So... Kai didn’t even know where to start.

First, he just wanted to spend a little bit of his time with Daisy, right after his part-time job interview. But then, out of nowhere, Chloe who was supposed to still be working found them together and decided to join in.

Second, his little sister Risa also wanted to come here like a mother-in-law interviewing her future daughter-in-law. Well, luckily she’s a sweet little sister with a little bit of crazy behavior, so it wasn’t too much of a problem for Kai.

Third... Why was Lily even here. Kai himself didn’t know the answer, but more importantly why was she with Reva earlier. And Reva just left right after dropping Lily off here.

Kai breathed out slowly. Confused, why did all the girls suddenly gather.

"Hee~ I didn’t know you were that close with Kai, Miss Campbell." Said Chloe who was still wearing her mascot costume.

Kai took his drink that he just bought and sipped from the straw slowly, while avoiding eye contact with the girl on his left, who was none other than Risa.

Risa was staring at her older brother with sharp eyes and a wide smile, as if her gaze was saying ’how many more girls do you know’. Kai just pretended not to see.

"Yeah... I know Kai, maybe because we often sit together at the cafeteria and..." Lily looked at Kai who kept sipping his drink. "...A lot of things happened in the past few days."

Kai choked on his drink, he kicked his foot gently toward Lily to give her a signal not to talk too much about unimportant things.

"Ahem..." Kai made a fake coughing sound, hoping the three girls wouldn’t think anything weird. "Yeah... me and Lily, we often sat together at the cafeteria... back then."

"Lily? You’re calling Miss Campbell by her first name... you two must be really close." Said Daisy with raised eyebrows.

Lily, seeing the three looks from the girls, looked at Kai then giggled softly which made Chloe, Daisy, and Risa look her way.

"Hihihi~ I’m the one who asked Kai to call me by my first name. You guys can call me Lily too. To be honest, I am more like people call me with my name instead of my family name."

"Hmm? Is that so... well then, want to be friends with me, Lily~"

Chloe reached out her hand ready to shake hands. Juju as a girl who dreams of becoming an idol, Chloe’s charisma level was truly shining on a different level.

But honestly, that confidence actually made Kai more comfortable and trusting of this silly girl, even though her brain was a little empty when it came to academics. But her EQ was truly amazing.

"Hmm? Sure... Chloe, right?" Lily reached for Chloe’s hand to shake it.

"Ehh! You know me!"

"Of course... I mean everyone at school surely know who Chloe Kalani is. The girl from class 10-C, they say you’re quite eccentric... I’ve also heard some things about you, about this and that..."

"Hum hum hum!" Chloe nodded with sparkling eyes, as if she was really enjoying the fact that she was famous. "Go on, what have you heard about me. Is it about how cute I am, oh oh oh!!! or is it about me being so good at singing!"

"Erm..." Lily hesitated a little to continue. "Erm... I’m worried and scared you might get offended."

"Okay..." Lily smiled awkwardly, "Erm... I heard... I heard that you’re a sugar baby... for dirty old men because your photos are circulating a lot and you’re often seen at karaoke places... sorry, I’m just repeating what I heard."

Kai was shocked by how brutally honest Lily was. Same with Daisy and Risa who were also shocked and stared at Chloe who stood still like a stone statue with a smile still stuck on her face.

Daisy was truly a good girl for defending Chloe like that. Even though they had only just met and hung out twice, it seemed like Daisy and Chloe had become close friends.

Girls’ friendships really are as thin as tissue paper, huh...

Kai chuckled a little when he said that in his mind. He looked at Chloe, letting her brush off the rumor herself, because Kai truly believed Chloe could handle her own problems.

She was an amazing girl after all, the future super Idol is not a weak person.

"Hmm... the rumor is only half right actually..." said Chloe as she took Kai’s drink from the table and sipped it. "Yeah, I do go to karaoke a lot, Kai even came with me once."

"Oouch! Hey! Oww!!!" Kai winced a little in pain because Risa suddenly pinched his waist.

"You never told me about you going to karaoke." Risa added more pressure to her pinch.

"Chloe and I just talked, nothing more. Oww!! it’s little hurt!!!"

Kai released Risa’s pinch and rubbed his waist. It’s crazy, how strong was this jealous little sister that his skin almost turned bright red where she pinched it.

"Hahaha~ yeah, we just talked~" said Chloe who laughed seeing Risa and Kai’s behavior. "And, of course that rumor isn’t true. My V-card is still intact, beside I don’t even have a boyfriend."

"Hmm... you don’t have a boyfriend?" Asked Lily, putting her finger on her chin thinking harder. "You know I thought a girl like you... was the type that..."

"The type that... belong for the streets?" said Chloe, finishing Lily’s sentence.

"Yeah... I wanted to say that."

Kai really couldn’t guess what they were talking about. When girls talked with other girls, their conversations were somehow very wild.

No wonder gossip always came from girls first.

Listening to the four girls talking to each other was a calming sight. Kai put his palm on his cheek, listening to Chloe, Daisy, Lily, and Risa talk among themselves.

If this were a game, this scene would definitely be at the end of the ’harem ending’

"Yeah, my big brother sometimes acts like he knows everything and isn’t sensitive to his little sister’s feelings."

"Yep yep, I know Kai is like that, but he’s pretty cool when you think about it."

"Hmm... cool? Kai is different... I guess when I compare him to my childhood friend."

The conversation flowed like a river, that peaceful atmosphere really put Kai in a good mood, until he didn’t realize time was passing quickly and it was almost evening.

They then got ready to go home, but before that Kai saw the four girls still talking and exchanging phone numbers.

"Hey Kai..." Lily gave him a brooch that was entrusted by the cafeteria lady she met a few hours ago. "You know the cafeteria lady... Reva? She said she wanted to give this to you. I got the same thing too... seems like these brooches are a pair."

Kai received the brooch. Again and again, a brooch. Kai noticed it was a Calla Lily flower. "Thank you..."

"No problem, you know the weirdo who gave me the message was really annoying. But thankfully you’re okay and I’m happy I got to talk and make new friends."

Kai smiled, he was glad everyone was happy.

"Big brother, let’s go home."

Hearing that, they all went their separate ways except for Chloe who was still stay in this place, she wearing the mascot head again before hand out the remaining flyers.

The walk home felt nice, the moon was shining beautifully. Kai glanced at Risa, raised his hand and patted his little sister’s head.

"So, what do you think of my friends..."

"Decent..." Risa tilted her head, enjoying her dearest big brother patting. "I got all their numbers... from Big Sister Daisy, Big Sister Lily, and that idiot Chloe..."

"Heh... why don’t you call Chloe with the ’big sister’ title?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

"Huff... I don’t really like that narcissistic girl. Especially..." Risa looked at her brother and hugged Kai’s arm. "She took you to karaoke... I don’t remember my big brother changing that fast to become so vulgar."

"I just listened to her sing..."

"With Chloe on your lap."

"...no." said Kai with eyes avoiding his sister’s gaze.

"EEE~ What the heck why you so hesitant to say no!!! we have to go to karaoke next time. Come on come on come on next week."

The two siblings then went home together with their little banter. Summer would arrive soon, along with the new school year, the second year where everything begins.

But... before that, summer break would arrive and of course love would grow during that time.
