Infinite Train Survival Apocalypse (But I'm a Girl Now?!)
Chapter 76: Letting Everyone Go? (Bonus - )
One of the underlings couldn’t take the pressure anymore and immediately dropped to his knees, wailing.
"Mother!"
"I was wrong! I’m not with them—I was forced into this! Please, spare me!"
The boss beside him flew into a rage and kicked him to the ground, roaring, "Disgraceful piece of trash!"
"We’re still inside the station—she can’t hurt us here! What the hell are you scared of?!"
The underling froze, his tears and snot stopping mid-flow as realization dawned on him. "Y-Yeah... Why should we be afraid of her?!"
With newfound bravado, he scrambled to his feet and pointed at Bai Cheng, taunting, "Come at me, then!"
But the next second, a wall of hellfire erupted before him, spreading rapidly and encircling all sixteen survivors in an instant.
The Crimson Flame Lion strode forward with deliberate steps, the scorching heat rolling toward the group like a tidal wave.
Bai Cheng looked down at them coldly and smirked. "Killing you all outright would be too merciful."
The leaders among them still mustered their courage and cursed, "Quit your bullshit! Try laying a finger on us, I dare you! You think you can defy the station rules?!"
Bai Cheng ignored them. Instead, she leisurely removed the half-mask made of tree roots from her face and tossed it aside.
Then, she took out all the passes from her backpack, waving them in front of the group almost mockingly.
"You don’t want to be trapped in this station forever, do you?" she said with a smile.
The survivors fell into unanimous silence.
"S-She... she has all the passes?!"
Which meant that the only way they could leave now was if she showed them mercy.
Even though they would fail their mission, at least they could still escape, right?
For a moment, panic spread through the group.
The same underling who had just taunted Bai Cheng now crumpled to his knees again, his legs giving out.
"Sis! Mom! Grandma! Ancestor! You saw it—I really was forced into this! Please, have mercy! I’ll even lick your shoes if you want!"
This time, his boss didn’t kick him. Only silence remained.
Naturally, there were others with weak spines, those who just wanted to earn easy rewards but never expected to risk their lives.
They broke down too, immediately dropping to their knees and begging for mercy.
In the end, only three people remained standing in the sea of hellfire, refusing to kneel.
But Bai Cheng paid no attention to any of it. Her voice was soft, almost detached, as she mused aloud.
"How strange... Did your mission include information about me? How did you know it was me from the start?"
One of the survivors on the ground reacted instantly, blurting out, "It’s Tang Yan! He sold us the intel!"
Another, realizing that he had missed his chance to speak first, quickly added, "Yeah! He’s the one who told us that hiring Treefolk to deal with the Pioneer is the fastest way to clear the mission!"
Bai Cheng paused, caught off guard by the answer.
Tang Yan?
But how did he know that these survivors will run into me?
Even if Leng Ningxue suspected that he was a regressor, it was too precise.
Alhough she was puzzled, Bai Cheng didn’t dwell on it. Instead, she casually tossed two passes down.
They landed right in front of two kneeling survivors, whose eyes widened before their faces twisted with glee.
"Thank you, Sister! You’re the kindest person in the world!"
Seeing this, the others immediately lunged forward to snatch the passes—
But a sudden wall of flames cut them off.
At the same time, a path opened in the hellfire, allowing the two with passes to escape unscathed.
"Hmm... I don’t think I’m curious about anything else," Bai Cheng said, biting her finger as if deep in thought.
The remaining survivors were stunned. They hadn’t expected begging to actually work!
In an instant, they all started kowtowing, desperately spewing every piece of information they could think of.
From their current progress, their development plans, to how Tang Yan had started selling intel...
But Bai Cheng was uninterested. Or rather, she already knew most of it.
Seeing her unmoved, the survivors didn’t dare to stop talking. They kept going, even resorting to the most ridiculous details.
For example, how they dealt with their biological needs, the color of their underwear, even performance tips for certain activities in bed...
Bai Cheng’s eye twitched. She was genuinely speechless.
However, one person’s mention of their mission details did catch her attention.
Only then did she realize how simple their task was, and how absurdly generous the rewards were.
Bai Cheng pouted in dissatisfaction. "How can the system be so biased?"
She tossed down another pass, and the survivor snatched it up like a treasure before fleeing in ecstasy.
Seeing this, the others doubled their efforts. However, they had nothing left to say. All they could do was beg.
Bai Cheng rubbed her temples, annoyed. "Alright, alright. This Lady isn’t some demon. Since you’ve repented so sincerely, I’ll let you off this time."
With that, she scattered the remaining passes on the ground. The survivors bowed in tearful gratitude before scrambling away like their lives depended on it.
Now, only three people remained. They were the ones who had refused to kneel, likely the group’s leaders.
Once all their underlings were gone, Li Haiwen immediately dropped to his knees.
"Miss, I’ll hand over all my supplies! Just spare me!"
The other two followed suit. "Us too!"
"Aww, you’re all just victims of circumstances. I know you’re just doing your mission—I’ll forgive you," Bai Cheng said sweetly, her voice dripping with kindness.
Before they could respond, she added, "Your supplies are on the train, right? I’ll let you return first. Just trade them to me later~"
Li Haiwen stared at the pass in front of him, his face first twisting with glee, then freezing in shock.
She... actually gave it to me?
This girl is an idiot!
If he had to describe her in two words, it’d be—Stupid beach!
Who in their right mind would actually give her supplies after getting back to the train?
Sure enough, she’s young. Too naïve!
Putting on his most earnest face, Li Haiwen declared, "Don’t worry, Miss! I’m a man of my word. I’ll definitely keep my promise!"
With that, he grabbed the pass and bolted toward the station. The other two scrambled after him, not daring to stay a second longer.
Bai Cheng watched them leave, her smile never fading.
She didn’t seem to care at all.
Almost as if she had forgotten that she had to leave the station first to claim her rewards and complete the trial...
And Zi Yuan, who should have been standing on the tree trunk, had long since disappeared at some point...
