Chapter 109: Planning On The Next Phase

"You can craft a genetic armament?" Seth’s eyes widened in shock.

[Yes Host, I am a Tier 2 advanced tutor. My knowledge covers a broad category of skills and professions, Tech Artificer included.]

Seth recalled the information of the oracle crystal. It was said to be an educative equipment used by an ancient civilization to educate their younger generation.

So naturally, the oracle’s explanation made a lot of sense.

And now his conclusion of this little crystal being his most prized possession became even more reinforced.

"What is that?" Uriel couldn’t keep his curiosity in check much longer. He needed to know.

Seth remained in silent pondering for a second. Everyone almost thought he wouldn’t reply, but he did.

"It’s an AI of sorts, a remnant technology of some ancient civilization."

Everyone’s fervent gaze focused back on the crystal bobbing midair.

The next question that practically burned through their minds was to ask how he got it.

Brandon almost did, but in the end he reined his curiosity in.

But that didn’t stop Seth from speaking. "Naturally, if it’s something you guys could get, I would have shared."

Everyone nodded in understanding. After all, that was the main reason Brandon also didn’t share his source.

It wasn’t like telling them would change the fact that the inheritance vault was something only he had exclusive access to.

It was the same with Seth. The Primordial Flash Sale System was his alone. He couldn’t share it even if he wanted to.

So the best he could do for his loved ones and friends was to give them items bought that he didn’t need or couldn’t use.

Which hadn’t happened yet...

Silence reigned for some minutes as everyone digested the information they had just received.

Myriad thoughts ran through their minds.

Seth retracted his hands from the genetic armament, heading back to take a seat, while Brandon retrieved his armor to continue self-repair in his inventory.

"Now that all that’s done, I think we should map out our next moves." Seth’s voice snapped everyone out of their deeply immersed thought process.

Everyone nodded...

Uriel spoke up next. "I think we should delay heading back into the Origin for now... not only because of Brandon but because of our situation also.

What you said yesterday opened my eyes, and I believe you are right. And if those foreign race members are anything like humans, they wouldn’t give up."

Brandon glanced at Uriel, then at Seth. He blinked. "Come on guys, my turn. Fill me in on what happened."

Seth nodded and narrated the series of events that occurred in the Origin Realm to Brandon — at least his own perspective of things, which was broader.

By the time he was done, Brandon’s gaze was rife with envy.

"Oh my god, just kill me now. You’re telling me not only did you guys join a freaking quest event the moment you ascended, you also got to clash with aliens?!!!"

His eyes bulged wide and red, veins streaking his forehead. "I’m supposed to be the one with a freaking lucky suit. Why does my experience feel so lackluster in comparison?! I feel so cheated right now..."

Who didn’t want to see what aliens were like?

Were they gray-skinned, oversized in the head, and thin-bodied like in the movies?

Or could they be insectoids of sorts... or even reptilian?

Brandon’s mind went wild with imagination.

The more he thought about it, the more depressed he felt. He had just missed an opportunity.

But he quickly got over it. He would surely meet them in the future...

Seth continued their discussion. "Naturally, we can’t delay our return to the Origin for long. I’m sure you guys must have seen your empty class slots. That is a vital trait that differentiates Awakeners from Shackled creatures."

Everyone nodded. "But I feel it’s also important to solve some issues on Earth first. There’s a lot of mystery shrouding the human race that needs to be clarified." Uriel calmly proposed while slightly adjusting his glasses.

Seth smiled, thinking of a certain naked man. He couldn’t lie and say his curiosity wasn’t piqued. "Naturally, in the end Earth is our home. We have to settle the house before going to sort the problem outside.

So it’s decided! I’ll be accompanying you guys, answering the call of the government."

The ever-silent Jack asked, "So when are we moving?"

Seth glanced at him from the corner of his eyes, replying, "Naturally as fast as we can. But we can’t leave today. After all, I still have to see my dad."

Jack nodded, remaining silent, signaling his satisfaction with the reply.

Right on cue, the door creaked open, and Maya stepped in, draped with an apron over her clothing.

"Food is ready!" her melodious voice rang out.

Seth licked his lips. No wonder he hadn’t caught sight of her all morning — it turned out his little aunt was preparing their breakfast.

Which was considerate of her, since every house staff had been temporarily dismissed.

The rest’s eyes lit up at the sound of food, and the enticing aroma drifted in from the door left ajar behind Maya.

Even awakening didn’t curb the need for eating in a biological lifeform.

All those fictional beliefs that getting stronger enabled one to sustain themselves on pure energy alone were unrealistic bullshit.

Though hunger didn’t leave Evolvers as vulnerable as normal humans, they still needed to eat. In fact, it was necessary they ate!

After all, they were a higher form of life — stronger, faster, and smarter. This naturally meant they exhausted a ton of energy compared to a normal lifeform. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Essence wasn’t enough for their bodies to sustain on alone. They needed to eat, and a lot more than normal.

Everyone quickly followed Maya to the dining room, had a feast, then went separate ways after breakfast.

The rest went to their rooms, while surprisingly Uriel volunteered to help Maya clean up.

Seth sat on his bed, the oracle crystal bobbing before him.

Before he left for the Aegis Safe Zone tomorrow, there were a lot of things he needed to know...

First, "tell me all you know about classes."

The oracle flashed the brilliant light of processing.
