Infinite Sharing System: Cultivating With My Sister In The Apocalypse
Chapter 136: Sect Tournament [ 14 ]
Once he passed through the portal, he found himself back where he had been earlier. Except this time, there was no overseer. The body was gone too.
Yet after just a few seconds, someone approached from the bushes. It was the same woman from before, except her Qi felt much, much different. Not to mention, she was an inch or two shorter than the other one.
Only then did Xuan realize that someone had taken her face. It was a cruel method of disguise, but then again, game was game. He couldn’t do much about it, and the others not knowing that he had killed the previous overseer was a good thing too.
So with that in mind, Xuan just stared at her and waited for the others to go through as well. Bit by bit, alongside Yuelan, the other sects emerged from the maze.
But in the end, three people were missing. Not from his sect, thankfully, but they were most likely killed by someone.
Glancing over to Sierra, and seeing the blood on her hands as she flipped the pages of her book, Xuan had an inkling who it might’ve been that had massacred the others.
Letting out a chuckle inwardly, he reunited with his sect, and especially Hanbi. She seemed relieved. Naturally, she didn’t feel like she was going to win, only because the man from the Sun Sect was present.
But with Xuan around, as well as Yuelan, she knew she had nothing to worry about. Securing a victory for her sect didn’t mean that much, as the one thing that mattered was the reward they had gotten.
It was a pill, a pill for ascension, and a pill that cleared all impurities. Getting one from an alchemist was difficult, since even though a lot of alchemists could brew such a pill, finding the materials was hard in and of itself.
Yet as she approached the overseer and collected her reward, which was inside a small wooden case, she couldn’t help but feel relief. Opening the case, she spotted a rainbow pill, and without much thought, she went ahead and inspected it.
—
<Harmony Pill>
<Rank: Divine>
<Pill Purity: 100%>
<Description: Go up one Minor Realm and go through a full body reawakening, clearing all impurities and drastically increasing strength and cultivation speed.>
<Special Intent Effect: Upon consumption, the pill’s effects will be applied twice.>

"..."
Seeing the shocked look on Hanbi’s face, Xuan went ahead and approached her too, inspecting the pill, only to be left surprised.
"Jeez... Alchemists can actually make something like this?"
"It’s difficult, but we can procure the ingredients," the overseer said. Even her voice wasn’t the same, which kind of ticked him off a little. But oh well, it was his own fault for killing the original in the first place.
"Materials, huh? Isn’t there another form of alchemy, where you can change one material into another?" Xuan asked.
The overseer tilted her head. "Are you referring to the Alchemical Mechanism series by the great author Qin Taijin? No, I’m afraid that’s only fiction, dear. There’s no such thing. There are only two types of alchemy: pill alchemy and potion alchemy."
"Calling him dear is a little rude," Yuelan chimed in with a pout. "Also, that type of alchemy exists, you just suck at it."
Naturally, Yuelan had watched one too many animes not to know about this form of alchemy. The only reason Xuan knew it too, was because she had forced him to watch some of the animes alongside her.
Still, he was a dumbass when it came to the actual grand scheme of things, but she didn’t mind. Having a brother who could sometimes rely on her was nice, since for the majority of her life, she had only been relying on him.
But putting that aside, the couple of them chatted for a bit, until eventually, Hanbi raised a very important question.
"You... Do you guys want it?" Hanbi offered. "I mean, I am selfish, but you did all of the work. It would be rude of me not to offer it to you. Our sect already has two, and I’m next in line to get another one, so I don’t particularly need it."
Xuan raised a brow. "So you’re just collecting it? Damn... Well, I don’t know, Hanbi. You see—"
"Heh. Surprised you didn’t offer sooner," Yuelan chimed in, yanking the pill out of the case and inspecting it with an amazed look as well. "Damn... Say, Xuan, if I eat this, and then we flow both of our Qi together, would we get the same effects?"
"Dual Cultivation?" Sierra also chimed in.
Hanbi nearly spat blood at that comment. "N-Not Dual Cultivation. You can just channel your Qi through one another, but it won’t have the same effect."
Yuelan raised a brow. "Even if we have a special ability that lets us channel it with no trouble?"
Hanbi paused. "Well... In that case, it might actually work. But save it for later. Also, get ready to fight, because as you can see, we might’ve made one too many enemies."
Glancing around, Xuan could see nothing but jealous gazes and people who wanted to steal the pill from them. It was a bit of an annoyance, but it was kind of relieving too. After all, amongst those people was the arrogant guy from the Sun Sect.
Killing him would most definitely give him some satisfaction. Though, he was sure the deal with the Thunder Sect might be a bit ruined at that point.
But then again...
"What are you lot looking at? Do you think I’ll give you this just because you ask nicely? Nope~ Try it, and I’ll butcher every single one of you alive. That’s a promise. Right, Xuan?"
"Hm? Oh, yeah. Probably," Xuan replied, hyping her up in a way while she arrogantly and bashfully threw insults at her opponents.
However, it didn’t take long for the overseer to nod and then finally take her leave.
Once she did, the actual end of the tournament finalized...
And not only that, the greed of all the participants was also evidently shown.
