「Saint Paul Island.」

Feng Mountain and his group were supposed to go straight to the log cabin, but halfway there, Su Ziweng started clamoring to try the island’s local specialties. So, they changed course and headed for Lady Margaret’s inn instead.

The energetic young man had no choice but to turn the Pickup Truck around. He dropped the four of them off safely in front of the inn and watched as Feng Mountain stepped out.

"Mr. Feng, should I wait for you here?"

Feng Mountain turned, a smile spreading across his face. "Pal, if I don’t have to pay for the ride, then I’d be delighted."

"Goodbye, have a great day!" The energetic young man didn’t hesitate to slam on the gas, and the Pickup Truck shot off toward the airport like an arrow loosed from a bow.

It kicked up a cloud of dust, then quickly vanished down the road.

Feng Mountain shook his head with a chuckle. A familiar warmth washed over him as he looked at the inn before him.

"Lady Margaret’s cooking is incredible."

With that, he walked into the inn.

The wooden door brushed against the wind chimes, letting out a crisp, pleasant jingle that seemed to welcome their arrival.

A fat cat waddled out, its body plump. The moment it saw Feng Mountain, it became instantly affectionate, winding around his legs with its tail held high, sweeping gently against him.

"Tom, who is it?" Lady Margaret’s gentle and kind voice called out from the small balcony.

A moment later, she emerged, carrying a heavy laundry basket.

Her smile was as warm and kind as ever, and her eyes lit up with pleasant surprise when she saw Feng Mountain and his companions.

Feng Mountain strode forward and took the laundry basket from her, his eyes full of concern. "Lady Margaret, this is too heavy for you. Why don’t you hire someone to help?"

"The inn’s income can’t compare to your *River Beach*," Lady Margaret teased with a kindly smile. "A regular crewman can make 400,000 in a single week out at sea. If I were twenty years younger, I’d want to join your crew myself!"

"If you wanted to go right now, I’d agree in a heartbeat! I’d even give you the captain’s quarters!" Feng Mountain’s flattering reply made Lady Margaret grin from ear to ear.

Back in the living room, she noticed the three unfamiliar young men. Guessing they were with Feng Mountain, she asked in confusion,

"Didn’t you buy the log cabin on the mountain? Why are you bringing people here?"

With a brilliant smile, Feng Mountain continued to lavish praise on Lady Margaret’s cooking. "They heard your culinary skills are incredible, so they came all this way just for a taste."

In truth, it didn’t matter much to Lady Margaret whether she had guests or not. She simply didn’t want to be stuck at home alone, like one of those old folks with one foot in the grave, just sitting blankly on the sofa all day.

Losing track of time, oblivious to the world changing outside.

Silently waiting for death.

A warmth bloomed in Lady Margaret’s eyes, like a spring breeze gently caressing the hearts of everyone present.

"My dears, thank you for appreciating my cooking. Just wait a little while."

Soon, the aroma of cooking food began to drift from the kitchen.

Wisps of the scent found their way to the men’s noses, stoking their appetites and making them all the more eager for the delicious meal to come.

While they were waiting for the meal to be ready, 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Alvin came rushing into the inn, a large halibut in one hand and a styrofoam cooler in the other. His tone held a hint of complaint, yet it was brimming with the joy of seeing Feng Mountain.

"Boss, how come you didn’t let me know you were coming to Saint Paul Island?"

"We just arrived ourselves," Feng Mountain said as he went to greet him—or rather, to greet the ingredients in Alvin’s hands.

Saint Paul Island had two local specialties: halibut and snow crab. They could already see the halibut, so the styrofoam cooler must contain snow crab.

Although the snow crab season was over, a small amount of fishing for personal use was still permitted. As long as you weren’t selling it, no one would bother you.

"Get in the kitchen and help. Don’t tell me you expect the boss to cook himself."

Feng Mountain glared at Alvin, who simply shook his head with a wry smile and carried the ingredients into the kitchen.

Before long, one sumptuous dish after another was brought out from the kitchen.

The pan-seared halibut gave off an enticing aroma, its golden-brown skin perfectly crisp, the flesh within tender and succulent.

The creamy snow crab was rich and fragrant, its meat plump and succulent.

The snow crab baked with cheese was a mouth-watering dish, perfectly blending the richness of the cheese with the sweetness of the crab.

There was steamed snow crab, which preserved the crab’s natural, umami flavor, a delicious cream of mushroom soup...

In no time at all, the large table was laden with food.

When the final dish, a snow crab congee, was served, the thick porridge radiated a delicate aroma of rice and the umami of fresh crab.

The feast officially began.

Alvin produced a bottle of liquor from somewhere, grinning. "This here is Crown vodka. I traded some Russians an Emperor Crab for it more than ten years ago, and I’ve been saving it ever since."

However, Su Ziweng and Young Master Xu were in no condition to enjoy it. The mere sight of the liquor made them feel nauseous.

This left Alvin completely baffled, as he couldn’t understand their reaction.

’It’s one thing if you don’t want to drink, fine.’

’But what’s this about puking just from looking at it? Are you dissing my vodka?’

A flicker of indignation sparked within him, feeling that his prized treasure was being disrespected.

Feng Mountain laughed and explained how the two drunks had gotten so hammered the night before that they’d nearly missed their flight that morning.

After hearing Feng Mountain’s explanation, Alvin’s indignation gradually faded.

He nodded in understanding and let the two of them off the hook, proceeding to finish the entire bottle with Feng Mountain, one glass after another.

As for the two "young masters," they could only channel their misery into their appetites, launching an all-out assault on the feast before them.

After dinner,

Everyone wore looks of contentment.

Young Master Xu offered to pay for the meal, but Mrs. Marguerite repeatedly refused to accept the money. She argued that it was just an ordinary dinner and that since Alvin had brought most of the ingredients, she had only helped with the cooking and didn’t need to be paid.

But Feng Mountain knew that Lady Margaret had a good-for-nothing son who leeched off of her and that her life wasn’t easy. He forcibly pressed the money into her hand,
