Faced with his friends’ questioning gazes, Zhang Kai could only shake his head with a wry smile, indicating he didn’t know what was going on either.

When he had visited the Crown Territory before, Feng Shan had nothing but a patch of untamed wilderness and lived in a camp converted from a bus. He certainly hadn’t looked like a rich man.

He couldn’t believe that in such a short time, Feng Shan had even gotten himself an airplane.

The four of them boarded the plane.

The luxurious interior and custom leather airline seats only strengthened their suspicion that there was more to Feng Shan than met the eye.

Meanwhile, Feng Shan sat right down in the co-pilot’s seat, put on a headset, and requested takeoff clearance from the control tower.

The request was quickly approved.

Yves slowly pushed the throttle, and the P-750 taxied off the apron, entered the runway, and gently ascended into the sky.

He set the destination in the navigation system and engaged the cruise control.

Feng Shan took off his headset and came into the main cabin.

"Brother, how much did this plane cost? It must have been expensive!" Hu Zi gingerly stroked the armrest, afraid he might break it.

"I don’t know, it was a gift," Feng Shan said with a grin. Seeing Hu Zi’s cautious expression, he felt a strange pang of sympathy. "Go ahead and touch it. What’s there to be afraid of? I usually use this plane to fly loggers around."

A plane worth over ten million, used to transport loggers.

Sitting in their seats, Zhang Kai and the other three felt like their brains couldn’t keep up.

They had never heard of anyone with the surname Feng in their circles back in China.

’Is he a hidden tycoon?’

"Brother, can I have a go at flying this? I’ve only ever driven a taxi, never a plane!" Black Hide exclaimed, his face alight with excitement.

Feng Shan waved his hand magnanimously. "You wouldn’t be able to handle this one, but I have another one at home. I’ll have Yves teach you later."

"Alright!" Black Hide broke into a wide grin, so excited he almost jumped out of his seat.

They chatted away, and an hour passed quickly.

"Khilla, we’re about to enter the Crown Territory," Yves said, poking his head out of the cockpit.

"Got it." Feng Shan waved a hand and turned to the others. "We’re almost home. You can get a panoramic view from the window. It’s a bit desolate, but the scenery is pretty good."

Hearing this, everyone immediately pressed their faces to the windows to look outside.

Rolling snow-capped mountains, a tundra that stretched as far as the eye could see, and vast forests filled their view.

Hu Zi, Xiaohua, and Black Hide had never seen such a landscape before and let out gasps of amazement from time to time.

Soon, the P-750 flew over the mountains and arrived at the Glacial River Beach.

"Look over there! How is there a patch of grass?" Su Ziweng cried out in surprise. Everyone looked down to see a patch of green on the vast white river beach, which was particularly eye-catching.

That patch of grass was like nature’s last trace of life in this world of ice and snow, its tender green color a stark contrast to the surrounding landscape.

The next moment.

The plane slowly descended.

"There’s a runway, too?" Zhang Kai exclaimed. ’How is this so different from the last time I was here?’

’Where did the bus go?’

Feng Shan explained with a smile, "I’ve moved to a new camp. I gave the bus camp to an elder in my family."

The plane continued its slow descent toward the grassy patch. As they got closer, the details on the ground became clearer.

There were so many log cabins.

’What is this place?’

The plane landed and came to a stop on the newly built runway.

Six snowmobiles were parked neatly by the side of the runway, along with sleds pulled by the White Wolves. The members of the Crown Territory stood beside them.

As everyone disembarked, they heard a strange chorus.

"Welcome, welcome, a warm welcome! WOOF WOOF WOOF!!" Maria, Erica, and Tammy were waving bunches of fir leaves, shouting a strange Chinese slogan.

The barking came from Prince; it wasn’t a curse word.

’What is going on?’

Everyone turned to look at Feng Shan, who wore a smug expression.

"Isn’t this how guests are welcomed back in China? We couldn’t find any fresh flowers, so we had to use fir leaves instead. You’ll have to make do. Conditions in the Crown Territory are poor."

’Alright, then!’

’It certainly is... unique.’

Xiaohua snorted and couldn’t help but laugh. Her laughter was infectious, and the others broke into relaxed smiles as well.

"Let’s go. First, we’ll head home. After such a long journey, you must be starving!" Feng Shan ushered everyone toward the vehicles.

"Brother Kai, those of you who know how to ride a snowmobile can take one."

"Xiaohua, you take the sled. It’s a smoother ride."

"Nash, you take Hu Zi. David, you take Black Hide!"

"Leave the luggage on the plane for now. Yves will bring it over later."

"Erica, you girls can throw away the leaves and get ready to sweep the runway!"

After a bit of commotion, everyone left the runway.

When they arrived at the riverbank of the new camp.

Zhang Kai’s group of four and Xiaohua’s group of three were all stunned by the sight of the babbling Ice River, where large fish occasionally broke the surface.

The clear water shimmered under the sun, and the silhouettes of large fish flickered in and out of view, creating a vibrant, living painting.

They crossed a wooden bridge, entered the camp, and felt the vibrant mossy vegetation underfoot.

The emerald-green moss covered the camp grounds like a soft carpet.

The snowmobiles were parked in a designated area by the river.

Feng Shan led them to a temporary residential area and pointed to a row of brand-new mini log cabins.

"Brother Kai, you guys can pick any cabin you want. No need to stay in tents."

"Brother Feng, you’ve really..." Zhang Kai was at a complete loss for words.

On the way here, he had been worried they’d freeze like dogs in a tent. Who would have thought Feng Shan would immediately play such a trump card?

Log cabins.

And this was supposed to be the harsh Alaska’s Far North Tundra.

"Brother Feng, don’t mind if I do!" Su Ziweng picked a cabin he liked, took the key, and went inside.

The other two also chose their own cabins and went in to have a look.

Su Ziweng came back out of his cabin. "Brother Kai, I’ve gotta say, the cabin may be small, but it has everything."

"Alright, alright, look at you, acting like you’ve never seen anything nice," Zhang Kai grumbled, then turned to Feng Shan and gave him a thumbs-up. "Brother Feng, you’ve done a great job here. Just like we discussed on the phone last time, leave it to me to set up a tourist route. We’ll definitely make a fortune."

"Okay, I’ll be counting on you then!" Feng Shan nodded.

A few days prior, the two had discussed tourism in the Crown Territory over the phone.

At the time, Zhang Kai’s impression of the Crown Territory was still stuck on the harsh environment where everyone lived in a single bus. He had planned to promote a route focused on wilderness survival. Now, however, it seemed that wilderness survival was far from enough.

As one of China’s top travel industry insiders, he could see the Crown Territory’s tourism potential at a glance.

"Brother, tell me, is the new camp going to stay this size, or will it expand?"

Faced with Zhang Kai’s serious expression, Feng Shan smiled faintly. He raised his hand and drew a large circle, encompassing the river beach and ending at his own feet.

"In the future, all of this will be just like this."

CLAP!

Zhang Kai clapped his hands excitedly and said in a low voice, "Alright then. I know exactly what to do."

Having finished admiring the Ice River, Xiaohua, Hu Zi, and Black Hide came over to Feng Shan’s side, looking expectantly at the beautiful mini log cabins. "Brother, are we staying in the log cabins too?"

"What are you talking about!" Feng Shan deliberately widened his eyes. "Having you stay in those little cabins? That would be an insult to me. Come on!"

He left Yves and the others to entertain Zhang Kai, while he led Xiaohua and her two companions to the tribal Fire Seed.

"Here, this is an earth-fire. It’s natural gas seeping up from the ground that’s been ignited. Don’t get too close; just watch from outside the fire pit," Feng Shan warned them.

MM-HMM!!

’A natural gas leak. No wonder it’s warmer here than outside.’

The three of them quickly took a few steps back.

Walking past the tribal Fire Seed, they saw a few more log cabins by the river, their style seemingly even nicer than the others.

"These are the staff dorms. I’ll introduce you all later." Feng Shan pointed to a large log house at the very end. "That’s where I live now. You’ll be staying with me."

Xiaohua, Black Hide, and Hu Zi looked up.

The three of them had actually noticed the large log house long ago, but they never imagined it was where Brother Shan lived.

Their faces filled with shock, their mouths hanging slightly open as if they could fit an egg inside.

Hu Zi stammered, "Brother Shan, this... this is too magnificent."

Xiaohua gazed quietly at the large log house, a hint of longing in her eyes.

Feng Shan smiled. "Come on. Jenny should have the rooms ready by now."

He led the three to the front of the log house and pushed the door open.

The first thing that greeted them was an entire wall of rifles, their dark red bodies giving off a cold glint.

Black Hide’s eyes widened, and he let out a gasp of awe. "Whoa! So many guns!"

Hu Zi was also stunned. He cautiously stepped forward, looking like he wanted to reach out and touch the guns but didn’t dare.

"Go on, grab one! What’re you scared of?" Feng Shan reached out, took down a rifle, expertly worked the bolt to check it, and handed it to Hu Zi. "Here. This is a Russian Mosin-Nagant M91. It’s over a hundred years old. My room is full of good guns."

No man can resist the allure of a gun. Hu Zi hastily took the rifle and cradled it in his arms.

"This one’s perfect!!"

"Brother, let me have one to play with, too," Black Hide said, itching with anticipation.

"Grab one yourself." Feng Shan wasn’t a fan of these antique rifles. Their rate of fire was too slow; they were only good for hanging on a wall as decoration.

They entered the living room.

Bright floor-to-ceiling windows allowed sunlight to pour into the house unimpeded. A fire roared in the fireplace, filling the spacious living room with warmth.

Xiaohua stood in the center of the living room, looking around with delight in her eyes, while Hu Zi and Black Hide explored the first floor. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

They discovered that the entire log house was built with logs thicker than a man’s waist. The wood had beautiful grain and exuded a natural fragrance.

Just then, Jenny appeared on the stairs.

Seeing a stranger, Xiaohua, Hu Zi, and Black Hide quickly gathered together. They felt a little awkward but were also curiously sizing Jenny up.

Their gazes lingered for a long time on the scar on Jenny’s face.

Jenny felt their stares but showed no displeasure, walking over with a smile.

’She’s coming over!’

’Who is this woman?’

’She couldn’t be Brother Shan’s girlfriend, could she?’

’Should we call her Sister-in-law?’

Just as the three were secretly speculating, Feng Shan asked with a smile, "Jenny, are the rooms ready?"

"They’re ready. Your sister is pregnant, so I was worried she might be allergic to the animal hides and switched them out for new quilts," Jenny said, nodding and smiling at the three of them.

Hearing Brother Shan speak to the woman, Hu Zi thought he was about to introduce them and quickly spoke up.

"Sis—"

Before he could get the rest of the word out, Feng Shan cut him off irritably. "What are you calling her? This is Jenny. You can call her Ms. Zhan. She’s the camp cook, responsible for feeding everyone."

Ah!

They’d made a huge blunder.

The three of them instantly flushed with embarrassment and looked at Jenny.

"Hello, Ms. Zhan."

Jenny didn’t understand Chinese and turned to look at Feng Shan.

"They’re saying hello to you. ’Ms. Zhan’ means ’Sister Jenny’."

Jenny immediately beamed, stepped forward to take Xiaohua’s hand, and responded in her newly learned Chinese.

"Wo nen die!!"

"!!!" The expressions on the faces of Xiaohua, Hu Zi, and Black Hide froze instantly. They stared at Feng Shan.

’Brother Shan.’

’What does she mean by that?’

’We say hello, and she says she’s our dad!!’
