Invincibility Begins with Mastery of Fist Techniques
Chapter 360 - 353: Evil God
A vast number of translucent Spirit Bodies were being frantically devoured by the fourth, blood-red face within Ghost Night.
Furthermore, the multitude of Feathered Serpent Shadows within him, along with countless other sacrifices, also poured into the great mouth of the blood-red face.
As countless sacrifices poured in, the blood-red face’s eyes began to tremble slightly, ready to open at any moment.
’This is...’
Rajana’s expression was grave. Everything he observed with his Celestial Eye made him understand the severity of the situation.
Of the four faces, this blood-red one felt the most dangerous, sending a horrifying chill down his spine.
Furthermore, his battle with Ghost Night had revealed the nature of his opponent’s abilities.
Both Spirit Bodies and Feathered Serpent Shadows could be used as sacrifices to awaken the Evil Ghosts inside him. The more sacrifices required, the more terrifying the Evil Ghost’s power.
His opponent’s power, though bizarre and formidable, also carried significant risks.
The three Evil Ghosts he had summoned previously required sacrifices equivalent to about half the Spirit Bodies in the plaza and nearly a tenth of the Feathered Serpent Shadows within him.
But to activate this final Evil Ghost, he had invested, all at once, the other half of the plaza’s Spirit Bodies and nearly a fifth of his Feathered Serpent Shadows as a sacrifice—more than the total used for the previous three Evil Ghosts combined.
"What power is he using?"
Nearby, Lei Yi also sensed an unnatural terror radiating from Ghost Night. He frowned and asked Rajana, who had just walked over to him.
"I don’t know... It’s vicious... and powerful..."
Rajana said gravely.
"To activate Balaka... To let you die at the hands of a ’God’ is the greatest respect I can show you. I hope your souls can compensate for my losses."
Blood began to seep from Ghost Night’s skin, forming a mist around him. His body seemed to wither and shrink as a result.
An aura rippled out from him—one of extreme savagery and terror, inspiring a primal sense of awe.
It felt like a prehistoric beast, or an evil spirit slumbering in a pool of blood.
It was aloof and savage, yet possessed an indescribable nobility and an undeniable majesty.
This was no longer an Evil Ghost. It was a God.
An Evil God.
The same thought struck both Rajana and Lei Yi.
And, in fact, they were right.
It was, indeed, a "God".
The South India Continent was a land with an ancient history. For long periods of world history, its people remained isolated and undeveloped. Their power structure was tribal, giving rise to diverse, mysterious, and peculiar cultures and customs that preserved humanity’s most primal instincts.
Shamans, Witchcraft, Sects, Foreign Gods...
For the inhabitants of these primitive tribes, only one duty was paramount and could never be neglected.
Ritual sacrifice.
They worshipped the unknown and revered fear, cultivating both into Divine Spirits and faith.
And Balaka was the Divine Spirit worshipped by a great Shaman Tribe in ancient times. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
He ruled over death, blood, slaughter, and fear. The tribespeople were His servants in the mortal realm.
Every year, the tribe would hold a grand sacrificial ceremony. They used captives from other tribes or their own criminals as living sacrifices and offered up the tribe’s most beautiful maiden, all to please their Divine Spirit.
Through an amalgamation of countless sacrifices, beliefs, and prayers, a unique magnetic field began to form invisibly above the tribe. Then one day, a certain Shaman Wizard, guided by Ghost Night, connected with this field during a deep spiritual meditation.
And so, for the first time, this Evil God who reveled in blood sacrifice gained a physical form in the mortal world.
Afterward, Ghost Night cultivated generations of the tribe’s Shaman Wizards, allowing this Evil God to grow immensely. Over time, its power and authority were honed until they were a perfect fit for him.
Ultimately, this Evil God became an inseparable part of his very soul.
RUMBLE!!
As the blood mist around Ghost Night condensed, the Celestial Phenomenon above shifted violently. Winds howled, clouds churned, and muffled thunder cracked, as if heaven and earth themselves trembled in fear at the Awakening of some terrible existence.
The swirling blood mist finally coalesced around Ghost Night, forming a colossal body roughly three meters tall.
He had a savage, bestial face and was shrouded in a long, blood-red robe. In His hand, which resembled a beast’s claw, He gripped a massive, blood-colored scythe.
His eyes swam with infinite malice and greed—a greed for life, a greed for souls. Merely meeting His gaze made both Rajana and Lei Yi feel as if their own souls were being torn from their bodies.
The Shaman Evil God, Balaka.
’A God?’
A strange light glinted in Lei Yi’s eyes.
"Stay back when the fight begins. My next ability... it might not be able to tell friend from foe."
He then turned to Rajana and said.
"Alright."
Rajana said gravely. With a push of his foot, he quickly put distance between himself and Lei Yi.
In an instant, Lei Yi’s vision plunged into darkness.
The next moment, a light flared, and his consciousness seemed to enter another dimension.
After a moment of disorientation, everything came into sharp focus.
A secluded mountain village, with smoke curling from its chimneys, appeared before Lei Yi’s eyes. There were low, earthen houses and figures dressed in tattered, dirty military uniforms.
Some were chopping firewood, others were running drills or participating in group activities. Their living conditions were simple, but every face wore a pure, genuine smile.
This was a world deep within his mind, a world that belonged only to Lei Yi. These people were long dead, yet they lived on, vividly, in his heart.
Though they were merely personalities split from Lei Yi’s own, they were, in their own way, real.
’Body, soul, memory... which is more important? Are they truly dead, or are they still alive?’
Lei Yi himself didn’t know the answer.
But he knew one thing: they hadn’t changed one bit.
Lei Yi’s arrival seemed to catch everyone’s attention. The villagers stopped what they were doing and crowded around him.
"Old Lei, you’re here! It’s been too long. How’s the outside world?"
"Last time you were here, you said everyone has cell phones now? What’s a cell phone? Make one appear so we can see!"
"Last time, you were telling us about the military parade. You said our air force finally has enough planes that they don’t have to make a second pass? What other new gear do we have? Tell us, quick!"
"..."
A group of fresh-faced youths who looked no older than seventeen or eighteen crowded around. Despite their tender age, every one of them was an excellent, battle-hardened Warrior.
"Alright, you youngsters, stop messing around. This is important. Old Lei, there’s trouble outside, isn’t there?"
An older, veteran soldier spoke up, and the young Warriors immediately quieted down.
"I’m sorry, Old Commander. I only come to see you all when there’s trouble."
Lei Yi said softly.
"We know you have your reasons. But are you sure about this? If we all go out... I’m afraid you won’t be able to handle the strain."
The Old Commander said, his brow furrowed.
"I’ll be fine."
Lei Yi said, shaking his head.
"Who’s the enemy this time?"
A young Warrior poked his head out and asked. Everyone in the little village had gathered, and more and more figures crowded around Lei Yi.
"I suppose you could call it a God."
Lei Yi said.
"A God? What kind of thing is that?"
"Are there really Gods in this world?"
"..."
A murmur of discussion broke out among the surrounding Warriors.
"Alright, quiet down, all of you."
The Old Commander, his head throbbing from the commotion, roared. The crowd fell silent.
"On our long march, what dangers haven’t we faced? What hardships haven’t we overcome? To turn the world upside down and remake it anew... that’s nothing to us."
The Old Commander placed a hand on Lei Yi’s shoulder.
"Lei Yi, go and do what you must. We’re right behind you."
"With all of us as one, we can kill even a God."
The next moment, back in the real world, Lei Yi’s eyes snapped open. Beside him, hazy figures formed from the Killing Aura Magnetic Field began to appear. They were countless and densely packed, yet stood in perfect, disciplined formation.
His personalities manifested. One man had become an army.
