Shen Yan’s memories were sealed again, so she didn’t remember Ye Fan’s kindness to her at all. She was only able to transfer a kind of hatred, a hatred directed at Ye Fan.

Even she herself felt that her hatred stemmed from love, but as to why she would feel love, she was unaware. In fact, Nuwa couldn’t leave such memories for her. Shen Yan only knew that she hated Ye Fan and planned to kill him, which was enough.

Nuwa said, "Your cultivation level has now surpassed ascension, and your cultivation is very restraining to Ye Fan’s Pure Yang Spiritual Energy. He doesn’t suspect you, and with these advantages, killing Ye Fan shouldn’t be too difficult. I trust you will have your revenge!"

Nuwa laughed, "I won’t kill Ye Fan; he’s just an ordinary human and is related to saving the Heavenly Tribulation. Killing him wouldn’t be fair to the spiritual realm. Remember, I will never allow him to do anything that threatens my status. Hence, letting you kill him is a form of relief for him!"

Shen Yan didn’t quite understand what Nuwa meant.

Ye Fan scrutinized Xi He and said, "You think I should let her accomplish it?"

Ye Fan coldly said, "I wouldn’t go so far as to indulge Xuannv merely to earn her trust!"

Xi He shook her head helplessly; she really wanted to help Xuannv, but unfortunately, Ye Fan wouldn’t allow Xuannv too much freedom. Her current stance was merely about winning some bit of leverage; if unsuccessful, she wouldn’t persist because she knew Ye Fan wouldn’t change his decision for Xuannv.

"If the master intends to forcibly bring Xuannv under his control, it would be better to directly kill her. Xuannv’s primary trait is her unruly nature; no one can control her thoughts, and the master should understand this point!" Xi He seemed to wish to win a bit more leverage for Xuannv.

Ye Fan said, "I will consider Xuannv’s situation carefully; however, I won’t allow her excessive freedom on many affairs. You need not speak any further on this matter; I know what to do!"

Xi He nodded slightly and refrained from mentioning Xuannv further. She knew that any more talk for Xuannv might affect her own standing with Ye Fan. It’s better not to speak at all, which is in both her and Xuannv’s best interests.

Zhao Lina wouldn’t yield to him, regardless of what he said. Zhao Lina wouldn’t listen. The only solution was to use some coercive measures and take Zhao Lina away directly, without considering any negotiation with her.

Taking Zhao Lina away wasn’t a difficult task for Ye Fan. Even if Zhao Lina blamed him, she wouldn’t be able to return from the second Secret Realm to Earth anyway. At least by doing this, he could put his mind at ease.

This happened to be the weekend; originally Zhao Lina was supposed to work, but perhaps due to exhaustion over the past few days, she took a day off. Planning to visit her parents, she had already called home and was ready to leave when she suddenly felt a blackout and seemed to see someone appear in front of her. Before she could react, she was engulfed in darkness.

"What’s happening? Has someone kidnapped me?" In this moment of crisis, the first person that came to her mind was Ye Fan.

She didn’t think Ye Fan would do this but hoped Ye Fan would protect her because aside from Ye Fan, no one else could help her with such a problem.

"Hey..." Zhao Lina wanted to shout loudly but couldn’t make any sound. She wanted to struggle, but she found that apart from her mind, none of her limbs obeyed her commands, making her feel terrified.

However, in just a second or two, light returned to her vision. She knew not where she was but felt she was in a place of beautiful scenery and birds singing, yet her heart was vigilant; this was merely a beautiful prison for her.

Only then did Zhao Lina realize she had been kidnapped by Ye Fan.
