Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Selene’s Training Started

The day passed just like that, when Damon and Ariel just finish their training, the sun already set.

Although Damon doesn’t really need training since he already master about cultivation from the memories he bought, but it doesn’t hurt to act like a normal cultivator on in a while.

"Okay, that enough for today." Selene said to Damon and Ariel.

Mio and Mia already left with their mother since like Mei lost interest in the boring basic training.

"Ariel, you can rest or cultivate if you want." Selene look at Ariel.

Selene was impressed how fast Ariel learn and now she is not that cold anymore toward her. After she said that Selene then turns to Damon.

"Now is your turn to teach me, sword aura."

"Sure." Damon said.

"Follow me." As Selene turn around and start to walk toward her private training room.

Damon then follow her. Once the are in the private training room, he look at her eyes that full of excitement and curiosity but her face still cold as usual. Seeing that he immediately start.

"First of all, tell me all you know about sword." Damon ask Selene.

"What we start from there? I’m a sword master. Did you just underestimate me?" Selene answer whit her flat emotionless face.

"Do you want to learn it or not?" Damon said it with confident, because he knows that the sword freak in front of him will do anything just to learn anything about sword.

"..."

For a moment Selene stay silent. She was conflicted between her proud nature that never allow to be treated like this by a young who not even 20 years old. But on the other side her desire to know about the sword more deeper don’t care for any of that. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Okay..." She answer Damon but her voice so small even Damon barely hear it.

Seeing the choice that Selene chooses Damon smile internally.

’Good girl, slowly but surely you will fall for me.’

"Go ahead explain." Damon orders her.

"As a cultivator walking the path of the sword, there is a fundamental hierarchy of technique one must ascend to truly be considered a sword user. The very first step is the mastery of Sword Qi."

"By tempering your internal energy and channelling it into your strikes, you can claim the title of a practitioner; without it, you are merely a commoner swinging metal blindly at the air," Selene stated, her voice icy and precise as she lectured.

She paused, her gaze locking onto his.

"Beyond that, as your comprehension of the sword deepens and your cultivation base expands, you will eventually unlock the ability to manifest Sword Intent. Only when you have reached that state of enlightenment can you truly be acknowledged as a Sword Master, a rank that separates the mere warriors from the masters of the sword."

Upon hearing her formal, textbook explanation, a slight frown began to knit Damon’s brows together, curling his lips into a line of disappointment.

He had expected a profound revelation from a renowned Elder of her standing, but instead, he felt as if he were listening to a junior disciple reciting a memorized script that barely scratched the surface of true martial enlightenment.

’Is that really all there is?’ Damon mused, a flicker of genuine disbelief crossing his sharp features.

’Is this truly the extent of the sword knowledge in this era? It is pitifully shallow, falling drastically short of the knowledge I have from the memories of sword masters and t grand masters.’

Then Damon finally realizes that the system is overpowered, even the current system cannot read what beyond this world and this realm like how it scans Neko status. The source must be from higher and more powerful world.

That why Damon can even buy The Trident for Ariel, because there is no way such a powerful thing can exist in this world, even there is it will be downgraded.

"Haa..." Damon breathe a sigh as he thought about how absurd the system is.

"Wrong."

"What?! What do you mean wrong?" Selene shocked hearing that her answer was wrong.

"Well, perhaps ’wrong’ is too harsh a word. You are not entirely incorrect in a technical sense, but I am genuinely taken aback by how shallow your grasp of the sword truly is."

"To think you believe that your current understanding represents the mastery of the sword path? It is, quite frankly, a tragic waste of your talent."

The air in the room seemed to grow heavy and thick with the weight of Damon’s critique. Upon hearing his cutting assessment, Selene’s elegant, porcelain-like features underwent a sudden transformation.

The calm composed mask of the ice-cold elder faltered, replaced by an expression of profound vulnerability and downcast defeat.

It was as if an essential foundation of her identity—the very thing she had spent decades meticulously constructing—had been unceremoniously dismantled before her eyes.

Her shoulders slumped just a fraction, and she looked down at the floor, clutching her elegant robes with trembling fingers, appearing for all the world like a woman who had just realized she had squandered the most precious years of her life chasing a hollow ghost of true mastery.

"But don’t worry I’m here to teach you everything. Just you know this is very valuable knowledge even Sect Leader or Lady Mei might don’t even know about this. and I don’t teach it to just anyone."

Her glacial expression began to fracture, the rigid, porcelain-like mask she had worn for decades dissolving entirely.

In its stead, an almost childlike intensity flickered across her face; her eyes, usually devoid of all warmth, dilated with an intense curiosity.

She looked up at Damon, her breath hitching, and for the first time, he could feel a palpable wave of gratitude radiating from her—a silent, desperate acknowledgment that he had offered her a path to the very truth she had spent a lifetime yearning for.

[Selene’s Interest increased by 5 points, +500 lust points!]

’Oh, wow I can get this much point just rising her interest by 5?’

"Anyway, Let’s start."
