I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse
Chapter 1988: Great Dark Realm Bones Harvest
The Hescos elder moved away alongside his entourage, leaving Hye behind to set the final touches for his plan.
"Are you sure you want to use these bombs?" On his side, Legend was very excited to start the grand conquest. But Olana felt a little hesitant. "These bombs are made from that god ore. Till now we didn’t test them, but it’s expected they would generate scary destructions."
"If you are worried we might destroy the bases, then it’s fine," Hye shrugged, "my main goal isn’t to gain more territory. I have more than enough here. All I want is the resources and supplies stored within each base." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"That’s not what I was talking about." Olana rolled her eyes, "I wanted to warn you this is considered one of the most lethal weapons at our disposal. Once used, we can’t make more of these anytime soon."
Hye got what she wanted to warn him about. She wanted to say that these bombs were finite supplies. And they should be kept in reserve for much scarier battles and enemies, like the dwellers of the other universe.
Yet unlike what she expected, Hye took this matter quite lightly.
"Don’t overworry yourself. These bombs are indeed scary, and we don’t have enough of them, but that doesn’t mean we are powerless without them."
Hye turned his eyes outside the building he was in, imagining grabbing all the resources and supplies other forces stacked and stored here for Mellinea.
"I’m sure we’ll find more surprises stored within the warehouses in every base we conquer. The point now is to conquer each base with the least number of casualties, leave behind a scary impression to force neutral forces to join our side. And that’s why using these bombs is crucial and essential."
Olana got his meaning and could already tell it. Hye made up his mind, and he wouldn’t change it no matter how she tried.
Then the meeting turned to speak about military arrangements, deployments, picking their targets, and assigning the leading general for this operation.
Hye decided it was better not to move with everyone at once. First, it would lower the impact of their assault, and second, he didn’t like leaving behind the grand number of bases and the rich gains in them unattended.
So he arranged his leaders in the Outer Battlefield to be like this: Sara would stay behind to take care of any defensive battles at any base they own. Legend would lead the different generals and armies to attack the other bases. As for Olana, she would prepare a separate force under her control, responsible for looting the gains from any conquered base, move these to the bases highly fortified and secured by their forces, and hasten the check over these items.
As for Hye, his role would be simple; he would move freely and hunt down any scattered forces he would meet. He planned to keep using his technique and add more warriors to his side, growing a new army from different races, while collecting bones.
After all, this was the Outer Battlefield. There were tons of wars waged in these lands since the Outer Battlefield appeared. And Hye was very curious to see what type of bones he would get, and how many of the highest grade he would salvage from these ancient battles.
On top of that, Hye was very curious to see if his bone suction ability would work in this world or not. After all, he gained it from his class, which was based on the system. Seeing as much stuff related to the system was blocked in this world, he wasn’t sure if he could gather bones and collect souls or not.
Yet when he went outside the building and tried, he was gladly surprised to see his bone suction ability working. Yet it wasn’t working as it did back in the universe.
"Tsk! It feels like using my Turbo Bone Collection ability works now as if I were normally collecting bones before it."
After giving it a try a few times, Hye noticed the narrow area of effect his turbo version suffered. Yet he couldn’t complain. At least he got one of the most important abilities working.
Even if he had to exert more effort like this, he wasn’t dejected. Once he confirmed his ability worked, he started to see his gains. And this time, he was destined to have the shock of his life.
"Dark real bones? All high grades? Hahaha! I hit the jackpot this time, hahaha!"
The moment he used his ability for half an hour, the gains were undeniably great. He didn’t get any normal bones; all were dark realm bones. It was a bit weird, as this place was ruled by races from his universe. And dark realm bones should come from people of the other universe.
"Perhaps by overstaying their lives here, they fundamentally changed. Or perhaps the type of bones depended on the system, for those with the system giving normal bones, and those with cultivation give dark realm bones."
Hye couldn’t tell the exact reason, and he didn’t care about it, honestly. All he cared about was the great gains he had. So he started a grand tour inside this base, then moved to other bases, while leaving the entire situation for his generals and friends to handle.
As he was busy collecting bones, Legend made the first move. Before acting, though, he sent a message to Hye asking for permission, and Hye instantly approved.
Legend wanted to target the different forces grouped around the Toranks. Even if most of these forces had lost their strongest backbone, they were still numerous and had many strong powerhouses on their side.
But Hye wasn’t worried, as he provided Legend with enough God Ore-based bombs. To make sure things wouldn’t go wrong, he moved towards the direction of the first battle. And coincidentally, that base was close to one of the bases he gained recently.
So he walked towards that base, kept collecting bones even from the lands beyond the walls of every base, and waited for the early news of the clash.
