Since no one was attacking the zombies anymore, it was annoying that the zombies were starting to catch up with their car and it seemed that their numbers were growing more and more as time went on.

And that made Theodore have to increase the speed of his car, but unfortunately the road in front of him became very confusing with the distraction provided by the tree branches that began to block his path.

"Damn! Why are tree branches blocking the road like this?" Theodore gritted his teeth as he drove his car, glancing at the rearview mirror outside.

"I have to get out to block them; otherwise, they’ll make it even harder for us," Roxanne said, feeling that she had to do something to help with their current predicament.

"Not for now. The situation outside is more dangerous, considering that these tree branches are getting in the way," Theodore replied, shaking his head without looking back.

Roxanne could understand what Theodore was saying because she could see how frightening it was outside right now.

The lights that they had installed outside were starting to fall off because they were hit by the branches sticking out low on the street. Because of that, Theodore couldn’t maximize the speed of his car. He had to carefully avoid these annoying branches.

Shortly after that, Theodore could hear the system buzzing inside his head; he was pretty surprised when he heard it because he didn’t expect the system to disturb him in the midst of this complicated situation.

"What’s wrong, system?" Theodore immediately asked why the system was calling him like this.

Theodore swallowed harshly as he heard the system’s words, not expecting this forest-dwelling entity to suddenly wake up like this. It seemed that Theodore could not avoid the battle.

For now, Theodore thought that he and his friends should face the entity to get out of this forest. It’s just that Theodore still can’t think of who or what they will face later.

Given the information provided by the previous system, Theodore thought that they would still fight zombies, but he was sure that this time, the zombies would not be the same as ordinary evolved zombies or zombies with powers.

But right now Theodore had to focus his attention on these troublesome tree branches, he had repeatedly almost fallen into the traps created by these tree branches.

"We have to do something about these tree branches. I’m afraid I won’t be able to avoid them anymore if this continues," Theodore said, feeling helpless at the moment.

"I thought so, too, but what can we do about these tree branches?" Roxanne really wanted to help Theodore, but she didn’t know what to do at the time.

Geoffrey, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke up while occasionally whimpering in pain because his hand was still injured now, even though the bleeding had stopped.

"I think we should scare these branches away. Seeing how it destroyed our lights, it seems like it’s afraid of light or fire like any other plant," Geoffrey explained as he began to think about what weaknesses the branch could have.

"Perhaps. But we can’t shoot fire arrows at those branches right now," Roxanne replied, reminding them that they couldn’t get out of the car to attack.

"I’ll find something else so we can attack these damn branches." Theodore was thinking of going back to explore this system store to buy the grenade he used when escaping from City Base A.

"Do you have any other magic items?" Roxanne asked with an incredulous face.

At this moment, Roxanne realizes that Theodore is being chased by the military at City A base; they must want Theodore’s magic items.

"Yes, that’s so." Theodore did not have much time to respond to Roxanne’s remark.

Because he couldn’t stand the disturbance produced by those damn branches, Theodore immediately explored the system store and bought several kinds of grenades that had medium explosive power.

Their current goal was to scare away these tree branches and reduce the pressure on Theodore, who was driving the car.

It didn’t take Theodore much time to get the grenades. After Theodore got it, he immediately gave it to Roxanne and Geoffrey who were sitting in the back seat.

"Use the grenade to scare away the tree branches. And remember not to aim it at the front of the car, it will be dangerous if the grenade blows up the car instead." Theodore briefly explained their current task.

"Leave it to me!" Roxanne nodded in understanding.

Roxanne immediately took the grenades Theodore had given her and went to the window on the right, where she opened the safety on the grenades and threw them towards the forest on her side.

It didn’t take long before the grenade exploded, and the fire immediately ignited the leaves and branches in the forest.

However, a miraculous thing happened a moment later when the fire that burned the forest was slowly extinguished, leaving only scorch marks on the bodies and branches of the trees in the forest.

"It worked?" Roxanne became doubtful as to whether or not the attack from the grenade actually worked on the branches.

"Yes! I could see that the branches blocking my way started to diminish after the trees were hit by the fire from the grenades. Keep attacking those trees with grenades," Theodore replied, immediately ordering Roxanne to continue her attack on the trees in the forest.

"Alright, I’ll continue!" Roxanne eagerly continued the action.

Geoffrey, who saw that, also pressed himself against the window to the left because the branches of the tree on the left side continued to press Theodore.

"I’ll help scare the tree on the left," Geoffrey said, telling the others that he would also help.

"Be careful, don’t push yourself." Theodore allowed Geoffrey to help, but he did not force the young man because he knew that he was hurting right now.

"Yes, I will keep that in mind." Geoffrey nodded his head in understanding.

After that Geoffrey began to lower the window on his side and started throwing grenades at the trees on his side.

Explosions from the side and right began to be heard; the shock of the explosions reached their car and made Theodore have to control the vehicle so that it would not swerve.

The problem with the branches was temporarily solved, but the problem was that the zombies chasing them were increasing in number and they began to charge towards Roxanne and Geoffrey who were throwing grenades towards the forest.

Although they were protected by the magic scroll, it was scary when the zombies got close to them and slammed themselves into the car body.
