“The Abyss of Eternal Night is a forbidden area in the Asura World. It is located deep in a sea outside Mount Meru. It’s rumored that those who enter never return,” Tushan Yu explained. “I mentioned the Abyss of Eternal Night because Pimosh is planning to hold a ritual there.”

“Ritual?” Zu An’s eyes twitched. A ritual held in a world of gods and demons didn’t bode well. There had been a huge mess when Hermes held a ritual to revive his beloved goddess as well.

“That’s right. I think he’s planning to revive the Asura Progenitor Demon God,” Tushan Yu replied. “The Asuras are warlike, but even the strongest asura recognizes that the Celestials are powerful and have many strong allies. The Asuras can’t be a match for them. Their only option is to borrow the Asura Progenitor Demon God’s strength to deal with the Celestials.”

“The Asura Progenitor Demon God?” Zu An frowned. “Is it possible to revive someone who has been dead for so long?” He was the Netherworld’s master and had a portion of Death’s authority, but even he would require an immortal medicine and the individual’s soul to revive a person.

No matter how formidable the Asura Progenitor Demon God was, the other party had been dead for countless years now. His soul had to have disintegrated by now. It seemed unthinkable to revive someone like that.

“I don’t know, but they have made thorough preparations. They might just be able to pull it off,” Tushan Yu replied.

Zu An fell into deep thought. If the Asura Progenitor Demon God was as strong as the universal deities, he might have been able to keep his soul from disintegrating. Otherwise, even if he’s revived, he’ll just become a monster like Yayu...

Hold on. They're planning to just pit the Asura Progenitor Demon God against the Celestial World. They might not require him to be sentient.

“What kind of person is the Heavenly Devil Empress?” The thought that someone was orchestrating the Asura World’s uprising from the shadows was unnerving to Zu An.

“I have never met the Heavenly Devil Empress in person. I only know she is an extremely attractive woman whose charms have never failed before,” Tushan Yu replied with a look of respect.

“She isn’t in the Asura World?” Zu An asked.

Tushan Yu shook her head. “I’m not sure. She might be busy with other matters, since she entrusted this task to me, but someone of her strength should be able to descend to the Asura World as and when she wants. It’s also possible that she’s in the Asura World, just that she has concealed herself.”

Zu An pondered for a moment before asking, “How is the Asura King doing?”

“The Asura King has been subdued by Lozento and Pimosh and is currently imprisoned in Golden City’s Blood Crystal Royal Court. The two of them are only keeping him alive to obtain his power insignia. He won’t be able to make a comeback,” Tushan Yu replied.

Zu An was perplexed. “What is the Asuras’ power insignia? If they have the power to imprison him, why can’t they just snatch it from him?”

Tushan Yu shook her head. “I don’t know either. While Pimosh and Lozento have defeated the Asura King, he doesn’t seem to be carrying the power insignia with him. Those two are also at a loss. They worry that they will never be able to obtain the power insignia if they kill him, so they decided to imprison him for the time being.”

Zu An wondered if the power insignia was intangible. He had previously obtained the Asura Path’s power insignia in the future, but that didn’t mean it was the same power insignia as the one here.

“Bring me to the Golden City. I’d like to talk to the Asura King,” Zu An said.

Tushan Yu nodded without hesitation. “Alright.”

Zu An was worried. “Will this put you in danger?”

Tushan Yu laughed. “This is nothing. Fulfilling your request is my priority.”

“What about your mission? The Bliss and Desire Divine Palace should have assigned you a mission here, right?” Zu An asked out of worry.

Tushan Yu shook her head. “I did receive missions for the previous worlds, but in this world, I only received orders from the Heavenly Devil Empress. There was no mission from the Divine Palace.”

Zu An was surprised. The Heavenly Devil Empress has the power to stoke a person’s deepest desires. Could she be related to the Deity of Bliss and Desire?

He continued asking more questions about the Asuras and the Devils before the two of them made their way up Mount Meru.

Mount Meru was the Asuras’ turf. They wouldn’t allow anyone to freely fly through their territories. One had to first pass through Metal City and Silver City before they could reach Golden City at the mountain peak.

However, the whole place was on high alert after the uprising. Even if Zu An used Myriad Transformations, it would still be hard for him to pass through their tight security. But with Tushan Yu leading the way, the two of them passed through the checkpoints without a hitch. Some asuras stopped them for checks, but they saluted respectfully the moment they saw her token.

Zu An teased, “It looks like you’re someone in the Asura World.”

Tushan Yu chuckled. “I’m merely borrowing Pimosh’s name. He still needs the Heavenly Devil Empress’s help.”

Silver City was made entirely out of silver. The tallest silver tower in the city was Pimosh’s City Lord Manor. Pimosh wasn't in the city, however, as he was busy watching the Asura King in Golden City.

Zu An didn’t stop to admire Silver City, instead opting to advance straight toward the gleaming Golden City. Thanks to Tushan Yu’s token, they were also able to enter Golden City without a hitch. There, the city's sheer extravagance nearly blinded Zu An. Even the pavement was made out of gold. The sheer fortune amassed in this city was enough to buy several worlds.

Zu An couldn’t help but notice that there were fewer asuras in Golden City. It seemed like only higher ranking asuras were qualified to reside here. There were also asura guards patrolling the city. According to Tushan Yu, they were Pimosh’s subordinates.

The asuras residing in Golden City didn’t seem to be aware of the uprising. Most were confused by the abrupt changes, but they simply went with the flow and accepted things.

The two of them made their way to the Blood Crystal Royal Court. Tushan Yu said worriedly, “The Asura King is imprisoned in there, but Pimosh is standing guard there. I won’t be able to bring you in without alarming him.”

“It’s fine. You've already saved me a lot of trouble on this journey,” Zu An smiled. It would have been far more troublesome to reach Golden City if Tushan Yu hadn’t been around to open the path for him.

Just then, a voice echoed, “Tushan Yu, you’re already back? Have you completed your task?”

Tushan Yu was startled. It was evident from her expression that the person who had just spoken was First Elder Pimosh.
