Interstellar: Exploring The Cosmos With My Anomaly System
Chapter 83: Conflict
Long ago when the planet Lunara was created, three races were given life first, they were given the ability to speak, the ability to learn, they were made in the celestial’s image and more. With all those gifts they also gave us rules, the six commandments. It’s said any race, or any one to break those commandments, will be cast to eternal damnation upon the celestial’s descent.
For that reason the celestial’s children split off to different parts of Lunara, vowing to never touch the land the celestial’s have gifted to the other. Thus war across races never happened, neither did trades, the only thing we have, is the languages we learned from the celestials tying us together.
"Or, that’s how the story goes at least," Godrick muttered, leaning against the stone cold wall that casted the group in confinement.
"I see..." Astra muttered. "Wait, so this damnation—"
"No idea, you’re the celestial you figure it out," The warrior cuts her off, grunting softly before using his palms as a pillow against the cold stone.
"Hey! I’m just hearing of all this too you know!" Astra snapped, shrinking back to her thoughts as they continued to race. "Before now I have no idea what I am...I still dont— Me? This world’s god-figure, that’s just bull—"
"Foods here..." The monotonous voice of a guard cut her thoughts short, Belk grabbed the trays through the steel bars, bringing them over to the other two.
"What is it?" Astra pondered before even seeing what’s inside the bowl.
"You know what birds eat?" Belk asked
"Yeah?"
"Think that but bigger."
"Oh—yum..." She hesitantly reached for the bowl and yup, sure enough worms the thickness of someone’s finger squirming in the bowl.
"If you don’t want it give it to me," Godrick said, grabbing the bowl before she could even object.
"How could you even eat that—" The technician muttered, her eyes narrowing in disgust as he popped one in his mouth.
"I’ve been captured before, been forced to eat way worse than this." There was a level of pride to his words that were genuinely disturbing. Astra looked at Belk with furrowed brows before he too slid his bowl to Godrick’s side.
"How are we going to get out of here..." Belk hissed to Astra.
"We don’t!" Godrick interrupted.
"What?!"
"Think about it!" He explained, his mouth filled with worm bits. "We have a celestial on our side, that’s basically immunity, we haven’t broken any rules either, we’ll just have to answer honestly and that’ll be that!"
"I...guess—" Belk muttered.
’Even still— let’s say we were given that pass...it’s not like I can do anything,’ Astra thought, staring at her hands. ’What if they ask something of me, proof? I’m not sure—can I even be able to...’
Astra’s hands trembled as she thought about it, they felt cold and alien to her now...
’What if something happens...what good am I right now, what good am I currently?’
Belk grabbed a hold of her hand, and her thoughts came to a pause. "Hey...you okay?"
She looked up at him with a hitch in her breath before nodding. "Yeah...yeah I’m fine."
"Hey!" One of the guards banged their staff loudly against the iron bar. "The queen will see you now!"

"Your highness!" One of the Poulian guards cried out, running towards the throne room in a panic. He was met with a Poulian who looked much more refined than the others, her features draped down her neck, upturned at the ends in a rich pink/red hue.
"What is it?" She asked with a level of boredom in her voice. "I have an audience soon..."
"The Erpeopians had sent us a letter, they claimed that the celestial had descended!" He squawked in a panic.
"A weird way to announce your surrender," She murmured.
"Actually, they’re threatening for us to surrender..."
"What?!" The Poulian queen stood up from her throne in an outrage causing her warrior to shrink at her words.
"He claims he has the Celestial on his side and well...um,"
"Spit it out!"
"If we don’t surrender he will pray for divine intervention!" Those words alone were enough to make the queen’s blood boil.
"The nerve! They came upon us demanding our land and they got to pray to the celestials for a way out?!"
"He has to be bluffing!"
"So we’re not going to call this off—"
"No!" the queen snapped, making the man shrink even more. "If this is how it’s going to be, if even the celestials themselves go against their own commandments to pick favorites, we’ll fight them as well!"
"Miss Victus!" A voice echoed through the chamber as the door opened to show the guard guiding the main cast down the haul. "They’ve arrived."
Her head turned to Astra, Godrick and Belk who made their way into her presence. Astra’s head hung slightly looking at her feet.
"Hm? Oh, you three..." She muttered, unimpressed with the display put before her. "So not only are the Erpeopians trying to take control of our land but the Aelvarians aswell..."
"Please, your highness, allow us to explain!" Belk immediately stepped forward, held back by the spear of the Poulian guards. "We had no intention of stealing nor were we planning war!"
"We were just passing by and—"
"Please! Passing by?! Do you know how stupid that sounds?" The queen snapped, causing the Belk to instantly shrink back, seeing how hard it is to convince that argument.
"It’s true," Godrick grumbled, "We’ve been in search of something at the orders of a celestial."
"A celestial? Please? You mean the very celestial the Erpeopians claim to have?" She looked towards the girl whose head remained down, her gaze upturned from under her draping bangs.
"That celestial is right here..." Godrick announced.

"You think they’re going to give a damn who’s the celestial or not..." Zelr muttered, his half lidded gaze filled with exhaustion as he watched the guards walk by every so often.
"None of us didn’t when she first arrived."
"I didn’t because I loathed the whole notion," Veira explained, and thus my nation followed my example, "I assume your king, Tanaka was it? Did the same thing."
"I suppose you’re right..." Zelr muttered. "Though Tanaka is not our king, not anymore."
