Infinite Bloodline Evolution: Start By Building A Great Monster Clan
Chapter 80: It’s done
Kagerou has been keeping his hammer for him. He talked about about keeping something that belongs to him. The hammer is an Heirloom but of a lesser quality.
At first glance it was nothing to look at. It appeared as a simple metal rod with enchantments words, but with a push of his own mana Thaedric could activate it and it would turn into a full hammer with slanted head.
He can also adjust the length of the rod.
Thaedric was dressed in a black trouser and a long sleeve shirt with purple embroidery. His hair was combed and packed back lossy. A long purple earring on his left ear and his Scion ring on his right hand.
Kagerou was dressed almost the same but he wore a light armor above his and no jewelry for him. His sword by his side. "Are you ready, my Lord."
Thaedric put his hammer, now the size of a short sword on his waist. "Yes. Let’s go."
"Where are we going?" Kagerou asked immediately they left the room.
Thaedric paused when he saw the guards, three blue shields waiting at his door. "What are they here for?"
Kage shifted. "As extra protection."
Thaedric raised his brows. "Dismissed."
Then he turned and stared to walk down the hallway, Kagerou. hurrying after him. The guards exchanged looks among themselves before they shrugged and walk away.
Thaedric met a lot of the blue shields on the way outside of the Bloodscion’s family building. It was apart from the main palace but connection but Thaedric wanted the whole palace to know that he was wake.
He looked at the tallest tower where his mother was and his gut clenched but nothing could happen to her. Not with Luc watching over hee himself.
The main palace was surrounded by barracks which made it a surprise for Thaedric when he realized that the Blue shields didn’t respond during their fights the previous day. It was now known though that Cormac has sent a lot of them away previously.
Thaedric led the way to one of the barracks, this one was flying the flag of red and purple. The Bloodshield. Their doors were wide open and they entered into their training room.
The air in the room was tensed and heavy. The Bloodshield were training hard. Their weapons clashed into each other with enough force that it was a miracle one of them isn’t dead yet.
Thaedric saw Malak and Lykon siting close together and watching them train. They don’t seem bothered by what was happening. He also saw a sight that came as a bit of a surprise. Urlk was standing with them.
They stopover fighting immediately when they saw Thaedric and bowed to him. He waved them away aa he made his way towards Malak and Urlk.
"I hope you haven’t been causing me troubles, Malak." He told him while he clasped hand with Urlk. "I’m glad to find you well."
Malak laughed and slapped him hard on the back. "You should trust me more!"
’Don’t trust him’ a voice grunted as the shirt that Malak was putting on dissolved and came to Thaedric, surrounding him and formed a purple cloak around him. ’Nice to have you back’
’You too Sandskar’
Urlk quickly removed his hand, bowing awkward. "I’m glad you are safe too Thaedric...I mean Scion!"
Thaedric laughed. "You have earned the right to call me what you want Urlk. But I’ll prefer it if you will call me Thaedric."
Urlk’s eyes widen. "Of course."
Then he turned to Lykon who was standing there, eyes dead even with the smile on his lips. "Captain Lykon. Thank you for your service." Now that Zhilana is dead he his the new Captain of the Bloodshield.
"We are just doing our job."
Thaedric understood him. They all must do what they need to do. What must be done must be done.
But Thaedric wasn’t done. He raised his hand until the room was silent then he turned to Urlk. "Urlk Scuridae. You have helped me, your Clan protected me. It is a debt that must be paid."
Urlk shook his head. "You helped me when the Ometra would have killed me. All debts have been paid."
Thaedric smiled and then he raised his hand until all murmuring stopped and the room became still again. "Urlk Scuridae, I am a Scion and I want you as my retainer. Will you serve me?"
There were gasps all around him. And it was understandable. Being retainer to the Heir of a Dominion is big. Very big and this will be the official time Thaedric would be asking.
Urlk went to his knees immediately, his eyes glistened. This was something his clan leader wanted. This should have been her. "Yes I will serve you."
Thaedric smiled and extended his hands for him to kiss the ring there. "You will make your clan great again, Urlk Scuridae."
He looked at him in confusion. "That’s it? It’s done?"
"It is. And witness by all of the people here. Let it be known that the Scuridae clan is now the clan of the heir of Vaidika Dominion. Let all those who witness it speak its truth."
They bowed to him.
Thaedric slapped Urlk on the shoulder. "Your job starts soon," then he turns to all the Bloodshield around. "And I thank you all for your care of the house of Hydraeus but don’t forget that your work will only get harder from here!"
They nodded and bowed and Captain Lykon thanked him. That was all Thaedric could hope for. They are his mother’s personal guard after all. And they will be his one day.
He turned and left them to it.
"All fancy and formal in there." Malak said.
Thaedric looked at him. "Yes. It gets tiring sometimes, but you still have to wear something, Malak."
"Where are we going?" He scratched his head.
"We are going to Court. My mother’s court."
"But your mother is not available to hold court now." Urlk said.
Thaedric nodded. "Exactly. That’s the problem."
