This was the limit Lin Zheyu could achieve.

He originally wanted to try and see if he could achieve the legendary out-of-body experience, but the Sea of Consciousness had too strong a hold on the soul, making it impossible.

A wave of joy surged in Lin Zheyu’s heart.

As the spirit just left the body, Lin Zheyu controlled it to expand outwards, wanting to test how large an area the spirit could expand to.

But soon, Lin Zheyu drew in a sharp breath; the spirit, having just departed the body, swiftly retracted back into the Sea of Consciousness.

In the Sea of Consciousness, Lin Zheyu frowned at the traces of black energy carried by the soul.

This black energy was what his spirit had encountered after leaving the body just now.
