Chapter 853: 853 End of Vacation: The Walker Effect, Lucifer Returns, The Dynamics Change Forever, and A New World!

It was an ordinary Sunday as Allen sat on his couch watching the news.

To his left was Natasha, whom Allen held around the waist with complete naturalness. Natasha had become more affectionate since Allen returned, and even now she wore a soft smile. This had a devastating effect on Allen, who more than once ended up carrying her to the bedroom the moment Natasha looked at him like that.

To his right was Artoria. The goddess of Rhongomyniad wore a simple blue skirt and a long-sleeved sweater. No one who had seen her original version would have imagined that this was the same ruthless goddess willing to save humanity, even if it meant freezing Camelot after the end of time.

Artoria rested her head on Allen’s shoulder, her head intimately and affectionately. During this past week, Allen had also dedicated a lot of time to the Dolls—not only those with whom he already had an intimate relationship, but he also tried to grow closer to those who had refused him until now, whether it was Jalter being a tsundere, Kurumi and her pride, Bocchi and her shyness, or Nokotan... well, she was special. She looked at Allen less as a romantic interest and more as the leader of her herd.

There was also the newest Doll, Anemone. This girl had a good heart, despite being an assassin in her world—a simple girl who enjoyed a good beer and could eat a hamburger without being judged as unfeminine.

So Allen treated her like a friend, which made it easier to get closer to her, although when this girl drank, she became "affectionate" with him, only to die of embarrassment once she regained sobriety.

Lastly, Allen had tried to advance his relationship with Artoria, which was not very difficult. Their feelings had been mutual for a long time, and it was Allen himself who had only needed a little initiative.

Artoria also helped him by setting aside her armor and goddess-king attire in favor of something more "normal," like skirts and dresses. That was enough for Allen to enter hunter mode.

And this was the result.

The three watched the current news.

— Regarding the incident involving a mysterious alien ship shot down in Central Park, authorities have clarified that everything is under control and that it was not an invasion —

"Looks like J and K did a good job taking down the giant cockroach," Allen said with a grin.

"Huh?! Cockroach?!" A scream came from the bathroom, and instantly MJ came running out naked.

"It’s nothing," Allen said, amused by the situation. MJ was literally a superheroine with spider abilities, yet she was still afraid of cockroaches.

"Don’t scare me like that!" MJ complained before heading back to the bathroom.

"You were right after all," Natasha said as she snuggled against him. "That cockroach wasn’t a problem for your MIB friends~"

"Yeah, but that almost caused a conflict," Allen laughed.

When Fury found out Allen had gotten involved with the MIB, he went full jealous girlfriend mode, saying that if Allen wanted, SHIELD could give him a specialized alien-hunting team—something Allen refused.

Artoria glanced sideways at Natasha.

"You don’t have work today, do you?"

Natasha was usually buried in SHIELD work at this hour every day, especially now that so many planets had shown interest in Allen.

Needless to say, Earth’s internet was not the best way to keep a secret. It only took a little investigation to uncover all of Allen’s information.

Once the Republic learned that such a powerful being lived on Earth, they did everything possible to contact him. They pressured the government, which pressured Fury, who in turn dumped those problems onto Natasha.

But how was Allen supposed to allow them to overwork his Natasha?

Allen had gone to Fury and given him a small warning to stop overworking Natasha. After that, Natasha’s workload was magically reduced to a third. Her schedule was also adjusted, giving her two extra hours of rest without affecting her salary, which was nearly as high as Fury’s.

Some might ask whether it was fair for her to receive such preferential treatment, but objectively speaking, Natasha was the bridge between the government, SHIELD, and Allen Walker—which made her something of incalculable value.

— In other news, rumors are spreading that Allen Walker is now dedicating himself to granting people’s wishes. There is not much information, as the beneficiaries do not speak much about it, but we managed to gather some statements, and I quote —

— "I used to have a complex about my height, but one day Allen showed up dressed like a martial artist, and... I’m still short, but now I know karate and can kick the ass of anyone who makes fun of me!" —

Artoria and Natasha looked at Allen.

"Well, I could’ve made him taller, but that wouldn’t eliminate his complex. If life has taught me one thing, it’s that when dealing with sons of bitches, you have to be worse," Allen said with a smile, leaving both speechless.

— "I was an ugly bald guy, but one day Allen Walker appeared dressed as a scientist, took me to a laboratory, and now I have silky hair... I’m still ugly, but at least I’m not bald!" —

Allen blinked with indifferent eyes.

"The rule is one wish per person. I gave him the choice between Brad Pitt’s face or hair, and he chose the hair without hesitation. I didn’t know baldness was that terrifying."

He hadn’t believed it before, but now he was convinced that even Saitama would be willing to give up his power just to have hair.

— "My dream was always to be famous... one day Allen Walker appeared dressed as a talent scout, and now I have a role in a movie called The Killer Android Shark with Vibranium Claws vs The Hell Cerberus Shark!" —

"Why won’t people stop making shark movies? This is getting ridiculous," Natasha said emotionlessly.

But to her surprise, Allen looked interested.

"I know it’s a terrible movie, but it kinda sounds interesting, doesn’t it?"

"Now I understand why they keep making shark movies," Natasha said with a bead of sweat on her forehead.

Allen had granted several wishes over the past week, and he realized that the people in his world were very strange. They almost seemed to have a screw loose, though he couldn’t really blame them since he was partly responsible for altering this world and making it so bizarre.

.....

Several more days passed, during which Allen finished saying his goodbyes. From the girls’ perspectives in the other worlds, Allen was only gone for a few days or a week, but for him, it was months or even years—of course, depending on how he entered that world.

Once again, the doors of Lux opened for Allen, and once again, he stood before Lucifer.

"Do you ever change suits?"

Lucifer stood as he prepared a martini in his private bar.

"Just as you love black shirts, I happen to enjoy white suits, and I rarely wear the same one twice."

"Wow, what a rich guy comment," Allen mocked as he took a seat.

Lucifer chuckled at Allen’s relaxed behavior.

"My, it seems that conversation made you bolder in my presence."

Allen shrugged.

"Wasn’t that the goal?"

Lucifer walked to his seat as well. Once seated, he crossed one leg over the other, looking at Allen with the same relaxed attitude.

"True. More than that, it was a way of showing you respect. Now then, your current self barely meets the minimum qualifications to be considered an opponent."

"Wow, I suppose that’s an honor."

Barely qualifying as Lucifer’s opponent was already praise and an unimaginable achievement for any existence. Of course, the original Lucifer was not the strongest character possible but with the Michael Demiurgos’ Dunamis, he was already a being whom only entities like The Presence or The One Above All could surpass—beings who were omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.

Leaving that aside, neither Allen nor Lucifer had any intention of becoming something like that.

Allen could not abandon his humanity, his heart, or who he was just for power. But regardless of the risk of stealing more power from Lucifer, Allen had realized one thing—he needed that strength.

Not just because of Lucifer, but because of the possibility of suddenly encountering someone similar and being powerless to protect those he loved.

It was a shitty game where winning or losing felt more like punishment than reward, but even so, Allen was not willing to give up.

"So, what will it be this time?" Allen looked Lucifer in the eyes, causing the atmosphere to shift into something more serious.

There was the question.

What would it be this time?

How would he have to adapt?

Would he return to a previous world?

Would he continue with MHA?

Or would it be a completely new destination?

Lucifer set down his martini and looked at Allen.

"Truthfully, until recently, I had expected you to continue with MHA. To be honest, I had prepared something special for you."

Allen snorted in disdain. That "something special" had to be some world-scale crisis or something similar.

"But I realized that what we’ve been doing until now has a flaw."

"What flaw?"

"The corruption of the world."

Lucifer snapped his fingers, and three spheres appeared in the room.

They were universes.

"...!"

Allen tensed immediately because just by sensing their essence, he recognized them as the worlds of Fairy Tail, HOTD, and MHA.

Almost instinctively, he was ready to attack Lucifer, but instead, Lucifer floated the three universes toward Allen, who immediately protected them with his "Will." Calling it Lucifer’s Will would be incorrect now, because it belonged to Allen—it was his Will.

"Relax. I have no intention of harming those worlds. However, by now, you should already realize what the problem is."

Allen glanced at the three worlds. In each one, he could feel Lucifer’s Will spread everywhere.

Lucifer leaned back in his chair.

"From the beginning, this wager... this conflict... had two flaws. One is you, and the other is me."

"..."

"You are very... complicated to deal with. You don’t need much time to become terrifying, but that was to be expected. You’ve experienced and faced many enemies and dangers. That’s why I am forced to interfere with the world—otherwise, it would be an easy victory for you."

"Well, what do you want me to do? No memories, no powers—you’ve already done that."

"True..."

Lucifer smiled and leaned forward.

"Which is why I have a proposal for you. How about I simply do not interfere with the world?"

"What?"

"No Blessing of Lucifer, no empowering villains, no giving them knowledge, no altering the world itself."

Instead of feeling relieved, Allen narrowed his eyes.

"What’s the catch? I’m not giving up the System."

Regardless of its utility, the System was his closest companion. Allen considered her family. There was no way he would allow Lucifer to seal or block her.

"Don’t rush. I had no intention of doing something like that."

Then what? Allen wanted to ask.

If the problem was that Allen was too strong at this point even without powers, what could balance things enough without breaking the world?

Lucifer smiled, his eyes gleaming with interest.

"Maybe the dynamic between us will change forever"

For anyone else, seeing that look of amusement in the Devil himself would have been chilling.

....

..

....

**THE START!**

The sun hung high in a beautiful blue sky. The sound of seagulls echoed everywhere, the sea air was warm, and the breeze was damp.

Such was this world...

However, the story did not begin on a paradise beach with beautiful women in swimsuits, a beach chair, and a mojito.

No.

It began in the middle of an immense ocean, where a small raft drifted aimlessly.

On it, a young man lay staring at the sky with lost eyes, wondering whether his life would end by Sea King or starvation.

His name was Allen Walker, a nobody without a home or destiny, whose only possessions were a single copper coin and an old pendant.

If there was one thing to say about him, it was that he was attractive.

No, saying that would be an understatement.

There was hardly anyone more handsome—or so he himself claimed.

"My life is miserable..."

Allen raised his hand, covering half the sun with it.

’Just when I thought I had finally escaped that crazy bitch Alvida, I ended up drifting on a raft.’

’But I’m a positive person. At least it’s not raining.’

Thunder

Allen lifted his head to see dark clouds in the distance.

’At least I have money.’

Besides Allen, there was also a treasure chest on the raft, made of wood with golden reinforcements and a golden lock.

Allen sat up and decided to open it.

"With the risk of being murdered, it’s not like I had many options. Sure, I could’ve brought food, I admit it, but then I saw this chest, and... screw it," Allen said, clutching his growling stomach. "Now I realize it was a stupid decision, but at least I won’t die poor."

Allen smiled greedily, ignoring both the approaching storm and his miserable situation, before opening the chest expecting piles of gold coins and jewels.

Who knew?

Maybe someone would rescue him, and this would be the true beginning of his legend!

After removing the lock with a knife, he opened the chest.

The golden shine dazzled him for an instant. But soon, his smile froze.

Allen blinked in disbelief. Then his expression turned confused. He reached his hand into the chest, touching the bottom. No matter how much he checked, there was nothing.

Not a single gold coin.

Not a single jewel.

Not even one miserable Berry!

He couldn’t believe it.

He was somehow even poorer than before—and he hadn’t even had money to begin with!

"ALVIDA, YOU BITCH!" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Allen shouted to the four winds and punched the inside of the Chest, though as an ordinary person, he only injured himself and slightly bloodied his knuckles.

Something he did not care about in the slightest.

He was furious.

"Who the hell thinks it’s a good idea to have the most extravagant Chest in existence be empty?!"

Alvida the Iron Mace was a famous pirate in East Blue, where Allen currently was. She had a bounty of five million.

After being shipwrecked, Allen arrived on Goat Island. Just when he thought he could finally breathe, he collapsed on the beach.

But when he awoke, he found himself surrounded by ugly men with rotten teeth who reeked of rum.

For one second, he thought the worst—that his end would be miserable.

But it turned out even worse.

Alvida, whose base was on Goat Island, fell in love with him at first sight.

And kidnapped him.

Allen cursed his fate, though he couldn’t really blame Alvida. He was fully aware that he was the most handsome man in the world.

If he were a woman, he would’ve kidnapped himself too.

However, Alvida was an obese, ugly woman who looked like she had escaped from a horror show.

Allen’s tastes were not that extreme.

So he refused.

Alvida was not a woman who accepted "no" for an answer, so she locked him in her cabin until he gave in.

To protect his purity, Allen had to escape.

And so he did.

To accomplish this, he had to deceive a poor boy named Coby and even use him as a sacrifice to escape.

....

"This is bullshit..."

Allen collapsed onto the raft as the storm clouds drew ever closer.

"Well, I guess that’s it. My dream will never come true, and I’ll become premium fish food..."

[You still seem to have plenty of energy to be narcissistic despite being in the worst situation possible.]

"I’m not narcissistic. I’m self-aware. And besides, I’m also a positive person."

[Mmm, sure.]

Hearing the sarcasm and disdain, Allen became annoyed. But then he immediately froze and stood up.

He pulled out his knife and looked around.

"Unless I’m crazy—which I won’t deny one hundred percent—someone is here. And it’s definitely not me, because even my conscience stopped arguing with me a long time ago."

The empty Chest trembled, and the voice of a girl came from it—

Though directly into Allen’s mind.

[Haha, you’re a funny guy.]

"You’re a cursed chest from Davy Jones!"

The Chest pouted.

[I prefer the term enchanted, sir!]

Allen rubbed his eyes and smacked his forehead, thinking perhaps he was hallucinating.

But the pain quickly made him realize otherwise.

"What are you?" Allen crouched down and moved closer to the Chest.

The Chest blushed like a schoolgirl, causing Allen to fill with himself.

"Wow... my rizz even affects cursed objects. What a sinful man I am."

The Chest metaphorically rolled its eyes.

[Wow, you really are handsome, but your attitude has a neutralizing effect on that attractiveness...]

"I think I just got insulted..."

[Ahem. As I was saying, I am a magical chest, and you are lucky enough to be my first user! Aren’t you happy?]

"..." Allen remained silent, making the chest nervous.

[What’s wrong?! Aren’t you happy?!]

"Happy?"

Allen stood up and shrugged.

"Well, no offense, but a sad empty Chest isn’t exactly going to help me become King of the World."

[How rude. Also... do you actually want to become King of the World?!]

Allen did not answer immediately. Instead, he gazed at the horizon with a melancholic expression.

"Seventeen years ago, something happened that changed the world..."

The Chest fell silent.

That look was not something it had expected, and it also caused it to reevaluate Allen.

Perhaps he was someone with a tragic past... And a story worth hearing.
