Chapter 88: A Solution To Stat Saturation

Both guys stood back to back, their auras slowly roiling awake.

On their opposite ends, the hoard — though still not visible — was fast approaching.

Trees fell, trampled into splinters, and the hoard finally stepped into the light.

Indeed, these were Viagra Bulls, but they had a factor that differentiated them from their weaker predecessors.

As they marched forward with brutal purpose, the silver light of the moon shone on their lustrous silver scales and glinting horns.

Their metallic hooves trampled against the earth, leaving deep prints riddled with stretching cracks as they rushed with maddened fervor toward their foes.

Their presence alone was overwhelming. If their foes had weaker wills, they would have been broken before the hoard even approached.

What was worse was their numbers — at least twice the amount compared to their bronze-scaled inferiors.

Normally, wasn’t the opposite supposed to be the case?

Seth’s heart thudded heavily against his chest, his blood pumping hard. Goosebumps rose across his skin — not from fear but from exhilaration.

A challenge worthy of him giving it his all was finally here.

’But...’ he frowned, remembering there was someone behind him.

He couldn’t let Jack die. From the pressure these beasts carried, it wasn’t a stretch to say their strength had already crossed fully into the Noble grade.

Even for him, this would be a challenge he had to fight with everything to overcome.

Things were still leading to the same path Seth detested.

And if he left things as they were, it would end with him leaving everyone behind — that lonely peak he so despised seemed once again to be his destination.

Why had he forsaken so much for humanity? Why had he gone all the way to bring his friends with him to the Origin Realm?

It wasn’t because of some human morality nonsense. It was for his sole selfish interest — hoping the competition would never end.

But still, here they were...

Just then, he had a thought. He slammed his palm to his face. "Fuck, why didn’t I think about that all along?"

He waved his hand, and a green orb pulsed into existence.

With the hoard fast approaching, there was a little window of time he could utilize.

Jack, from behind, peeked curiously at the emerald crystal.

In his eyes, for Seth to bring it out at this critical moment, it had to be some miraculous treasure.

But to his utter bewilderment, Seth spoke to the crystal, asking it a question.

"What is the fastest way to recover from being over-bloated with newly gained stats?"

[Based on the context, I will assume host is speaking about saturation of stats, which is a reaction that occurs to the body after consuming too much energy.]

[The fastest way to recover from saturation is simple: you just need to continue battling!]

[Most individuals make the mistake of allowing their body to digest this energy on its own. While this method is viable, it is slower and less efficient!]

"I see." Seth muttered beneath his breath.

The more Seth learned about the Origin Realm, the more he realized this miraculous new world still seemed to follow the principles of the old to some extent.

What the oracle explained now was akin to eating a full meal, then going to the gym to burn out the calories you’d taken in.

It was the same principle. Seth’s eyes blazed.

Well, at least now he didn’t have to worry about the rest. As long as they kept fighting, their bodies would do the rest.

Jack met Seth’s gaze, his expression bizarre.

The oracle crystal communicated directly to Seth’s mind.

So in reality, Jack just witnessed Seth exchanging words with a floating piece of emerald.

It was concerning as much as it was hilarious.

"From what I’ve been told, as long as you continue to battle, your body will digest the saturated stats quickly." Seth left these words before disappearing into a blur.

Meanwhile, Jack stood stunned for a bit, but the looming hoard snapped him out of his thoughts.

Now wasn’t the time to be distracted. Even if Seth hadn’t said anything, he would still fight.

A fog of shadows writhed around his body, his frame slowly rising to new heights.

His muscles grew more compact, his sclera turning gold, his pupils glowing. Brilliant crimson glyphs shone on his bare chest as he roared to the skies.

Like stated before, Jack’s most efficient method of communication was battle. In this context, one could say Jack was quite talkative.

The earth beneath his feet cracked as he launched himself through the wind.

His growth never stopped. Soon he was pushing 3.78 meters, shadows billowing brighter.

And his colossal frame plummeted through the skies.

Normally, if he landed in the midst of the bulls, he should have been able to kill some by smashing them to death.

But these were leagues above the previous beasts Jack had ever encountered.

The seemingly disorganized hoard sensed Jack’s reckless fall and responded in kind.

The bulls made way, parting the center — a clearing for Jack to land. And he did...

Boom!

A cloud of dust and debris erupted. Cracks tore through the area, snapping even trees from their roots.

Jack frowned. He missed? "This was bad!"

His gigantic form rose, towering over the beasts as they stared at him fearlessly, their crimson pupils shining with rabid obsession to crush his skull beneath their hooves.

And then Jack’s situation grew worse. He was surrounded by a hoard of Origin Beasts that wanted nothing more than to murder him.

In tandem, the Viagra Bulls around him barreled forth, their horns simmering with a compelling hue of silver.

Their hooves burned with crimson flames. Numerous creatures blurred, drawing streaks through the land as they raced for their prey.

Jack’s hand moved, and a massive hammer bled from reality into his palms. Jack didn’t waste any time — his hammer carried the terrifying torrent strength of a semi-Titan-class lifeform.

Shadows billowed more ferociously around his fists as he channeled essence through the massive weapon.

And finally, his hammer made contact with the earth...

Reality seemed to lag in reply. And when it did — the earth, the wind, the sound — it all came at once!

Boooooom!
