Infinite Gacha System: Endless Resources In The Apocalypse
Chapter 14: A Half-Vampire
After sending a message to every single person he was remotely close to, Lucien diverted his attention to the system and checked his stats.

[Name: Lucien Hayes]
[Race: Human]
[Talent: SSS-grade Talent(Lightning Primarch), B-grade Talent(Telekinesis)]
[Combat Power: D+]
[Gacha Tickets: 0]

Despite learning how to use lightning attacks and consuming a meal enriched with spiritual energy, my combat power still didn’t upgrade to C-.
It appeared that the requirements to reach higher levels increased with each advancement.
"I have already contacted them, now I just need to wait."
If the system had the ability to add entire categories of things based on what it detected, then he could just trade for anything that he didn’t had in in exchange for a few days worth of food while he still could.
Meanwhile, Evelyn paced back and forth in her room, looking quite flustered.
Not only had she been bold enough to hug him, but also cry and shown him her vulnerable side.
And in response, he had kissed her.
"What is wrong with me?"
The simple thought of him kissing and embracing her was more than enough to turn the back of her ears and neck red.
She didn’t know how she would react if he barged in her room right now.
Should I let him do as he pleases or kick him out?
Yet when she remembered how he didn’t seem to be in the mood, let alone the idea of doing something to her, whatever fantasies she had been indulging herself in vanished completely, resulting in her mood plummeting down.
"Why did he call me if he had to act like a damn saint. I don’t believe I am not beautiful enough for him. Right?"
What she didn’t realise was that her self-esteem had also taken a hit after understanding that he wasn’t interested in her physically.
Whereas Lucien found himself in another situation that he didn’t have no knowledge of from his past timeline.

[AfterGlow] : Everyone should be present on the fifth floor in the next two hours, an important discussion regarding everyone’s survival will be held.
If you don’t attend, I can only hope you will still be able to stand on your words tomorrow.
---
The statement dropped in the group chat had ignited a series of discussion where some people mocked the sender, while the others quietly shook their heads wonderinv do they look like a fool to trust anything?
However, Lucien’s attention wasn’t on the text like the others but on the person who had sent the text.
"It’s her." He instantly recognized his ex-girlfriend Clara from her nickname.
Wasn’t she with Aiden? Did this mean that he was trying to achieve something with this gathering?
But he also knew his nature well enough to guess he wouldn’t have sent a simple text and hoped for everyone’s presence.
And sure enough, a massive bombshell dropped on everyone when a man’s selfie was sent the next moment without any warning, making their hearts leap into their throats from the picture alone.
The man had been decapitated.
Blood dripped from his neck as his lifeless eyes stared at the camera that had taken the picture.
"Has he gone mad?" Did he really think that people would come out of their homes after seeing this?
Though on second thought, only those who feared death but still possessed the courage to face it would be the ones to descend, and the cowards would lock themselves up in their homes while hoping everything would pass.
These were exacy the kind of people that Aiden wanted under him.
He is filtering them while also gathering everyone he could to take under his wing at once, thereby killing two birds with one stone. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
As the chat went fully silent, a sudden scream from outside the building stole everyone’s attention.
A man with bat-like wings extending from his arms approached their building with astonishing speed and a howl so loud that even a deaf person might have to clutch their ears from the sheer intensity.
"What the hell is he?" With furrowed brows, Lucien concentrated the flow of spiritual energy straight to his eyes and tried to analyze him with the help of his system.

[Name: Julian Cooper]
[Race: Half-Vampire]
[Talent: A-grade Talent(Blood Convergence)]
[Combat Power: D]
---
"A vampire?" He narrowed his eyes into thin slits at that information.
The first being he had ever met of another race, at least half of him, and the man’s howl irritated him enough that he nearly one-shotted him with lightning.
The evening sunlight reflected off the blood-red color of his eyes, and Lucien’s super sight also noticed his canines when the man opened his mouth and cried out.
And as he feared, the sound attracted the predators lurking in the depths of the Black Water in silence.
A massive seven-foot-long lobster-like creature jumped from the water and tried to catch the man in its pincers with speed so absurd that it created afterimages.
Clamp.
Julian noticed the danger a second too late, and having no other choice, had to sacrifice one of his wings to its deadly pincers just to escape his doom.
The loss of a wing caused him to crash downwards with terrifying speed, like a meteor hurtling through the air before slamming straight into one of the lower floors with a huge bang.
The lobster-like creature plunged back into the water and did not resurface afterward.
"We’re going downstairs." Lucien informed Evelyn and soon, both began descending the stairs.
If Aiden wanted everyone downstairs, what better time was there to go watch the show?
However, it was nothing more than an excuse—what he truly wanted was to get closer to that half-vampire and check if touching him will help him in any way.
His strength was enough for him to disregard anyone in this building, or even the district if being humble.
