Infinite Sharing System: Cultivating With My Sister In The Apocalypse
Chapter 132: Sect Tournament [ 10 ]
For the next couple of hours, there wasn’t much success. Heck, he was sure that he wasn’t even doing it right.
However, after some time had passed, Xuan opened his eyes and spotted something interesting.
In front of him, Hanbi was talking to her Spirit Beast, and as for Sierra, she was leaning against a rock and reading a book. Yuelan, on the other hand, was snoring, basically sleeping upright while still channeling her Qi to give him a bonus.
But amongst all these things, one thing did stand out to Xuan. It was Sierra’s blindfold. He hadn’t realized it before, but it was partially covered in Qi. Was it to hold it together, or rather, make it stick to her head?
Perhaps it was just for fashion? Either way, Xuan had an idea. What if, instead of anything offensive, like a crown to block attacks that he didn’t need, or a weapon which he would probably never use, he imagined something like armor?
He wasn’t completely dead set on the melee combat route, but it was indeed what he was currently best at. So until the foreseeable future, Xuan wanted something that would improve his close-quarters fighting to a ridiculous degree.
And an armor that would apply horrible debuffs to his enemies every time they hit him... It just sounded like something that would work.
So with that in mind, Xuan decided to do just that. Focusing on only the Poison Qi, Xuan wrapped it all around his body, and to his genuine surprise, it took close to no effort. A slim suit of armor appeared around his body and acted like a coat.
Rather than translucent, it was just very, very thin. Not too edgy-looking either, since the outline of the coat was dark, and only the visible fiber itself was dark purple. In short, he looked pretty badass.
And even though it looked like this armor didn’t cover his whole body, it did act as a full-body shield. Not to mention, he could also stack this piece of armor with all of his Qi Types if he was correct, which would also bring him to a level where nobody could touch him.
Hmm...
What if he super enhanced the shit out of his current armor? Then, if the lightning lad struck him again, he would get poisoned and he might even die. It seemed like a genius idea to Xuan at the time, so he went ahead and did it.
With every bit of Poison Qi that he infused into the armor, the sharper the details became, to the point where symbols began weaving in and out of existence, until finally, he realized he couldn’t infuse any more Qi.
And at the same time, one more very surprising thing happened.
[Ding!]
[You have created: Poison Armor Layer]
—
<Poison Armor Layer>
<Rank: Supreme>
<Mastery Level: 1>
<Description: Every time an opponent strikes the Poison Armor Layer, they will be afflicted with 10,000 poisons. Increasing Poison Qi Mastery and consuming deadly poisons will make this Poison Armor Layer more deadly.>
—
Huh.
10,000 poisons. Moreover, why was it at the Supreme rank? Wasn’t this something just about anyone could do?
Xuan decided to ask the professional here, so he stood up, causing Yuelan to fall down and dump her head into the sand, only being awakened once some sand got into her nostrils.
"Fuuuck!" Yuelan rose, her eyes red as even more sand got into her mouth, causing her to cough violently. Just then, she instinctively backed off, raising her brow in wariness as she just barely managed to open her eyes and glance at him.
"What’d you do? Something’s a little off about you?"
Xuan smirked and approached her, placing a hand over her head.
<You have shared your skills!>
<Xiao Yuelan has received: Poison Armor Layer>
"Oh? Oh shit. That’s really good. I mean, I can’t use it since I don’t have Poison Qi, but peep this."
Just then, a similar coat appeared around Yuelan’s body, except it was made purely out of Water Qi. "Heh. This one’s cool. Yours is also much better made than mine. Is it because you used Void Qi?"
"I didn’t use any Void Qi, at least I don’t think I did. Though, what’s your rarity? Of that crown thingy. Also, gimme the crown," Xuan said with a chuckle.
Yuelan rolled her eyes and gave him her skill as well.
<Xiao Yuelan has shared the skill: Water Crown Layer>
—
<Water Crown Layer>
<Rank: Heaven>
<Mastery Level: 1>
<Description: Every time an opponent strikes the Water Crown Layer, their attack will be absorbed and redirected. Increasing Water Qi Mastery and blocking powerful attacks will make this Water Crown Layer more deadly.>
—
Hmm...
"Heaven-ranked, huh. Let me try to use it."
Xuan did what Yuelan did, trying to change the affinity of the Crown and put it on his head. However, no matter what he did, nothing came out, almost like he couldn’t use this skill.
Yuelan noticed that too and raised a brow. "You can’t manifest your Elemental Qi outward?"
She approached him and tried to tap on his head. Through the tips of her fingers, she tried to cast the Crown Layer, except nothing happened. It really didn’t work, as his Qi just rejected it completely.
Yet instead of panicking, the two of them quickly realized what might be the issue.
"I guess the reason I can use such high-ranked stuff is because I can’t expel Elemental Qi outward," Xuan said with a sigh.
"Looks like it. But I mean, isn’t this fixable? What if we just get you some kind of bloodline or something that can give you the ability to use Elemental Qi? Even a shitty bloodline would be better than nothing," Yuelan replied.
Xuan shrugged. "Yuelan, we’ve not even been in this world for one month. Let’s look for bloodlines once we’re done with this tournament and have everything sorted."
Even if he didn’t have a crown, he still had that overpowered armor.
And as if on cue, Xuan and the others spotted the overseer, alongside 9 more people, approach them, signaling the imminent start of the next round.
