I Really Didn't Mean to Make Money
Chapter 341: Payment
Three hundred and fifty thousand?
Chen Mo was a little speechless. But when he looked at the car model displayed on the phone, he started to understand.
A pink Beetle.
“President Chen, do we really have to change it? This one’s only 350,000, and it’s already a good deal,” Song Xia said reluctantly, staring at the pink Beetle on her phone.
“No. The price must be between 750,000 and 800,000. The tablet has a list of car models. Pick another one,” Chen Mo refused without hesitation. Everyone else’s cars were over 750,000, and yours is only 350,000? What makes you so special?
“Alright then,” Song Xia sighed. Seeing that President Chen was firm in his stance, she turned to fetch the tablet with the available car listings and started picking a new one.
She glanced one last time at the pink Beetle on her phone, clearly reluctant to let it go.
In the end, she had no choice but to give up on the 350,000 car and started looking at ones priced over 700,000.
Time ticked by.
All the managers who had come over had already signed their contracts.
Ji Xiaohui looked at the thick stack of signed contracts, still feeling a bit dazed. She looked up at the young man in front of her.
“President Chen, all the contracts have been signed. It’s time to make the payment.”
“Not done yet. I’ve still got one more car,” Chen Mo said as he pulled up the vehicle he had chosen and showed it to Ji Xiaohui.
When Ji Xiaohui saw the model Chen Mo had picked, her mouth fell open in surprise.
“President Chen, this G-Class costs 1.43 million.”
But as soon as she said it, she realized it was a bit out of place. This young President Chen had already bought several cars priced over 700,000, spending more than 7 million in total. Why would he care about another 1.43 million? She quickly corrected herself.
“President Chen, I didn’t mean anything by that. I just wanted to let you know the price.”
Chen Mo waved it off casually.
“Just draw up the contract. Once everything’s signed, I’ll pay all at once.”
After confirming that the system had given him a 1.5 million spending limit, he had immediately set his sights on this G-Class. The black color looked sleek and imposing.
If you’re a man, you drive a G-Wagon, right?
As for the price being 70,000 under the limit, that was acceptable.
And those backstabbers? Forget it.
They wanted compensation for breaking their contracts and still hoped to buy the cars they liked? Not a chance.
Seeing that Chen Mo had given the go-ahead, Ji Xiaohui quickly pulled out the contract.
Soon enough,
After a flurry of signatures, the final contract was completed.
“Alright, let’s go pay,” Chen Mo said as he signed the last document.
Buying the cars was secondary. Spending the money was the real goal.
“President Chen, please follow me,” Ji Xiaohui said, holding the stack of contracts as she left the meeting room.
But she had barely taken a few steps when a salesperson stopped her.
“Xiaohui, what’s going on?” the salesperson asked quietly, glancing at the people waiting outside the meeting room.
“They’re buying cars,” Ji Xiaohui replied without slowing down, walking briskly ahead.
President Chen was a major client. She couldn’t afford to waste his time chatting with colleagues.
“Someone from that group is buying a car?” the salesperson pressed.
“Yeah. Anyway, I’m heading over to process the payment. Catch you later,” she said, leaving the salesperson behind as she made her way straight to the payment office.
As soon as she stepped inside, she saw the sales supervisor, Huang Xiaoli, already sitting there.
Huang Xiaoli looked up and frowned slightly.
“Xiaohui, what brings you here?”
“Supervisor, I’m here with a client to settle the payment. This is President Chen, and he’s purchased several cars,” Ji Xiaohui quickly explained, then introduced Chen Mo.
Huang Xiaoli’s expression shifted to surprise. She immediately stood up to greet him.
“Hello, President Chen. May I ask which cars you’re purchasing? Xiaohui is new here, so if there’s been any lack of proper service, I hope you’ll understand.”
As a sales supervisor, she knew exactly what needed to be done.
Although she had her doubts about Ji Xiaohui’s capabilities, if she had really managed to land a deal, Huang Xiaoli would still earn a commission from it.
So regardless of anything else, the top priority was to take care of this client properly.
Chen Mo glanced at the supervisor who had come over and spoke calmly.
“I don’t even remember what cars I bought. It’s all in the contracts. Just process the payment according to those.”
He really didn’t know what cars he had bought. During the selection process, he hadn’t paid much attention to the models—only the prices.
If the price was right, he approved it.
Huang Xiaoli was puzzled. He didn’t even know what cars he bought?
But professionalism came first. And since he was already talking about payment, that meant the deal was basically done—only the transaction remained.
With that in mind, she quickly walked over to one of the workstations.
“President Chen, we can handle the payment right here.”
Then she turned to Ji Xiaohui.
“Alright, hand me the contracts. I’ll take care of it.”
She was genuinely surprised by this newcomer. From what she had observed, Ji Xiaohui’s performance had been mediocre at best.
She had already concluded that this rookie wouldn’t land a single deal within three months, and would either quit or be forced out.
So to see her close a client today was quite unexpected.
Ji Xiaohui quickly handed over the stack of signed contracts.
“And this is…?”
Huang Xiaoli looked at the thick stack of contracts in her hands, a bit puzzled as she asked,
“All of them?”
“All of them,” Ji Xiaohui replied quickly.
“All of them?”
Huang Xiaoli glanced uncertainly at Ji Xiaohui. Judging by the thickness of the stack, there had to be over ten contracts.
If they were all for purchases, even if each car was only around a hundred thousand yuan, that would still amount to over a million in total sales. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
A million in sales…
That would earn her a pretty decent commission. Of course, Ji Xiaohui would get an even bigger cut.
“Yes,” Ji Xiaohui confirmed with a nod.
Huang Xiaoli looked at Ji Xiaohui’s serious expression and still found it hard to believe. She turned to Chen Mo, who was waiting nearby, raising the contracts slightly in her hands.
“President Chen, all these contracts are for vehicles you’re purchasing?”
“Yes. If there’s no issue, let’s go ahead and settle the payment,” Chen Mo urged, unable to hold back.
Why was spending money becoming such a hassle these days?
“Of course, President Chen. We’ll process the payment right away,” Huang Xiaoli responded quickly, then began handing the contracts one by one to the employee in charge of billing.
Seeing that the payment process was underway, Chen Mo didn’t bother getting involved. He simply handed the matter over to Shen Rou to handle.
All they needed to do was provide the payment account. He had already coordinated with the finance department before coming.
Payment in progress…
At first, Huang Xiaoli hadn’t paid much attention as she looked over the signed contracts. But when she saw the prices listed, she couldn’t keep her composure.
750,000!
Each contract was for over 750,000 yuan.
This…
