Chapter 352: Reap What You Sow

Sun Fang sat in his car, lost in thought. The revelation of his hidden sister weighed heavily on his mind. He never imagined his father could keep such a monumental secret, concealing an entire human being for nearly two decades. Part of him understood the fear that had driven his father’s actions. He knew all too well the years of anguish Sun Weilong had endured before Sun Lixia’s return home.

As his thoughts turned to Yang Bojun, Sun Fang felt his blood begin to boil. The audacity of the man, threatening his own flesh and blood for the sake of power and greed. With a quick command to his driver, Sun Fang directed them to the office. He needed to see Sun Gang, to share this earth-shattering news with his brother.

The moment the car pulled up to the Sun Group building, Sun Fang was out the door. He strode purposefully through the lobby, long legs carrying him swiftly to the elevator. As he ascended to the top executive floor, his mind raced with how to break the news to Sun Gang.

Without bothering to knock, Sun Fang pushed open the door to the CEO’s office. The sight that greeted him stopped him cold. Sun Gang sat behind his desk, and across from him, looking far too comfortable, was Yang Bojun.

"Don’t you know how to knock?" Sun Gang’s irritated voice cut through the tension.

Sun Fang’s eyes narrowed. "What is he doing here?"

Sun Gang leaned back in his chair, a look of casual disdain on his face. "Last I checked, he was also a Sun and a shareholder here."

Sun Fang fixed Yang Bojun with a hostile glare. "Leave. I want to talk to my brother in private."

A low chuckle escaped Yang Bojun’s lips. "I see your father never taught you manners."

"Get out," Sun Fang growled, his patience wearing thin.

"Brother, that is not the right way to talk to your uncle," Sun Gang chided, his tone maddeningly calm.

Sun Fang’s anger flared. "You mean the illegitimate son of Grandpa? I have no respect for someone like him."

"Well, I do," Sun Gang replied coolly. "And this is my office, so he isn’t going anywhere."

Sun Fang clenched his fists, struggling to contain his rage. "Fine. I hope you won’t regret this one day."

"What is that supposed to mean, boy?" Yang Bojun interjected, his voice laced with mock concern.

"I am talking to my brother, not you," Sun Fang snapped.

Sun Gang waved a dismissive hand. "Why don’t you go to your own office and get busy with your chairman duties, little bro?"

"Whatever," Sun Fang spat. He turned on his heel and stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind him.

As he made his way back to the elevator, Sun Fang’s mind raced. Sun Gang had chosen to align himself with Yang Bojun, seemingly oblivious to the danger the man posed. Or perhaps, Sun Fang thought bitterly, his brother was well aware and simply didn’t care.

Fine, he thought. Let Sun Gang reap what he sows. Soon enough, he would learn the true nature of the snake he had welcomed into their midst. And when that day came, Sun Fang would be there, ready to protect his family – all of his family – from the threat that lurked within their own ranks.

As the door slammed behind Sun Fang, a tense silence settled over the office. Sun Gang and Yang Bojun exchanged knowing glances, the air thick with unspoken schemes.

Sun Gang leaned back in his plush leather chair, a sardonic smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Well, that was quite the performance from my dear little brother."

Yang Bojun chuckled, his eyes glinting with malice. "Indeed. It seems your father’s revelation has ruffled some feathers."

"No doubt," Sun Gang replied, his tone bitter. "But let’s not waste time on Fang’s theatrics. We have more pressing matters to discuss."

Yang Bojun nodded, leaning forward. "Ah yes, our plans for the Sun Group. Tell me, nephew, how does it feel to be passed over not once, but twice?"

Sun Gang’s face darkened, his hands clenching into fists on the desk. "It’s an insult beyond measure. First, Grandpa Sun leaves the majority shares to Aunt Lixia - a woman, and worse, one who’s already married into another family. And then, as if that wasn’t enough of a slap in the face, she hands the chairmanship to Fang."

"A grave injustice," Yang Bojun agreed, his voice dripping with false sympathy. "You, the eldest son, the rightful heir to the Sun legacy, cast aside like yesterday’s newspaper."

Sun Gang nodded, his eyes burning with resentment. "Exactly. I’ve dedicated my life to this company, sacrificed everything for its success. And for what? To be relegated to the sidelines while my younger brother plays at being a leader?"

Yang Bojun leaned back, steepling his fingers. "But we can change all that, can’t we? With your insider knowledge and my... persuasive tactics, we can reshape the Sun Group in our image."

A slow, dangerous smile spread across Sun Gang’s face. "Yes, we can. Father may have his secrets, but he’s grown weak, sentimental. And Fang? He’s too idealistic, too caught up in his notions of family loyalty."

"They underestimate you," Yang Bojun said, his voice silky smooth. "A mistake they’ll soon regret."

Sun Gang stood, walking to the window that overlooked the sprawling cityscape. "Once we consolidate our power, there will be no stopping us. The Sun Group will be ours to command, to shape as we see fit."

Yang Bojun joined him at the window, placing a hand on Sun Gang’s shoulder. "And what of your sister? This... Sun Ming?"

A flicker of surprise crossed Sun Gang’s face before he schooled his features into a mask of indifference. "No matter. She’s been hidden away for nearly two decades. What difference could she possibly make now?"

"Never underestimate the power of a secret revealed," Yang Bojun warned. "But fear not. I have plans in motion that will ensure she remains... inconsequential."

Sun Gang turned to face his uncle, his eyes cold and determined. "Do what you must. I won’t let anyone - not Father, not Fang, and certainly not some long-lost sister - stand in the way of what’s rightfully mine."

As the two men stood there, silhouetted against the city skyline, the air crackled with the energy of their shared ambition. The Sun Group, and all the power it represented, was within their grasp. And they would stop at nothing to seize it, no matter the cost to their family or their souls.

Sun Fang stormed into his office, slamming the door behind him. The encounter with Sun Gang and Yang Bojun had left him shaken, a cold unease settling in the pit of his stomach. He paced the room, his mind racing with the implications of what he’d just witnessed.

The sight of his brother, so comfortable in Yang Bojun’s presence, gnawed at him. Sun Gang had always been ambitious, but this... this felt different. Dangerous.

Unable to shake the feeling of impending doom, Sun Fang reached for his phone. He hesitated for a moment, thumb hovering over his father’s contact. With a deep breath, he made the call.

Sun Weilong answered on the third ring, his voice weary. "Fang? Is everything alright?"

"Dad," Sun Fang began, his voice tight with tension. "We need to talk. It’s about Gang."

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "What about him?"

Sun Fang closed his eyes, leaning against his desk. "I went to his office to tell him about... about Sun Ming. But when I got there, he was with Yang Bojun."

"Yang Bojun?" Sun Weilong’s voice sharpened. "What was he doing there?"

"I don’t know, Dad. But the way they were acting... it wasn’t right. Gang was defending him, calling him ’uncle.’ He wouldn’t even let me speak to him alone."

Sun Weilong’s sigh crackled through the phone. "I was afraid of this. Gang’s been... distant lately. Resentful."

"Dad, I think it’s more than that," Sun Fang pressed. "The look in his eyes when he was with Yang Bojun... I’ve never seen him like that before. It was like he was a different person."

"What are you saying, Fang?"

Sun Fang took a deep breath, steeling himself. "I’m saying we can’t trust Gang. Not anymore. Whatever Yang Bojun is planning, I think Gang is in on it."

The silence that followed was deafening. When Sun Weilong finally spoke, his voice was heavy with sadness and resignation. "I never wanted to believe it could come to this. My own son..."

"I’m sorry, Dad. I wish it wasn’t true. But after what I saw today... we need to be careful. We can’t let our guard down for a second."

"You’re right," Sun Weilong agreed, his voice hardening with resolve. "We’ll need to move quickly to protect Ming. And we’ll need to watch Gang closely. If he’s allied himself with Yang Bojun, there’s no telling what they might do."

Sun Fang nodded, even though his father couldn’t see him. "I’ll keep an eye on things here at the office. You focus on getting Sun Ming home safely."

"Thank you, Fang. I... I’m sorry you’re caught in the middle of all this."

"Don’t apologize, Dad. We’re family. We’ll face this together, no matter what."

As Sun Fang ended the call, he gazed out the window at the city below. The Sun Group had weathered many storms over the years, but this... this felt like a tempest that could tear them apart from within.

With a heavy heart but steely determination, Sun Fang turned back to his desk. There was work to be done, a sister to protect, and a brother to watch. The game had changed, and the stakes had never been higher. But Sun Fang was ready for the fight ahead, no matter where it might lead.
