authority of the situation when they saw Raiden raising his eyebrows. This subtle gesture served as a cue that they should accept the training method without further questioning. Consequently, the trainees complied with the instructions and began performing the squats as directed.

"I guess my fame is helping here," Raiden thought and then looked around.

Some of the young warriors were making the elves and dwarves run around. Others were making them meditate... it looked like everyone had their own ideas on how they could use Aura Force . Raiden learned it when he got hurt several times seriously and then began to heal naturally, but he couldn’t ask those guys to punch each other.

It didn’t take long for the group to give up. Their legs were trembling... they only did around one hundred of that, which showed that they didn’t use their bodies that much to get stronger since their skills relied elsewhere.

"Do ten more, and then we will get to the next stage," Raiden declared. "Ten times nonstop or without taking time for a break."

The kids looked like they wanted to complain, but when they looked at Raden raising his eyebrows, they soon stopped... that was kind of fun for him. Eventually, they completed the set while groaning in pain, but Raiden wasn’t done yet.

"All right, now do one hundred push-ups," Raiden said. "If you don’t complete the one hundred nonstop, you will have to start from scratch."

"... Ex... excuse me... is there any point to this?" The dwarf boy asked.

"Of course there is," Raiden replied. "You don’t need to know for now."

That wasn’t going to help, but giving them all the answers would make them get lazy, and they would have to learn things by themselves. Besides, while that method was simple, it was the most surefire way to learn Aura Force .

In the end, Raiden’s training approach involved a rigorous regimen that required the trainees to work all the muscles in their bodies. Instead of participating directly in the exercises, Raiden spent the entire morning meditating. This method allowed him to maintain a focus on his own practices while overseeing the trainees’ physical exercises from a distance.

As a result, when the training sessions concluded, the trainees were visibly exhausted and in pain. Their bodies ached from the intense workout that had thoroughly engaged every muscle group. Groaning and struggling with fatigue, they headed home, reflecting the demanding nature of the physical regimen they had endured.

Eventually, he met with a pleased Iri when everyone was going home... Raiden looked at her with suspicious eyes, and she could only look away, a bit embarrassed. She enjoyed too much the presence of those kids.

"I did my job properly, you know," Iri said.

"I didn’t say anything," Raiden shrugged.

"Anyway, I haven’t heard anyone managing to use Force yet, turns out tha teaching is a lot harder than I expected," Iri said.

"It would be fun if we all failed in the end," Raiden grinned.

"Hey, don’t jinx us... that would cause a lot of trouble and misunderstandings," Iri said, visibly worried.

Raiden also wanted to complete his manipulation technique before those three months... the time limit for a person to graduate from the scholar level was when they became sixteen, so he still had a bit more than four years to pass through those two levels, but he didn’t want to take it easy...

By the end of the day, Raiden realized that he hadn’t made any personal progress in his own training. Despite his effort to meditate and observe, he hadn’t developed any new ideas or insights for advancing his skills. This lack of progress was a bit disappointing, as he had hoped to achieve something for himself during the training session.

Although people had to learn six basic skills of the six paths, that was a lot harder than expected... perhaps Raiden had to lower down the bar a bit...

However, Raiden found a silver lining when he saw the trainees the following day. They appeared to be visibly improved, almost glowing with newfound energy and confidence. This change was a clear indication that they had successfully learned how to use "Force" and were benefiting from the intense training they had undergone.
