Chapter 46: Seven Star Lilith

Lilith walked through the battlefield with ease. She had not yet made a move to attack, mostly because the adventurers kept moving back the closer she came. Her presence carried a certain weight; it was heavy, oppressive, and sharp.

But not everyone was smart enough to stay away. An adventurer charged in, sword in hand, determination on his face as he was ready to take her down. Her eyes moved and locked onto the human.

"I was allowed to kill you now," she muttered and stepped to the side, evading the attack with ease. She did not even make a move, and in the next second, a massive gash appeared on the chest of the adventurer. Blood gushed out in every direction, and his body collapsed to the ground instantly.

She looked at the body with a cold stare and then turned to look at the rest of the adventurers, who instinctively moved back due to fear.

"Cowards," she muttered and finally pulled her blade. She pulled one leg back, and her sword came to her side. Wind gathered around her like a vortex.

She blasted forward with a speed too fast for their eyes to even see. Her blade moved faster than sound and ripped through their bodies like she was ripping through paper. There was no way for them to resist; after all, she was a floor twenty-two boss. Her strength was easily comparable to someone at the seven-star mage or warrior stage.

This was a realm where a being was easily considered a god amongst men. They were untouchable powerhouses that could shatter anything that stood in their path.

Lilith was already getting bored after killing the twentieth adventurer at this point. Then, in the next moment, she saw a light shine from the sky above. She turned and saw that it was none other than Silva in her Valkyrie form, and beside her was Cleo. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"Enough, monster. You’ll meet your end here," she declared.

Lilith looked at Silva and Cleo. She recognized them, the ones that Kael had allowed to leave the dungeon and stopped her from chasing.

"Tch, he allowed you to get away the first time, yet your town had to find a way to piss him off, and now I have the right to cut you down." A smile formed on her face as she spoke. She was eager to move.

Silva pulled her sword back and shifted her stance. Her wings spread wide apart, and in one flap, she covered the distance immediately, her blade coming down like the blade of judgment.

Lilith looked up. Her eyes followed the trajectory of the blade as she blocked it with one hand holding her sword. A shockwave tore through the area. The ground cracked, but Lilith was unmoved. Rather, she smiled and then spoke.

"Come on, you can do far better."

After saying that, she proceeded to use her free hand to punch Silva right in the guts so hard that she was hurled back through the air. She slammed into the ground hard and rolled until she came to a stop, coughing hard as she rose to her feet slowly.

"Are you alright?" Cleo asked.

"Yeah, just keep working on that spell," Silva said.

"Understood," Cleo responded and closed her eyes, her fingers twitching fast.

Lilith looked at Cleo. She could see that she was doing something. She was controlling strings of mana in a specific way.

’A spell to attack me, I presume. I could stop her now, but I kind of want to see what the attack would be like.’

While Lilith was in thought, Silva attacked. She blasted forward and then unleashed a barrage of sword arcs that ripped through the air, all headed at Lilith.

Lilith didn’t bother to move. She slashed through them in rapid succession, her blade cutting through every sword arc in a blur, while her eyes remained on Silva with a confident gaze, as if to say, "I am stronger than you."

Silva clicked her tongue and gripped her sword with both hands. Her aura exploded, becoming bright like a beacon. The ground beneath her cracked from the sheer force of her presence.

"Die!!"

Her voice thundered as she shot into the air. She came down fast like a meteor. All the adventurers that were around immediately ran, scared that they would be caught up in whatever that was.

Lilith looked up like she could not be bothered, but at the edge of her lips, a small smile tugged at them.

"Atghhhhhhhhhhh!" Silva roared as she came down.

Lilith pulled one leg back and then swung her sword up. Their blades collided in the air.

BOOOM!

The impact sounded as though a nuke had gone off. The weaker adventurers collapsed due to the sound, and so did the weaker monsters.

The ground beneath them cracked, creating a crater that was at least three feet deep and twenty feet wide.

As the dust cleared, Lilith could be seen underneath, untouched. She smiled at Silva.

The look on Silva’s face was one of utter disbelief. Her attack had been so easily blocked. The full power of her Valkyrie form—that was not meant to be possible. Her attack would surely cause a good amount of damage to even someone in the six-star realm.

When that thought crossed her mind, she realized what was happening here. Lilith was not a six-star; she was at least in the seventh star.

With that realization, she understood that all she had been doing was futile. There was no way that she could harm someone in that realm. But that did not mean it was over.

She flapped her wings and retreated far, landing beside Cleo.

"Is it ready, Cleo?" she asked, and Cleo immediately nodded. She opened her eyes, and they glowed blue. She raised her hands into the air, and two magical formations formed under her palms. At the same time, a massive magical circle formed over the head of Lilith.
