I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse
Chapter 1977: The Colossal Monsters Zones
Just as the ship passed through a path, that pathway closed, and the feed showed a hideous monster that was the size of an entire planet.
Hye had never spotted such a scary monster before, and it ended up with his ship, alongside his warriors, getting crushed by a single roar of that monster.
"Dammit! I shall never think about doing this again," Hye felt a cold shiver down his spine. He realised such a monster was something that no one should try their luck and fight, no matter what.
The next thing Hye did was to spread new orders, strictly forbidding anyone from doing what he had just tried. He made sure to attach the recorded short video he gained from his experiment to add more weight to his orders.
Putting aside his shock and fear, he started to wonder about the origin of that monster. "It can't just appear out of nowhere," he muttered to himself, "let me take the time of our travel to pry more over these monsters. It won't be something normal to find lots of such monsters in the space around, right?"
He knew the possibility of having one colossal monster like that was close to zero. So if he found out more, then it meant there were some sort of breeding places for these scary behemoths. And he grew curious to know where they were, and even if his binding technique would work against them or not.
Yet he didn't even consider going there himself. He kept sending lots of scouting ships, ending up losing them all. No matter when or where he sent his ships, he ended up losing them thanks to the presence of more of these colossal behemoths.
Yet at some point, he finally found something new. Out of the blue, it felt like they were crossing a borderline between two colossal behemoth zones. The moment his scouting ships passed through the storm, the feed returned with two colossal monsters, appearing to stop and destroy his scouts.
Yet having two monsters sounded like it backfired. The moment the two noticed each other, they started to glare and roar at each other. Hye didn't know why, but the two looked very hostile, very wary of each other. Luckily, they kept doing this until their scout ships finally bypassed their reign.
Seeing this, Hye didn't even wait for his scouting ships to pass through the stormy mist surrounding the monsters. He instantly sent lots more of his small ships, giving the order for full speed and moving without even looking back.
The movement was sudden, and in the middle of such cautious travel with high vigilance, the Hescos noticed what Hye was doing. Moth instantly sent a message asking about what was going on, stressing and warning that any of Hye's forces sent to the storm wouldn't return. ππΏπ²ππ°πππ§πππ²π₯.πππ
[Don't worry, I'm just bored and decided to fool around a little bit!] Hye didn't say anything about what he was truly doing, didn't even give a single hint of the chance he stumbled across.
He didn't know what was on the other side of those monsters. Yet he knew one thing: these monsters acted like territorial monsters, looking like they were defending something big behind.
And Hye wanted to see for himself what this was, and if it was something good, he wanted it for himself. So he ignored the subsequent inquiries from Moth and kept sending lots of small ships towards the storm.
At some point, the Hescos grew curious and started to send their ships. Unluckily for them, when they decided to do it, they had already passed the interval regions between the monsters. And so they lost all the ships they sent without exception.
"It seems they will need more time to cross the stormy border." After almost an hour, Hye started to notice two things. The feed coming from his ships deep into the storm showed an endless ocean of mist. It wasn't deadly, but it looked as if it was stretching between two universes.
The second thing he noticed was the quality of the feed starting to get lower. It was expected, as he was still travelling at high speed away from his ships. So he decided to do something crazy.
"I'll leave behind a trail of ships to link me with them," he decided to send back a few ships, and even ordered his ships to infiltrate the depths of the mist to leave behind one ship every few hours to relay the feedback to him.
Like this, he established a long network based on his ships. It looked weird when the Hescos noticed it, looking as if Hye had left behind an escape route in case things went south.
To Moth and the Hescos' upper command, this looked typical for someone who came here for the first time. So they didn't care too much about what Hye was doing. Yet Moth couldn't help but link this to the earlier weird moves of Hye. Even if he suspected something, he had no clue whatsoever about what the human was truly doing.
The journey continued for long days, while Hye kept doing two things constantly. First, he kept sending lots of ships for quite some time. Hye wanted to know if what he accidentally found was an anomaly or not.
Something in him pointed towards the presence of zones and borders between them. If he could find the logic behind this, he could easily time sending his ships towards the border areas, exploring what lay behind.
At first, his attempts all failed. After half a day, he started to lose hope about finding the border zone again. And after one day, he doubted he would find it. Yet before the end of the third day, he finally stumbled across the same border zone.
"Send the small ships," armed by his earlier experience, once the feed showed two colossal behemoths standing against each other, and Hye instantly gave the order to send thousands of his small ships.
